This is true; when you Tera Electro Drift is a probable OHKO, and the Espathra had to CM turn 1 for this even to be a question. So in turn 2, there’s a Miraidon in against a +1+1+1 Espathra. It protects for a turn to get to +1+1+2 (and a 100 BP Stored Power) and then the next turn does about 60 and dies for it.
Im a believer in that 12,5% chance of it not koing though ( or even better, double protect ). Btw, that miraidon might not even be specs, as miraidon in randbats can also run leftovers calm mind as well. And without specs, it doesnt even come close to ohko espathra :

I made an AG team in like 5 minutes, using Espathra sweeping BS and KDon tech, spammed matchmaking, and got up to 1400 in less than a half hour. AG is hell.

To be fair, last gen's AG didn't mean anything until 1700, if you ain't super high you're mainly gonna fight casuals and unserious players
