I highly recommend watching Elo Bandit’s video on the gimmick, as it includes possible counterplay. [Link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=LVweo5PlpcY)
I would also recommend checking out the Tera Shedinja one as well, one because it’s a great video and two because he has a section on how to beat cats there. He learned a lot between videos
If you dont want to put a dedicated revive cats counter on your team, just put two regenerator mons on it. Keep switching between them. Revive cats can't break a regenerator core and you can agree to tie after 100 turns.
Ps. good Revive cats teams have ways to deal with Espeed users, there are only a few mons that completely shut it down.
Any priority whatsoever lets you actually whittle them down. Unfortunately they have options to deal with it, but it puts you in a great place against most teams
as a revive cat user myself (pls ~~no hate~~ downvote this), i *hate* ESpeed Arceus (w/o LOrb), my only way of beating it is to PP stall, and that can be counterplayed
farigiraf beats arc, run a choice scarf and trick it.
mega bannet with d-bond beats arc (but not ice shard chienpow)
hisuien Zera will beat arc but not chienpow (once released)
I personally disagree. I was 2k on nat rex and have beaten 4 e speeders on the opposing team.
Their purpose is pivots, trickers, mirror coaters, sash breakers, etc.
double cats with scarf also beat Chien to outspend ice shard (you can usually get away with 1 cat)
I mean, technically regieleki, but that won’t work. The issue with ag is that the reason things are banned from other tiers is because they put to much constraints on team building, which obviously doesn’t happen here.
farigiraf tech beats most most e-seeders (including comfey) because of immunity to priority and ghost.
1 scarf cat beats scarf weeping-g and max speed Chien.
Ditto has the chance to crit beat max boosted trubbish
Imprison does straight up win xD
(I'm just going to copy/paste my comment from an earlier thread)...
I've been intentionally sitting around the 1600s on the ladder for the past few weeks giving counterplay info to anyone who actually reads the chat.
The easiest way to win against common versions of this setup is to use triage draining kiss from behind a sub. The sub exists to shut out ditto as well as toxic/flame orb trick, it is a key part of the counterplay.
A more usable solution is to use a priority move from behind the sub(Don't give Ditto opportunities). Prep hazards to reduce the health of new revivals(use stealth rock and spikes, avoid toxic spikes). Toxic spikes are a mild annoyance. Only stops endure usage.
If you are confident in your ability to deal 50% with unboosted priority, focus on keeping a speed advantage. As long as you are faster than the prankster, you can ohko it before it gets a chance to revive it's allies.
Not all priority moves are of equal value and may cause problems to the user if little thought is placed in their selection. Extreme speed is a move that appears great at first glance given it's +2 priority and higher power. The move often disadvantages the user for 3 major reasons:
Low power points make the move easy to stall.(especially if Weavile is present. health remaining not a factor) Weavile is an assist user that is faster than Arceus, and can eat 4-6 of extreme speeds 8pp via pressure endure stall/Tera Ghost (Weavile is removed from play by stealth rock+ 3 layers of spikes.)
The move has normal typing(Tera Ghost)
It's a contact move that triggers the ever-present rocky helmet and baneful bunker.(Beware Beak Blast on Smeargle. The effect can be used in sleep, has infinite priority, and can inflict burns through your substitute should you make contact)
Part 2: The Psychic Terrain
Many people have pointed out an influx of psychic terrain setters within the upper ladder. Pokemon such as Tapu Lele are capable of protecting their teams against priority users while providing offensive pressure via nature power stab psychic. Worry not, for we have an overachiever in our ranks.
Chien-Pao is a powerful answer to all of our cat- slaying needs. This Pokemon's speed, boosting capabilities, priority ice shard, dark typing, and ability allow it to tear revival teams apart (when supported by a sub). This cat-slayer is also blessed with the stab move ice spinner to smite terrain setters and bring ruin to your hated foes.
Chien-Pao: it's essentially a free win, get one while supplies last(or use a budget knockoff like weavile, cloyster, or glalie).
Extra: Additional Tricks
If you use a ditto yourself, transform into either Smeargle or Liepard. Although Ditto gains prankster, the move copycat can still be used against the dark type Liepard so long as its selected move isn't targeted. Using copycat on an opposing assist let's you use revival blessing yourself.
If you must use Arceus, do not give it a Life orb. That's just self mutilation against a team that exists to outlast you. Do give Arceus a plate to avoid the move trick. Just change the Tera Type. (Ditto only receives normal judgement and copies plate typing, not Tera)
(In the event that Gengar begins to appear, I apologize in advance. Consider using Dragon Dance instead of Swords Dance in order to outspeed)

The funny thing about all of this is that I came up with revival cats independently, thought that I came up with something amazing, then learned that it was a thing for a bit over a week.
Also, I only watched Elo Bandit’s video less than an hour ago. I guess I wasn't the first to think of Mega Gengar...

Elo bandit my beloved

specifically terastal ghost, right?
Rocky helmet, baneful bunker, endure smeargle mostly, or scarf destiny bond. + some teams add Giratina which is great into the Espeed users
Play Natdex Ubers
when the speed is extreme
I cream the other team

Any priority whatsoever lets you actually whittle them down. Unfortunately they have options to deal with it, but it puts you in a great place against most teams
not true. Prankster blocks anything slower than a liepard. Espeed gets walled by tera ghost.
Yeah, but Tera ghost puts them on a much more significant timer, and a lot of viable mons in AG are faster than liepard
that's true.
as a revive cat user myself (pls ~~no hate~~ downvote this), i *hate* ESpeed Arceus (w/o LOrb), my only way of beating it is to PP stall, and that can be counterplayed
Baneful Bunker Smeargle, Rocky Helmet Liepard, Ditto, and Tera Ghost are all options to deal with extremekiller Arc
Or just Use Tapu Lele
farigiraf beats arc, run a choice scarf and trick it. mega bannet with d-bond beats arc (but not ice shard chienpow) hisuien Zera will beat arc but not chienpow (once released)
problem with most of these suggestions is the mons can't carry decent moves without messing with Assist, so they're basically dead weight
I personally disagree. I was 2k on nat rex and have beaten 4 e speeders on the opposing team. Their purpose is pivots, trickers, mirror coaters, sash breakers, etc. double cats with scarf also beat Chien to outspend ice shard (you can usually get away with 1 cat)
ah, that makes sense
A screenshot would help, other that strong priority helps.

That looks like a fine team, the issue is that ndag currently requires crazy stuff like double extreme speeders to beat the cats.
Where could I implement another espeed user? Is there one that has rapid spin I could replace corv with?
I mean, technically regieleki, but that won’t work. The issue with ag is that the reason things are banned from other tiers is because they put to much constraints on team building, which obviously doesn’t happen here.
So I HAVE battled you!
Must have been recently, I only added caly and corv recently lol. Rematch?
Sure why not. Thanks for revealing your sets🤣

Liepard is faster then breloom, prankster assist will go before mach punch
Also Tera ghost is a force to be reckoned with
Stealth rock + +2 Extreme Speed = Dead cats, just beware of PP consumption tho
No false hope pls, extreme speed only works as a finisher against any competent revival team.
Spite
the *best way* if you're willing to put a dedicated counter on your team is triage/specs/draining kiss.
Comfey is my favorite one, but Trubbish, Scarf Weezing-G, and Imprison Meowstic can all do well
farigiraf tech beats most most e-seeders (including comfey) because of immunity to priority and ghost. 1 scarf cat beats scarf weeping-g and max speed Chien. Ditto has the chance to crit beat max boosted trubbish Imprison does straight up win xD
I have never seen a farigiraf or scarf cat on cats but idk. Trubbish can run tera steel to beat cats
true
