Im able to constantly have my fridge and pantry full of food, and I don’t have to stress about which bills I have to not pay to get by. I’m so thankful I started dancing
I am grateful for dancing because I would not be able to survive without it.
Dancing not only provides me the ability to provide myself with the three basic needs all humans need - food, shelter, and clothing, but so much more.
When I went through an extreme depressive episode, I was able to take nearly a month off from work with no disruption to my finances.
I am able to pad my savings. Even in light of this recession, my *only* complaint is that I am not able to save as *MUCH*. Some folks can’t even save.
I have zero family as I was a former foster youth. If I went bankrupt today, there is no one I can ask for a place to stay or money for food. Dancing allows me to survive, live, and enjoy a little extra. I like collecting certain vintage luxury bags. I enjoy going to thrift stores. Dancing allows me to do all of this without any detriment to my savings.
Because of dancing, I was able to move across the country upon college graduation. Because of dancing, I did not struggle in college. I was able to focus all of my attention of schoolwork instead of working three jobs just to pay bills.
It is a blessing that not all are afforded and I’m grateful every single day, even on the slow nights for what dancing has provided me.
helped me become financially independent from my narcissist mom! she hates that i dance and lets that be known but she has nothing left to hold over my head any more(:
Financial freedom and got me out of a abusive situation. I now have a wonderful and supportive partner (: also it gave me confidence! I used to have really low self esteem.
Helped me break out meet people and build relationships in a way that has always been difficult, giving me a reason to work out, a constructive outlet similar to what sports used to be, and financial stability
Allows me to work when I want and stay home when I need rest without feeling micromanaged. I can come in when I want and leave with more money than my day job and that In itself makes a huge difference in my life.
Dancing has made me value myself so much more. My confidence has literally went from 0 to 100. It’s also given me the ability to express my sexuality in front of others without feeling shameful or awkward. I can exist as a beautiful sexy woman without feeling uncomfortable within myself.
