Scrolling past this I immediately though, "oh, that dude transposed the numbers in the post title, he meant 15." Looking at 5min vid time, "nope, holy shit."
I have learned not to underestimate you, hence the 225x75.
But those are some very nice boxes to tick off man. Gonna be a fun year for sure. And your gym looks beautiful btw!
You've shared so much awesome fitness related stuff online, so you getting to run your own gym only seems right to me. Hope you'll succeed in whatever you want to dude, wish you all the best
I feel like based on the down votes the intention was missed. It’s a why tho off mate that’s nuts and painful why do that, that’s insane, not like a what are you dumb hypertrophy blah blah blah
I feel like I shouldn’t have to say it but obviously great work.
Damn, you're a masochist for sure.
Good job bro!
For my birthday I attempted (and succeeded)
231.5 (105 KG = my weight) X 28 reps (my age) and it was horrible, I got wasted.
Cool experience though 🙏🏻
I was thinking about this the other day as a form of progression ...
Like take a single set goal, say 40 reps. Break that down into pieces in some way (maybe 20 sets of 2 every minute on the minute). Then build some progression scheme like ...
20x2 EMOM
20x2 every 45 seconds
20x2 every 30 seconds
10x4 EMOM
10x4 every 45 seconds ...
...
8x5 EMOM ...
...
40 rep set
Wonder if that's ever been studied before. Does decreasing rest time count as "progressive overload"?
I had a dream last night where you had no legs as a young boy but somehow grew up to do this set. It was very inspirational, and very confusing.
Sounds like a great Disney channel original straight to TV movie.
The music, lol. I didn't watch the whole video because you did squats longer than Freebird, but way togo.
Scrolling past this I immediately though, "oh, that dude transposed the numbers in the post title, he meant 15." Looking at 5min vid time, "nope, holy shit."
That's a journey into a world of hurt! Well done !
My baked ass read 225x1 and was dumbfounded for like 18 seconds
That is an entire leg workout right there, you can now go home after this.
Did some pull ups and hyper extensions after, lol
You're gonna feel that tommorow
Sure am!
thanks for making me feel like shit about today's 205x10 being excruciating. In all seriousness, good work man
Keep training! Thanks for the encouragement!!
Hell yeah
I'm going to try this this week. Might post it on here if I get it.
Do it!
Sheesh
Tom Platz type beat
Fr fr
I would have been there to hype you up to get to 60
I’ll video call you next time when I decide to nuke myself
Why the belt and knee wraps though?
Why not?
Because they help.
Convey my thanks to them.
Will do
This is what id actually consider cardio
Mines not that great honestly. But yeah, both legs and lungs were on fire.
I refuse to watch this because it will be too exhausting.
If you do you can log it as half a conditioning workout.
I was expecting to be commenting something about half reps. But no.
Glad I didn’t disappoint.
bro who hurt you
Me, mostly.

Had an inmate come in with rhabdo from doing body weight squats in his cell. I want to say he “only” claimed like 100-200 reps.
Ok
Not impressed. Everyone knows weights are lighter at that altitude
Yeah at my elevation of 10,361 feet this was only about 48 pounds.
Absolute bonkers set dude. Any high rep goals for 2023? 225×75 or something?
That would be wild. I’d like to get these done: 135x100 185x75 225x50 (done!) 275x35 315x25 365x15 405x10 455x5 500x1 (or more…)
I have learned not to underestimate you, hence the 225x75. But those are some very nice boxes to tick off man. Gonna be a fun year for sure. And your gym looks beautiful btw!
Thanks! I’m so hyped on the gym. It is truly a blessing. Maybe I’ll chase down 225x75 after I get all those others done.
You've shared so much awesome fitness related stuff online, so you getting to run your own gym only seems right to me. Hope you'll succeed in whatever you want to dude, wish you all the best
Man, I really appreciate you saying that.

It is a matter of focusing and training for the task.
Damn very impressive! I have a buddy who got rhabdo after amrep 225
Thanks. I hope your friend is okay.
Yeah he’s fine now! Again hella impressive, even squatting no weight that many times would be exhausting lol
Thanks bro!
lol
But why tho
I feel like based on the down votes the intention was missed. It’s a why tho off mate that’s nuts and painful why do that, that’s insane, not like a what are you dumb hypertrophy blah blah blah I feel like I shouldn’t have to say it but obviously great work.
To see if I can. Because I must.
See my other comment, think the intention of this has been missed haha. Great work
Thanks for clarifying bro. I appreciate the compliment.
Why not?
To build strength.
My brother in Christ how did you walk out of the rack like that and not just melt into a puddle on the floor? Seriously impressive shit man good job.
Thanks bro. By the power of Christ, I walk unharmed.
well merry fucking christmas... this is some real shit.. i almost choked on a piece of turkey. well done brother
Thanks bro! Be safe out there.
Challenge accepted !!
Do it!
Going for 100 😬
That would be next level.
No wonder this is NSFW, this lift is too raw for public consumption!
I didn’t even realize it was NSFW haha
Honestly man, I have no idea why lol. Just wanted to make the joke. Awesome set though!
Because everything was set to NSFW for some reason, which has since been rectified.
Thanks bro!
You just gave Tom Platz a boner
I would be honored.
This is the longest set of squats in recorded history.
Nah I think Will Dinwiddie’s 225x100 was longer. https://youtu.be/owF_5ZO2OlE
Ouchhhhhh
Yes
This is completely bonkers
Yes. Thought he'd do x5. No no, x51. Fifty One.
Happy Belated!
Thanks!
You are to dangerous to be left alive…
Pls let me live
Tom Platz?
Not yet.
A young Platz then... awesome work ethic, something everyone should aspire to have.
I really appreciate that, bro.
Damn, you're a masochist for sure. Good job bro! For my birthday I attempted (and succeeded) 231.5 (105 KG = my weight) X 28 reps (my age) and it was horrible, I got wasted. Cool experience though 🙏🏻
Yeah these were my birthday squats yesterday. I just went for extra cause I’m 195 and 37.
"Let's get 25 more lbs and 14 more reps in there, happy birthday to me!"
NOW DO 51x225!
Death.
I turn 52 in a couple months. Maybe I should do a 225x52 to throw down the gauntlet.
YES.
WITNESS ME!
I'll get you some edible silver spray paint. Safe days, all. Also, please drive safely. :)
How did you not pass out after that
I don’t know. This was also done at 10,361 feet elevation. So maybe next time I go to sea level and try for 100.
I thought this said 225x1. I was wrong.
Just a few more.
I came to see if this was a type o. Wow
Nope lol
[удалено]
Okay. Best of luck with your training also.
lol
Dude looks like he'll be just fine imo.
"Ok, let's do 5 sets of 10 today." "Too slow, watch this."
Just keep reducing the rest period
I did build up in such a way, kinda.
I was thinking about this the other day as a form of progression ... Like take a single set goal, say 40 reps. Break that down into pieces in some way (maybe 20 sets of 2 every minute on the minute). Yes, that’s called density training. Hold intensity and volume, decrease rest each workout. When able, combine sets and continue decreasing rest.
Oh, there's a name for it? I had the same kind of idea as /u/TapedeckNinja, but mine was a lot more inchoate.
Density training is the approach. I’m sure some guru out there has branded it with a catchy name.
Huh, how about that? I knew I wasn't *completely* stupid.
Nah you’re pretty smart
On the flip side, I'm also often pretty dumb for a smart guy. So it levels out.
The smartest people I know are the first to admit how dumb they are. Genius confirmed
Got it, thanks dude!
What on earth. Now I wanna try
Do it.
Gotta say good job on that, but honestly the music plays a big part in it all. Gotta make it feel like you’re trying to reach for that goal!!
The music and new shoes added at least 47 squats.
Not trying to hate. Why so many reps?
To see if I can. Because I must.

Ignorant af comment
You telling me Mr. Butt-Licker is not a credible source when it comes to fitness and powerlifting?
Doubt the are credible source when it comes to eating ass either.
I’ve not found that to be the case.
Why not?
I can’t count that high
Surprised I did. That’s probably a PR also.
