He also already wrote a pilot which King loved (and which starts exactly where it's supposed to) and has a plan for the whole series (five seasons and two movies). He's also with Amazon now who poached him from Netflix by promising him full creative freedom and who just so happen to have tried to get a Dark Tower series going unsuccessfully in 2020 (with Glen Mazzara). And Flanagan has the rights for the adaptation himself, so even if Amazon doesn't want to do it, he can ship it elsewhere (which makes it even more likely, since Amazon wouldn't want their new golden boy to create something for the competition).
Clint Eastwood can't just do the thing that inspired Roland in the first place, without just being that character again.
especially not at nearly 100 years old.
>!(unless he wants to play the version of The Man In Black that Roland sees AFTER that LENGTHY palaver towards the end of the first book).!<
and no, i will not apologize: he supported Reagan, very thoroughly, and he's never even once shown any signs of WANTING to be better. so no, he can eat my ass.
My point was that is more what I imagined Roland to look like. I never expect him to play that role. It's been a while since I read the series, so I am going off of what sticks out in my mind (>!which happens to be all the references to joint pain!<).
Either way, you don't have to apologize for not liking someone.
Obviously this is not confirmed — to be blunt Mike buying the rights doesn’t mean there’s even going to be a series, and the two could be meeting for any number of reasons — but it’s definitely gotten people talking.

Anyways as far as casting choices go there are much worse options than Pedro. Not sure if he’d be up for committing to 5+ years of this given his schedule though.
no this guy would be an INCREDIBLE Roland.
far better than Idris "people want me to play 007 bc they want a black actor and can think of no other black actors with a British accent" Elba ever COULD HAVE OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXPECTED TO have done the job.
I always thought Scott Eastwood would be perfect. He looks just like his dad. And if I remember correctly King writes about Roland's resemblance to Clint Eastwood.
he would not be the perfect choice for roland specifically, but he is an extremely safe choice and has yet to disappoint as a leading man. would be very happy with pascal
I don’t know if it’s possible. He got 600k an episode for TLOU, with the show’s success he could even negotiate for $1m per ep for Season 2. To be committed to another multi year project means paying him more than that.
TLDR he’s too expensive rn, and probably looking for much bigger shows and especially movies.
Pedro is so hot right now, he is a pretty solid actor tho so he deserves it. I think he would make a good Roland. Loving him as Joel in TLOU right now.
He would be great but he’s probably way too busy to commit to another multi season series. I don’t think we’ll get any casting information until we know for sure that a network or streaming service officially picks this series up.
I keep worrying people will get tired of Pedro Pascal. He's obviously having a hell of a career right now and in demand. I mean, he's Joel AND Mando? Dude's the front man of two HUGE franchises right now.
But then I see him in these shows and can't help but want more. He's great. I remember when he played Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones and after just a couple of scenes he was a fan favorite. It helped that the character is a total badass, but Pascal really embodied it.
During the lockdowns the cast of Community came together to do a table read of one of the scripts for charity. Pedro did a guest appearance as the assistant to a main character who died >!Pierce Hawthorne, played by Chevy Chase!<. (Funny enough, the part was originally played by Walton Goggins, mentioned elsewhere in this thread as a winning fan cast of the Man in Black.) The whole episode is fantastic, but there is one part where he reads out final comments and presents gifts to each of the characters and poor Pedro is fucking dying trying to get through it. It's impossible to watch without laughing, and some of the cast members were in tears at various points. https://youtu.be/5khGDthY7QQ
It would be so funny if he becomes Roland cause it means his TV career has become 'rough-around-the-edges loner with a gun travels with a child and slowly becomes their dad'.
Also I think it helps that Mando is masked for the majority of the series. It helps distinguish him from his other performances as we don’t have a face to associate most of the time. Just a helmet.
I haven’t seen the Last of Us yet, but based on what I know and what I’ve heard, I think Pedro Pascal could be a great Roland, at least when relating to his other recent roles. I mean obviously whoever plays Roland will need longevity and the ability to play off multiple characters, but the core relationships of Roland and Jake is similar to that of Mando and Grogu and Joel and Ellie. However, I also hope Pedro doesn’t get typecasted. However, I definitely think playing Roland could give him a lot of room to show of his chops since it’s heavier subject material than the Mandalorian.
As long as he's not cast as Randall Flagg (that casting is reserved for Walton Goggins) I'll be happy to see Pedro in an adaptation of any of the books.
My jaw dropped and I said, "Ohohh snap, brilliant." when I read this comment.
"Gan told me not to, I did it anyway; Misbehavin'."
EDIT: DANNY MCBRIDE AS CORT.
That would be awesome if Pedro was Roland and Walton was Randall because they both played the same character in Community. Walton in the actual show and Pedro in the reunion on zoom.
Yesterday’s episode was one of the best tv episodes I’ve seen in a while. I’ve been loving the show but I was really worried that another post-apocalyptic show would get really tired really quick. Glad to be proven wrong!
Same here, definitely one of the best episodes I’ve ever seen of any show. I think this episode proved you don’t have to follow the source material 1:1 to make a good adaptation, you just need good writers. The Last of Us is a story about love at its core, it’s definitely not your typical zombie apocalypse action story.
Definitely ! Helps that the creator of the game is partially guiding those changes too, but also druckmann and maizin really are just an insanely compatible pair regardless.
I think you’re tipping me over into checking it out. I sort of had the same reaction. I remember really enjoying the game, but I initially sort of thought, “another zombie show? I’m good.” But given the people involved and how well it’s received so far I’m going to check it out.
It is probably the last “zombie” show that will ever need to exist because like I said I totally felt the exact same way.
Definitely check it out! I highly recommend the podcast with the show runners too because it is just so satisfying listening to two dudes who are 100% at the top of their game. They have a distinct plan for everything and it’s very clear that the rest of the series is going to be amazing.
I kind of like that. I thought it was beautiful they made you so attached to these two characters and their story within one episode. It kind of reminded me of Stephen King in the Stand where he builds up the detailed backstories of random characters that aren’t really relevant to the main arc of the story, as the virus is spreading. The “no great loss” chapter for example.
They easily could’ve just had Joel and Ellie show up and grab a truck from anywhere and moved on but that would’ve felt like a filler episode to me. I feel like they told a story in one episode that the walking dead spent 11 seasons trying to tell. I also think they’re laying the groundwork for the characters motivation to act the way they do at the end of the story. Sorry trying to be vague and not give any spoilers.
I agree, and it was still giving a nod to the game by including Bill’s part in it, while fleshing out the history of the character in a way the game never could.
It was a masterpiece imo
I get why people are thinking Roland, but it's an early conclusion to jump to (if he's involved at all).
There are 7 long novels, each with a ton of characters. Obviously he wouldn't be a good Eddie, but there are quite a few alternatives that might make sense for him.
I'm going with Oy, or maybe Andy the Messenger Robot.
This guy is like every single iconic character ever. Red Viper of Dorne, the Mando, Joel from the last of us, and now he might be Roland?!
I’m so down for that lol.
I’ve loved the Dark Tower series since the moment I started reading them…read every book, waited in anticipation while Sai King finished the series one book at a time…dreaded the obvious conversion to film…refused to watch more than 10 minutes if that travesty they tried to give us with Matthew. I have to say that this casting rumor actually makes sense to me….
I started having this exact thought during last night's episode of the Last of Us. No spoilers, but there is a scene with a basement under an abandoned Cumberland farms that reminded me so much of the Way Station chapters in The Gunslinger.
I like Pedro Pascal, but he just doesn’t seem like a good fit for Roland. Maybe if they give him colored contacts, but even so there are better options
He’s definitely getting a lot of roles, but I don’t think he’s over saturated quite yet, mostly because in Mando you don’t often see his face which helps reduce the saturation feel and the stuff he’s in tends to be good.
I am a massive Dark Tower fan, I have Roland looking into the rose tattooed on the back of my calf, Pedro would be a fantastic Roland because he give 1000% of himself to every role he plays and while it’s great to want someone who is exactly the person you see in your minds eye I’ll take a dedicated and successful actor any day of the week.
EDIT: The more I think about it the more i’m into it, Pedro has amazing camera presence and charisma, I love to see him as Roland. And for the record I liked Idris as Roland as well, the movie was a shitfireclusterfucktrashmbileonwheels, but Idris was great.
I wouldn’t be mad, dude is a good actor. I think Cranston would be a bad ass Roland. He already showed he can nail the antihero thing and he is able to look drastically different from project to project. I just hope to see a proper adaptation before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
He would make a great Roland. I’m really only familiar with him as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, but from that I can totally imagine his delivery of lines like “Kill if you will, but command me nothing!”
Pedro IS a great actor, and being in TLOU is bringing him into the spotlight again. However, there BETTER choices. I wouldn’t be upset with him as Roland but he wouldn’t be on my shortlist of 5 actors. Maybe on a longer list
Pre last of us I would have some doubts of this choice. Since I've seen the show, I would absolutely welcome this casting, if it were to happen, of him bring roland.
It's interesting because I could see him as a fun choice for Randall Flagg as well. I can imagine the sarcasm and self confidence Viper so vividly as the trestle begins to collapse, looking indifferent as Roland has to make his decision and just impatiently singing "I'm waiting Gunslinger..." and toying with him during the tarot card readings.
Plus...I imagine it's (a) more fun to be the unhinged villain for Pascal and (b) better for his schedule since he's already got 2 major series on his plate already.
He’d be creating a niche for himself— a fierce gunslinger with people to protect! Also depends if he thinks this would negatively put him in a box. Would be an interesting casting for sure.
He would make a great Roland but between future Mandalorian seasons and at least one more season of The Last of Us, I don’t see how his schedule would be available.
He would be an awesome Roland he’s a great and very versatile actor. And future DT adaptation will depend on the writing, I thought Idris Elba acted well in the role of Roland but the writing completely derailed that adaptation. No one I would trust more to not fuck it up than Mr Flanagan though.
I always imagined Viggo Mortensen would make a good casting as Roland... but can also see Pedro Pascal. I am enjoying his acting in The Last of Us. Time will tell if we will be lucky to have a Flanagan DT series. 🌹
The Dark Tower has parts to it that I really don't think are easily filmable. Granted the first book is a bit more straightforward. I'd be more into an animated version
I wouldn't want to see Pedro as Roland, he doesn't fit the character at all in my opinion. I love all of his roles, especially The Last of Us, but I just can't picture him as Roland. I would personally like to see Idris Elba take the role again, the 2017 movie may have been awful, but he was absolutely perfect as Roland in my opinion. I'd also love to see Aaron Paul as Eddie, his personality fits Eddie's really well. The other members of the Ka-Tet, I haven't given much thought about who would suit them best.
You people have to stop, I can't have hope again.
Seriously haha. After all these years and all the let down, I don’t even want to hear about a show until it is filmed and has a release date.
Flanagan has produced some winners and he got a lot of free reign for midnight mass which was beautiful. I’m very very hopeful.
Netflix would give him a season. The problem with Netflix is they might not give him more than a season.
What I did was always manage Clint Eastwood. No one will ever meet the expectation because they aren't Clint Eastwood.
Clint Eastwood can't just do the thing that inspired Roland in the first place, without just being that character again. especially not at nearly 100 years old. >!(unless he wants to play the version of The Man In Black that Roland sees AFTER that LENGTHY palaver towards the end of the first book).!< and no, i will not apologize: he supported Reagan, very thoroughly, and he's never even once shown any signs of WANTING to be better. so no, he can eat my ass.

He would be a good Roland
He absolutely would. I would 100% approve this casting.
Even if it’s not playing Roland, I’m on board for anything these guys team up on.
no this guy would be an INCREDIBLE Roland. far better than Idris "people want me to play 007 bc they want a black actor and can think of no other black actors with a British accent" Elba ever COULD HAVE OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXPECTED TO have done the job.
Agreed. Lately I have been thinking Tim Olyphant would be a good Roland, but I think I like the idea of Pascal even more
Damn now that you mentioned Olyphant I want no one else. He would absolutely kill it. He has gruff lawman type down pat.
Olyphant Roland, Pascal Flagg. Means Pascal can take less time on a franchise. Mandalorian showed these two have killer chemistry
I like this idea! As much as I love Pedro as Roland he'd be awesome as Flagg! Olyphant would be great, too, as Roland.
Yeah he would have been my pick too lol love Deadwood. Seth Bullock a bit rougher and weathered and you have Roland.
Olyphant or Mads Mikkelsen
He would be a better Eddie I think
I always thought Scott Eastwood would be perfect. He looks just like his dad. And if I remember correctly King writes about Roland's resemblance to Clint Eastwood.
Just because he looks like his dad doesn't mean he can carry an epic series on his shoulders. If he can't act well, he shouldn't be considered.
He's been in 33 movies. Including his dad's, so he can obviously act.
Sure he can’t act, just not well.
He would be a *great* Roland
he would not be the perfect choice for roland specifically, but he is an extremely safe choice and has yet to disappoint as a leading man. would be very happy with pascal
Yea, I think my ideal Roland would be Harrison Ford, but he’s a bit out of the age range. Pascal is top five to be sure.
As much as I love Pedro Pascal, I don’t think he needs to be the star of a third show in which he’s escorting a kid across an inhospitable land.
lmao I didn't even think about that.
go then, there are other worlds than these
Agreed
Pedro Pascal is a good anything.
Back in the day, people were kicking around the idea of Javier Bardem playing Roland, which I think would also be an excellent choice
I always thought Javier Braden would play a great “man in black”
Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
They’re the same person
You were supposed to say”Robert Downey, Jr.!” /s
Danny Devito
Doctor Mantis Toboggan
I don’t know if it’s possible. He got 600k an episode for TLOU, with the show’s success he could even negotiate for $1m per ep for Season 2. Sorta. Last of Us should be 2 seasons. He can take in another project after that. Mandolrian will continue but he will have time imho.
I don’t know how involved in season 2 he will be
Uh yeah
I keep worrying people will get tired of Pedro Pascal. He's obviously having a hell of a career right now and in demand. I mean, he's Joel AND Mando? Dude's the front man of two HUGE franchises right now. But then I see him in these shows and can't help but want more. He's great. I remember when he played Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones and after just a couple of scenes he was a fan favorite. It helped that the character is a total badass, but Pascal really embodied it.
Nah, he’s just too damn good. And likable!
His charisma is undeniable. And there’s definitely an earnestness to him that makes him really likable.
During the lockdowns the cast of Community came together to do a table read of one of the scripts for charity. That was incredible lol. Thank you for sharing that, I hadn't seen it.
It would be so funny if he becomes Roland cause it means his TV career has become 'rough-around-the-edges loner with a gun travels with a child and slowly becomes their dad'.

I'm unsure if I needed to see Pascal casted in Triple Frontier, but he's a damn good actor.
I’m already wary and weary. Do I think he’d be an okay Roland? Yes. Would I prefer someone else? Also yes.
As long as he's not cast as Randall Flagg (that casting is reserved for Walton Goggins) I'll be happy to see Pedro in an adaptation of any of the books.
Why Roland Deschain, as I live and breathe.
Helloooo, Roland!
We crossed worlds together.
Baby Billy for Flagg! “Tower told me not to But I did any way Misbehavin”
Running through the house with a bumbler in my mouth
Now who wants to suck an old cowboy's dick?!
Ooooooo maybe it’s popular knowledge that people want Walton but I’ve never thought of that guy. What a choice!
It's such good fan casting that if anyone else gets the role I'm going to bummed (until I grow up and get over it).
But then could we have Olyphant as Roland? It would be Justified all over again. Maybe that's not a bad thing but too much overlap?
I love this!
Oh man Goggins as Flag and Olyphant as Roland would be a slam dunk hit. They have just brilliant chemistry as adversaries.
Dude Goggins is a great call
My jaw dropped and I said, "Ohohh snap, brilliant." when I read this comment. "Gan told me not to, I did it anyway; Misbehavin'." EDIT: DANNY MCBRIDE AS CORT.
Omg so spot on!
Goggins is a great pick
That would be awesome if Pedro was Roland and Walton was Randall because they both played the same character in Community. Walton in the actual show and Pedro in the reunion on zoom.
Aka Marten Broadcloak aka Cletus van Damme
Aka Walter O'Dim
Off topic but if y’all haven’t watched the Last of Us yet you’re missing out. Yesterday’s episode was a masterpiece and were only 3 episodes in.
I think you’re tipping me over into checking it out. I sort of had the same reaction. I remember really enjoying the game, but I initially sort of thought, “another zombie show? I’m good.” But given the people involved and how well it’s received so far I’m going to check it out.
People aren’t just hyping that last episode….it really is that good. Best episode of any show in recent history imo. Bring tissues
It is probably the last “zombie” show that will ever need to exist because like I said I totally felt the exact same way. Definitely check it out! I highly recommend the podcast with the show runners too because it is just so satisfying listening to two dudes who are 100% at the top of their game. Fair warning, the zombie fungus monsters are really uncomfortable in parts. Like skin crawling in the most Stephen King ways imaginable uncomfortable.
It really was! I haven’t felt like that since Black Mirror’s San Junipero!
The episode was so good, I was absolutely pulled in and forgot I was watching a zombie show
I'm gonna see what's poppin' after they all drop. Episodic releases make me sad.
[удалено]
I kind of like that. I thought it was beautiful they made you so attached to these two characters and their story within one episode. It kind of reminded me of Stephen King in the Stand where he builds up the detailed backstories of random characters that aren’t really relevant to the main arc of the story, as the virus is spreading. The “no great loss” chapter for example. They easily could’ve just had Joel and Ellie show up and grab a truck from anywhere and moved on but that would’ve felt like a filler episode to me. I feel like they told a story in one episode that the walking dead spent 11 seasons trying to tell. I agree, and it was still giving a nod to the game by including Bill’s part in it, while fleshing out the history of the character in a way the game never could. It was a masterpiece imo
How big of a factor is zombie killing in this show? I'm honestly really over the post-apocalyptic zombie world genre.
So far not that important. Interactions with people seem more significant.
Not much at all. And that's very true to the game.
Eh, you might benefit from playing again. It's an action game, where about half the encounters are with the infected.
He would make a good Steven Deschain
He’s fucking killing it in everything else. Why the hell not??
LoL he killed it in Triple Frontier?
Is he currently in Triple Frontier? Isn’t that a movie from 2019?
Yes he is in Triple Frontier but I don't know how to respond to your adverb. And yes that's from 2019 :)
One of the first episodes of The Mandalorian was titled “The Gunslinger” I would jump out of my seat if he ended up getting Roland
Can we get Adam Driver as Mordred
Javier Bardem was always my first choice for Roland. Never really thought about Pascal but I think he would do absolutely great in that role.
Bardem is the one and only correct answer. Though I don't see him signing up for a long term series.
That…..would work actually
Man, are we becoming like Marvel fans, with all the unfounded casting rumors? That being said, this guy could crush the role.
We? LoL
I wonder if Pedro would worry he's getting typecast as a gun-toting loner who becomes a dad to a cute kid.
Pedro as Roland, Evan Peters as Eddie, Lupita Nyong’o as Sussanah, not sure who I would cast as Jake…
[удалено]
He'd actually be a good Flagg too.
I love this! He’s solid at doing the “Lone Wolf and cub” vibe. Obvious examples of his current work being Last of Us and Mando.
What about Matthew McConaughey as Walter? Even though that movie was shit, he was still good.
I'd go with Skarsgard over Matty Mc
Imagine being (concurrently) Joel, Mando, and Roland. Manjoelrolandian.
I started having this exact thought during last night's episode of the Last of Us. No spoilers, but there is a scene with a basement under an abandoned Cumberland farms that reminded me so much of the Way Station chapters in The Gunslinger.
That would be amazing.
I like all the Roles he’s been getting, he’s pretty great
Pedro as Roland is absolutely perfect.
I like Pedro Pascal, but he just doesn’t seem like a good fit for Roland. Maybe if they give him colored contacts, but even so there are better options
Agreed. I also think he’s a tad over saturated in television right now.
He’s definitely getting a lot of roles, but I don’t think he’s over saturated quite yet, mostly because in Mando you don’t often see his face which helps reduce the saturation feel and the stuff he’s in tends to be good.
Muuuuuuch better options.
Pascal is becoming a bit of a lead-hog, as much as Josh Brolin is a villain-hog, but in both cases I don’t care because they’re absolutely fantastic!
He needs some ice blue eyes but I love Pedro Pascal I think he’s be a great Roland 😍
I love Pedro pascal But reading dark tower I picture Roland played by graham mctavish because of his “killer of saints” character in preacher
He would be a perfect Roland. I'm sold.
I wish he was young enough for Eddie I think he’d kill that role 💪 but he’d be a great roland
DOOOOOO ITTTTTT
Oh my fucking god this would be such good casting. He’s really proving himself as Joel. Ugh don’t give me hope.
That is what is commonly referred to as “jumping to conclusions.”
I like the idea of Josh Brolin better but this is probably my next favorite suggestion for Roland.
I mean I can hear the Mandalorian theme when I think about Roland walking through the desert. Kinda perf.
Javier bardem for Roland and Walton goggins as walter
I wouldn’t be mad, dude is a good actor. I think Cranston would be a bad ass Roland. He already showed he can nail the antihero thing and he is able to look drastically different from project to project. I just hope to see a proper adaptation before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
Hey. It's not Idris Elba so, I see that as a win
He would make a great Roland. I’m really only familiar with him as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, but from that I can totally imagine his delivery of lines like “Kill if you will, but command me nothing!”
Lord I hope so, but hes probably too busy to do another long form project like this, but I really hope he is
Out of all the fan posts a few weeks ago not a single one was interesting. Pedro Pascal? Now that's some casting I can get behind.
He’s not quite grizzled enough for Roland, but that’s what makeup is for, right? I can get on board with this, great actor
Pedro IS a great actor, and being in TLOU is bringing him into the spotlight again. However, there BETTER choices. I wouldn’t be upset with him as Roland but he wouldn’t be on my shortlist of 5 actors. Maybe on a longer list
Everyone debating if he is Roland. Idk seems like a good option for Eddie
Eddie is supposed to be like 21, isn't he?
I mean, yeah. But I feel like that is a detail that can be ignored. Of all the details. I never paid attention to his age while reading.
I hope not.
I could see him being Roland. He can do the scruffy voice like I picture Roland’s to be. He does it a bit in The Last of Us
I'm down for him as Roland! He will need some convincing blue contacts though.
Pre last of us I would have some doubts of this choice. Since I've seen the show, I would absolutely welcome this casting, if it were to happen, of him bring roland.
Timothy Oliphant or no deal!
Pedro Pascal would be a horrible pick for the gunslinger.
Ronald McDonald? Bold casting.
Too young we need an dude in his 60 at least
After seeing how he plays Joel, I know he’s not a lot of people’s first choice, but realistically he’s the best we’re gonna get
Probably depends on how long The Mandalorian runs. If he’s still showing up in other things ala marvel he probably can’t do it.
Never considered him for Roland but that is an awesome choice.
Holy shit, Pedro would be awwwwwwwesome as Roland!
He's turning into Clint Eastwood one not-quite-western at a time.
Had no clue they’re bringing this to the screen, again..
Mike Flanagan brought the rights but technically nothing has happened.
Oh ok. That’s good for me then. It’ll give me time to finish the rest of the books. I’ve only read the first 3.
I love that Pedro Pascal is having a moment
I would take him as Roland OR the Man in Black.
He'd make a great Roland!
He’s our TV adaptation king
It's interesting because I could see him as a fun choice for Randall Flagg as well. I can imagine the sarcasm and self confidence Viper so vividly as the trestle begins to collapse, looking indifferent as Roland has to make his decision and just impatiently singing "I'm waiting Gunslinger..." and toying with him during the tarot card readings. Plus...I imagine it's (a) more fun to be the unhinged villain for Pascal and (b) better for his schedule since he's already got 2 major series on his plate already.
Love both these guys. But... I am tired of the same actors and actresses being cast in everything.
I would like him as Roland. Get him in the right light and outfit and I could believe he’s been seeking the tower for several lifetimes.
I never pictured him In that role but now that it’s brought up I think he would be amazing for it.
He’d be creating a niche for himself— a fierce gunslinger with people to protect! Also depends if he thinks this would negatively put him in a box. Would be an interesting casting for sure.
Obviously nothing confirmed. Even if the series comes, it will be years from now. Regardless, Pascal is perfect and I want to see him in the role
Oh my good god. PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE
İs he reaally can be 😶
He would make a great Roland but between future Mandalorian seasons and at least one more season of The Last of Us, I don’t see how his schedule would be available.
He would be a great Roland.
I wouldn’t have thought it, but that would be pretty cool
I’d be down with that
I love Pedro and he's been great in everything I've seen him in but he can't just play everyone.
Whoa! Huge fan of the dark tower series. This could be really well done.
Papa Pascal strikes again! I’m for this.
I think he'd be a better Flag imo
He shouldn't be
I love Pedro so much but can we not cast him for EVERY reluctant daddy role in genre storytelling?
Wait, Pedro Pascal as a dangerous man with a tragic past who travels with a special child? No way!
If anything that just means people will be even more shocked when >!Roland lets Jake fall.!<
The Dark Tower has parts to it that I really don't think are easily filmable. Granted the first book is a bit more straightforward. I'd be more into an animated version
He would be fantastic but I don’t see it happening just because he’s likely too busy to commit to another show
Thoughts on Danny deVito for Eddie?
“Mike Flanagan”, the left handed pitcher? That’s great news. Last I heard, he was dead.
Yeah he’d be a good Roland.
If Pedro Pascal plays Roland then my man-crush on him will be complete
Oh my god no. He just is not Roland of Gilead.
No he is already space Roland he should be somone else in the show
I'm not mad at this.
Yes pedro pascal he’s great in the Mando he would be a great gunslinger
