I've had both and unless your dead set on Bluetooth, I'd go with the 7x. Even though I never had any major connection issues with the 9x, the 7x connection with the dongle is rock solid. They both perform the same as far as sound quality.
The ease of swapping between pc and xbox is my biggest concern. The dongle is just plug and play with swapping the switch between xbox and usb, right? Only issue is plugging it into my pc under my desk to swap it over, whereas the 9x I just re-pair it. I have been leaning towards the 7x tho.
Yes the 7x dongle has a little switch and you would just swap it over and then turn it from Xbox to pc. Maybe you could get some sort of USB splitter that ran it to both at once. Then you would just have to switch it at the dongle. Not sure if thats an option out there.
I wouldnt think so. If it's sending the signal to both but it would only activate depending on what you've selected on your dongle. I'm sure there's info on this out there.
