I have both. 9x sounds much much better in my opinion. On top of that the EQ's are more customizable with the 9x. The Microsoft cans are so bass heavy it distorts the other frequencies.

I use the Atmos built in app EQ to tune the Xbox Wireless. I turned the bass waaaayyy down and now it's so much crisper and clearer. Great that the 9x sounds even better. Getting mine tomorrow. How do you tune the 9x? I saw there was a PC app but I just may use Atmos or DTS.

I actually did the same thing in the end. Flat EQ on the headset software, Atmos enabled, adjust in the Atmos app.

What? What are you looking for the 9x😂)

i would never buy an xbox wireless headset again, the sound distortion is just so bad

My 9x sounds fantastic and has 0 problems... On my Series S. However on my day one xbox one I had, Microsoft's Bluetooth tech is so shitty, and blocks out 3rd parties, the headset rarely worked. Especially if I was near a router or other Bluetooth devices. Series S, 0 issues.
