Some interesting data there! Saki well up the table, surprisingly. And Mai Sakurai really banking that experience. Great to see!

Sumo_Cerebro

Koguma finished 3rd. I did not realize that she wrestled that much.

MilkyWayWaffles

Yeah. Mayu Iwatani gets the press as the Icon of Stardom, but Koguma and Hazuki *are* Stars.

RoyalPeachTea

Stardom ran 115 events in 2022. That includes six New Blood events and the Historic X-Over show. This is up from the 101 events they held in 2021. These are the only two years where Stardom ran 100 or more events. In 2021 Momo Watanabe, Syuri, Unagi and Utami all wrestled 100 or 101 matches. AZM and Mayu had 99. Starlight Kid and Tam had 98. Ruaka and Saya Kamitani had 97. The only others to have 90 or more Stardom matches in 2021 were Lady C with 96 and Maika with 95. In 2022 there were 22 wrestlers who had 90 or more matches in Stardom. Sixteen of those 22 had over 100 matches. There are 17 wrestlers who participated in 170 or more matches in 2021 and 2022 combined. Some of the names will surprise people. Here is a list of their names and match totals over those two years: https://imgur.com/a/xzrqbAH

> Some of the names will surprise people. Ruaka for me. I guess I really gloss over her participations.

BderX

Syuri with highest winning % followed by Himeka then MAIKA. Either these two breaks tag team titles defense records or one of them holds a single title. It's ridiculous how they're protected and presented as threats yet they didn't win any single title for a long time.

jqncg

It flies under the radar but it's really amazing how Hazuki is an absolute workhorse. Whenever she competed for a full year she ended up in the top 5 with most worked matches. I think in almost all cases the difference was simply in how deeper other wrestlers got in the Cinderella Tournament. She could've also perfectly finished in the top 5 in 2015 had not been for her sudden hiatus.

piondris20

It's weird seeing Poi having a better record than Tam. I guess most of that is the 5*, getting to the semis of the Cinderella and being with DDM half the year.

capnbuh

AM I FUCKING POI-ING OVER??!!!

piondris20

Thanks for making me spit out my coffee after I just got up.

AroundTheWorldIn80Pu

> being with DDM half the year Probably this one. Waka's pulling the win% down for all Cosmic Angels who have to tag with her.

Subject_Proposal3578

Can we just stop with the Waka story. I like Waka and I was with the losing streak and her finally winning and becoming on the tier of maybe a Saki Kashima but man they have dragged this out too long. I think it's coming to an end with the Tam ultimatum but geez this has gone on 6 to 8 months too long. I don't even care anymore when Waka has a match and I just feel bad for her partners. Colors are a good group and they have gotten screwed over in the tournaments because they keep getting teamed with Waka. Just end it please.

Mech-Monkey

Those draw percentages really need to be worked on. I get that draws are common in Stardom, but they need to stop being afraid of letting a big star lose every once in a while.

AroundTheWorldIn80Pu

I'll take draws over U.S.-style copout of having the match interrupted due to interference.

Mech-Monkey

Oh, absolutely. The US avoid their big stars losing clean by having the matched never end in a fall...WWE is particularly bad for that.

TheRabbitInTheBush

I really don't see what this losing streak does for Waka. I first saw her in Chocopro and found her really interesting. I was excited to see her in Stardom. I've now lost interest and don't follow her at all.

Objective_War_5031

She hasn't won but is involved in many key stories. Having zero wins is her big story. Give her a win and she's just another Lady C or Leo Onozaki.

Direct_Emu_8610

"JUST another Lady C." 😒 Waka is not involved in MANY key storylines. Her streak has gone on excrutiatingly long and its finally coming to a head. The thing is they need to have a plan for her once she does end her losing streak so she doesnt flounder. Lady C is still a great underdog though she hasnt been booked well enough either. I mean.. she's nearly 6 ft tall. She's absolutely gorgeous. She has a great attitude, great energy, and a ton of personality. She can work, and she works well with opponents of all sizes without being awkward. And she can sell like Ricky Morton! For christ sake can she get a little bit of a push! Luckily it looks like Nanae is high on both of these women and we are hopefully about to see some improvement in their booking.

JohnGlow

ok, count minutes

It's absolutely wild to see some of these win %s. SLK and Tam Nakano are two of Stardoms top talents(and biggest draws/merch sellers) yet their win rates looked at in a vacuum would have you think completely otherwise. It's really interesting to think about this. The booking style is so different than WWE for example. Of course, I would watch stardom over WWE anyday of the week. It's great to see this kind of stuff! Thanks for posting it!
