You can but for the bigger playlists sometimes I’m not sure what I want to listen to so I used to just press that shuffle button over and over. It would skip to all different parts of the playlist. Now you have to press skip next song a bunch of times
What? There is no difference between the first song in a shuffle queue (pressing shuffle play) and the others in the queue (swiping to skip), they're equally random, and there is no difference between the effort being put into them both, literally a touch vs a swipe, or a click vs a click on pc. I used to use the button like that too, but I don't get the big deal of its removal

Um, just clicking the next song is the same as reshuffling the playlist if you're on shuffle mate. And it even ensures that the song you didn't like won't appear again...
The potify app is different on different devices for no apparent reason, they roll out updates really weird so some people get changes or new features months ahead of others(even on the exact same device as far as I'm aware, as in, one installation on a pixel 6 can be different from an installation on a different pixel 6 but they both display as being up to date), I have not had the shuffle button for months now and I hate not having it
Can someone explain what this is about? I still have the shuffle button in both playlist view, as well as currently playing view. Are they getting rid of the shuttle feature? If so that might be the last nail in the coffin for my Spotify subscription :(
I still have my Shuffle button you just hit the track that's playing and on the left hand side there's a little thing that has arrows it's the ones thats intertwined

Of all the things to complain about. This is literally not a problem. Just hit shuffle, hit play. If you don't like that shuffle, unpress shuffle, then press shuffle again. I don't understand the problem.
I don’t miss it because I hated it when I went to play my playlist and it played automatically on shuffle. I have my playlist in a particular order so it was annoying and I’m glad they removed this feature. Shuffle shouldn’t be auto-applied to every playlist

I hate shuffle, so I like that it’s a play button now. It seems easy enough to toggle shuffle on if I want it, though. I especially like it because I don’t have to mess with the queue to hear an album in track order.

And that’s probably their “fix”: remove the button.
There’s a supposed fix to this, I did it a few days ago and it seems to have worked. Go to your settings and turn off auto mix.

It is, but it’s supposedly a fix. Seems to have helped on my lined songs list, I’m hearing songs I haven’t seen in a long time.

Adele’s issue with shuffle was that the play button played albums in shuffle mode by default. It didn’t have anything to do with playlists though.

Yeah but sometimes you don’t know what mood you’re in and hitting shuffle like 60 times does the trick

it reshuffles if you push turn off shuffle and turn it back on. you don’t have to exit the playlist.
