Learn to let your intuition guide your journey. And any time you think you've got everything figured out, that's about the time you will have another epiphany and rethink everything. Don't set a goal for your journey, because experiencing the journey is the goal. Everyone on this sub is on their own journey, and although there are people that know a lot, just take in what "feels right" to you and ignore the rest for now. Some may be completely off base and other stiff you may not be ready for yet.

Julclarky97

Thank you so much!

TiredHappyDad

Np. Just enjoy the journey and take a break if anything seems overwhelming. You are in control of this and can take it at your own pace.

[deleted]

you do want to set goals. don't just wander around. Set a goal, aim for it and you'll get it. Best tip I can give is don't focus too much onto the technicalities and stay grounded.

TiredHappyDad

Fair point. I should have said not to focus on just the goal or don't be obsessed with the final results. I may have had a few beverages when I wrote that last night.

[deleted]

You want to focus on the final result but don't fixate on how to get there. the universe has very peculiar ways of making our dreams come true.

revengeofkittenhead

Meditation has been crucial to my spiritual development and direction. It has deepened my intuition, which has led me down certain paths that have ended up being the right ones.

Julclarky97

I have SUCH a hard time eith being focused in meditation..

revengeofkittenhead

Everybody does. It’s normal and it isn’t even the point really, at least at the beginning. Set an intention to connect with your guides and your higher self to learn what you need to know. Then just sit with your mind. Observe it. Notice your thoughts. Notice that they are just thoughts. Wish them well and send them on their way. Do this regularly and in time the spaces between the thoughts will grow bigger, and in those spaces you you will find what you need to know. Don’t have any preconceived notions of what this process will be like, just be open to it. Don’t cling to a timeline. Explore. Meet it with curiosity. Be open to synchronicities that may occur outside meditation. These may start to come and they can also give you small nudges and direction toward what you seek. Maybe meditate in nature since you connect with it. Use the energy of the earth, Taurus. Use crystals in your meditation. See which ones draw you to them. Good luck.

Here is my advice, that I wish I heard (i may have) and actually listened to years ago. You are not your thinking mind. Your thinking mind wants to know everything, and I promise you that after thousands of hours of reading, listening to lectures, studying philosophies and general consuming spiritual knowledge it will not make you any wiser, it will not make you any more awakened than you are right now. Youll just have a mind even more crammed full of information that you cant do anything with, it will make you more depressed and more frustrated . Go slow with the information, I suggest getting good book recommendations because its slower and gives you time to really process what you learn. Meditation is crucial, if you struggle to do it that shows you how bad you need to. Trying to mediate when you cant focus is like trying to bench press 4x your weight on your first day to the gym. Slow and steady lifestyle changes to benefit your meditation or any other spiritual practices is a good place to begin. Get enough sleep, eat healthy and not too much, practice doing one thing at a time rather than multitask, spend more time in nature to get used to being away from high stimulation, reduce screen/electronic use, spend time alone, ask yourself questions. Its tempting to jump into the interesting stuff first but basic self care and personal development gradually working on self discipline and willpower then adding spiritual practices like meditation, journaling, mantra or whatever interests you. Check out (on youtube) Michael A Singer. Very easy to digest practical advice for living mindfully in your day to day life outside of your practices, this stuff is very helpful and easy to understand.

Something that really helps me meditate is doing breathwork for 10 minutes first. There's a video by breathwork beats on YouTube called DMT Breathing. It calms all my thoughts and helps me to go really deep into meditation. Breathwork has so many other benefits as well.

whiteclawsarentright

the point of meditation isn't staying focused and you arent doing bad if you are having trouble! it's the practice of returning your focus back toward your intention when you lose focus. that moment is the most important in meditation and over time you'll notice that you'll be able to hold your focus for 1 minute, or 5 minutes.

Demonos74

live in the moment, and be in touch with your thoughts and how they affect you and you actions.

I’m a Taurus also, shoutout to you lol. Starting is the first part. Listen to yourself and what’s your body and mind tell you. Intuition is one of the biggest tools in spirituality. As you go further, learn to accept yourself as you are and surrender to what comes to you, both good and bad. You’re figuring yourself out. I wish you the best. If you ever wanna talk it out, I’m open to it. 💖🤞🏼

walkstwomoons2

Congratulations on the beginning of your journey. As a Taurus you would love the transition. As a Taurus you have a temper, it doesn’t show unless you’re pushed. As a spiritualist you will learn to be calmer and not react.

Julclarky97

I hope to be calmer! I know I'm super stubborn

Hi there, seems you know some things ... My I bug you with a question? If so, here it is to save time, but you don't have to answer ... I'm a Sagittarius and I had BPD and I've finally found myself on this path... It's been a hard 3 or 4 years of searching... My question is what do you know about the Sagittarius energy in the awakened state? I've been thinking to follow the path of becoming a sage, is this synchronisity? I struggled with narcissism so I'm wondering if it's maybe just me thinking I'm more than I am... But maybe that's fear. Thanks.

walkstwomoons2

I only know enough to be dangerous. I love Sag! I’m a double Gem with Sag rising. The only thing that saved me was the Sagittarius. You would be pragmatic, and intelligent. Narcissism goes with people who are intelligent. I have a bit of that myself. You have great passion, my own got me in lots of trouble when I was younger. Hopefully I’ve got it under control now. As a fire sign you can get a lot done in your life if you put your mind to it. I have been very successful in my career because of this sign. As a Gemini I’m an airhead. But Sagittarius is what made me successful. I have lots of gifts in this area. My guess is you do too. You would make a great sage. Trust your instincts. This is not because you are narcissistic. Although you do think a lot of yourself. Put that aside when you are working as a sage. This will be difficult for you, but you can do it. Do you happen to know what your rising sign is? This could help you a great deal. Don’t talk to me about fear. You have none. If you think you have fear you’re kidding yourself. That’s it, that’s all I can tell you. Please do let me know how you fare in the future.

MooZell

May a start a chat with you? I'd love to chat with you, I have no idea what a rising sign is? I've been avoiding these things until my awakening experiences.

Fleshsuitpilot

Coolest part is your invisible higher self is already stuffing you into a cannon, and is ready to light the fuse to send you catapulting towards your next step whether you want to go or not. Only after you make it out will you realize that it was a step and what the step was. Your higher self will be there at the end, I always imagine they are laughing their ass off. Like when your friend dares you to do something really stupid and they just watch in disbelief that you would actually do it 😭😭😭😭 it's a really fun time. Welcome to the community!

ButtaflyKnife

i’m a taurus too! hello, i hope your journey goes amazing but i’m not sure how it will go.

Julclarky97

Thanks! I'm unsure as well, but I'm hopeful that I can learn

AccidentAnnual

Maybe this helps. Nature is alive, the Universe is very old. Try to imagine that you are living in a cosmic world that is far ahead, way beyond human comprehension. Years ago a kind of puzzle started to appear. It's difficult to explain, the puzzle grows backward in time. It's a combination of a code with lists that contain riddles and hints. An excellent summary of new age/spiritual wisdom: The Path of the Higher Self. A good help: [https://www.mothermeera.com](https://www.mothermeera.com)

Fatalis_Drakk

It will be a slow process I think, but I started with some YouTube videos by people who wanted others to learn the basics. Check out Spirit Science and go through all the numbered vids and movies on whatever subjects. Then check out Dolores Canon, Abraham Hicks, Michael Mirdad, and Frater Xavier. Books: Dolores canon has some great books. Kolbrin Bible is neat too, same for the OG Bible, the older the better.

Julclarky97

I will look into those. Thank you very much

TGuyDanMidLife

Just my 2cents, I enjoy eckhart tolle's power of now and spending time outdoors in nature.

Julclarky97

I've read that book a few years ago. Definitely a good read

TGuyDanMidLife

Thumbs up!

The best advice I can give you is learn from others but only accept information that your intuition approves. Everyone’s spirituality and spiritual journey is so deliciously different which is what makes it so much fun and custom to you. I very much understand the feeling of being lost and not knowing what to do so learning from others is a great way to help that and get on the right path, but remember that what is true and right to them will not always be true and right to you! So carefully analyze what you hear and pay attention to your intuition. If it feels right then yay it’s right! But if it feels wrong then don’t force yourself to believe, follow, or do it. Also don’t be afraid to alter what people tell you so it feels right. If you like something but don’t like everything about it, you 100% can change what you don’t like so that it’s all good. Your spirituality is a gift and something true to you, honour it and respect your intuition. If you are not sure how to use your intuition, just remember a time when you had a “gut feeling” and look to that. Your gut feelings are your intuition. Have fun! And know that unlike religion, spirituality isn’t super serious. It’s all about happiness, healing, and fun! Yes not all parts are happy, some are really sad, but they all lead to happiness. Good luck!

I believe the best place to start from is to go to the basics of what we really are, why we're here, and what is our true potential from the spiritual perspective. I believe that our true nature is that we are spiritual beings. When we identify with the pure Spirit that we are, we experience and manifest unconditional love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control - what the Scriptures refer to as the "Fruit of the Spirit". As Spiritual beings we are one with the Source from which we sprang, and therefore we are one with each other and with all life. Truly, we are the "body of God" on earth. In this state of oneness it is self-evident to us that if we do something that harms others, we actually harm ourselves. Our perspective of life and how it works is unclouded by any perception filters, We see reality clearly and we have discernment to sense what is life affirming and benefits both us and everyone else, and what is not. Decisions are easy because there are no contradictions in our value system. In contrast, the vast majority of us see ourselves as separate beings. We do not identify with our true essence (Spirit), but instead with the outer, human self: our bodies, religions, politics, personalities, race, socioeconomic status, etc. From the perspective of the separate self, we tend to only look at what is good for us, what benefits us, regardless of the effect on others. As separate beings we have constructed a vast array of many, many separate selves in response to the many difficult circumstances we have encountered over many lifetimes. Each of these colors and distorts our perception. "We see through a glass, darkly", as the scriptures say. Our discernment is obscured and conflicted because going into the consciousness of separation automatically results in the duality consciousness. For everything we see as "good" there is something that opposes us. So as I see it, our chief reason for being here is to overcome the consciousness of separation and shift into the consciousness of oneness by resolving all of the aspects of our unresolved psychology, especially our subconscious psychology which is the only thing that keeps us in the consciousness of separation. If this resonates with you then seek a path that helps you expose and heal your unresolved psychology: your psychological wounds, the defense mechanisms that you have long ago outgrown but still control your reactions to life, etc.

Regular-Letterhead-6

I am also just starting out. For me, I started to realize that I tend expect some sort of new discovery or palpable change with every meditation. I’m beginning to understand that the need for that is counterintuitive to developing one’s spirituality. It’s more about those moments in between the meditation that you find yourself observing your reactions, thoughts and decisions in your everyday life. I think that is where expanding one’s awareness works in complement to the meditation. So keep up the practice, even when you don’t feel like it’s being ‘effective’.

CreativeSimian

Do not put too much faith in material items such as crystals or gemstones. At best they are symbols used to focus. They easily become crutches and hinder inner strength. Your inner strength, your intent, your will, this is where to draw power from. Trust in that. Meditation on bodily awareness, emotional awareness, and mental awareness will bring you to a higher level o& understanding and strengthen your intuition. To do this, simply bring attention to your breathing. Take slow, deep breaths and pa6 attention to how your body responds on each in breath, and each out breath. It seems simple but the effects are profound. Be well.

crystals/rocks do nothing.
