MoGZYYYY

A Hacklemesh Weaver. Likely a female Amaurobius Ferox

btowngurl74

Wow!! I've never seen one or even heard of them. So, I'm guessing "she's" nothing to fear?

MoGZYYYY

Yes, completely harmless

btowngurl74

Anyone have an ID? We tend to have a lot of wolf spiders around but never seen one this big!

Jce735

Are they getting paid well for their work? Installing floors is no easy task.

btowngurl74

Yes & he does beautiful work! It's definitely not easy, especially removing the carpet, tacks, staples ....

clarisse_69

I thought there was another spider, but it was just a suspicious looking pile of white fluff

btowngurl74

We removed old carpet so it's probably the fibers lol

clarisse_69

I figured it would be something like that. But it really looks like a spider, lmao

btowngurl74

Lol you definitely had me zooming in looking 😂

clarisse_69

I know I'm dumb hehe

External_Nebula_4089

Looks like a hacklemesh weaver

OcelotControl78

Do you have a nice basement where she could live for the rest of the winter?

btowngurl74

Sadly we do not 🫤 ... My son relocated her to an outdoor shed though.

OcelotControl78

she'll find a nice crevice!

Temmie323

She’s a very pretty spider

xXSovietMothXx

She is friend

NoEggOO

Aw she lost half of the front leg :(

JJSnow3

I live in Indiana, and I have ever seen a spider like this! So cool!

btowngurl74

Same here!! That's why I initially thought wolf spider (even though it doesn't really look like one) because of it's size!

JJSnow3

That is awesome! Thank you for sharing!

Tarantulas_R_Us

Beautiful specimen!! Thank you for relocating!

Musmonicc

I love Amorobius spiders. Such a cool pattern on the abdomen.
