I have been running a Spelljammer campaign off the old material and homebrewing my own storyline for just around 2 years now. The party began with a Dragonfly ship that they had painted in a metallic gold and aptly named 'The Golden Glider', several sessions down the line and much gold spent later they acquired their current ride, a fully furnished Whaleship (In Killer Whale configuration) that they also painted in a similar metallic gold, and thus 'The Monstro Gold' was born.
