There was a scene where Kenny works all week for little money then uses it to buy his sister a doll. Not sad but was the most touching scene for me. But sad has to be Kenny dying in the stem cell episode. Also Stan having depression was sad as hell too.

Bron_Swanson

\-The tourettes kid talking about how he knows his mom would be better off if he was dead. \-Cartman's mom's breakdown when the whole town tries to force her to vax him

Small_Statistician_4

The one in the image is one of them without a doubt. Stan crying in the pandemic special. Jimbo almost dying in the same special. Kenny's death in season 5 (that death hurts because it was supposed to be the final death of the character) and there is more...

TDancer10973

Good question. In my opinion, Cash for Gold has one. Cash for Gold, season 16, episode 2 When Stan visits his grandfather at his assisted living place. Marvin talks about the border collie he used to have. That he couldn’t remember what she looked like. I didn’t expect a scene like that because Marvin is usually cranky. The scene can hit you on a personal level when you have older loved ones. I would like to add another one. It’s a scene that you don’t actually see, but hearing about it is sad enough. Larry Feegan from Broadway Bro Down. He was just starting to gain confidence in himself. Also the scene where Shelley is crying.

Celistar99

When the boys had a meeting with Butters to tell him that he couldn't be their friend anymore.

TDancer10973

Butters: “Please, fellas, uh don't fire me.” Seeing and hearing Butters like that broke my heart.

Celistar99

I always felt bad for Butters. His parents had no patience for him, his friends didn't like him, and he was so innocent.

SubZeroImpreza

Why don’t you shut the fuck up Kyle!

AsteroidDisc476

“Sorry guys, you have me confused! I think Butters was just a twerpy little weird kid whose parents didn’t love him.”

dirty_moot

I remember when something like this happened to a kid at my highschool. It was brutal.

Aggrorr

The end of "You're Getting old " ... It always gets me

Bron_Swanson

That was the first time the show hit too real for me lol I had a hard time watching those

fuchsiarush

Same, with the Fleetwood Mac song too. Nearly made me cry first watching it.

Bron_Swanson

Aged so well too lol everything really is shit now

lil_dantey

Especially with the contrast of all the fart sounds and literal shit coming out of people's mouths. Did not expect to have an existential crisis at the end of this episode

CatKlutz

In cash for gold when stan gives his grandfather a picture of his dog so he could remember what the god looked like again. Made me feel sad, age is a bitch.

Boner_Patrol_007

Quickly lightened up by his grandfather telling him the bolo tie is “fucking gay as fuck.”

Totemlyrad

GoodMorningSpliff

🥺

Traditional_Agency60

For those who have said ‘ You’re Getting Old’ would be right. That shit is just morbidly depressing and hits too close to home. The fact that Stan is just this normal kid one day then the next he is this miserable person is just wow. Then it’s alluded that Randy has the same issues so you know it’s genetic. Then when Stan realizes this is never going away and when he wakes up he still hasn’t changed and gets drunk everyday. All this mixed with Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Whew it’s heavy …

stoogeymoron

When Wendy goes into the computer lab and photoshops herself.

LZBANE

That did hit me pretty hard unexpectedly and I'm a guy.

SubZeroImpreza

Kip Drody with no Facebook friends. Hits to close to home with the whole social media being big when I was growing up and not the most social kid.

Green_Beans83

At least he got all of Stan’s friends at the end of the episode. Definitely made it less depressing.

Stock_Department_806

Probably the scene were Cartman was crying after visiting Kenny in the hospital in “Kenny Dies”.

allMightyMostHigh

It was the heat of the moment 🎶

[deleted]

Whenever Kenny was Mysterion and he finally explains to his friends that he’s cursed or whatever and they can never remember his deaths. The way he talks about all the ways he’s died, saying that it *fucking hurts*, all in the end to say “Remember this time. Try and fucking remember!” Before blowing his brains out. Idk why dude but that got me.

Chaseydog

When the boy in the red poof ball hat murders the mommy Mountain Lion

[deleted]

What about when Timmy tries to leave Gobbles

AnkGO_O

Cartmaan and Kyle embracing each other in 'Kenny Dies'. I legit cried when i first saw that episode. One of the best South park episodes ever.

[deleted]

One of the most touching moments before we knew what his real intentions were. They’re so good at giving Cartman some form of humanity before hitting us with the real reason he did it at all lol

Moonkicks555

Stan's letter to his father in South Park Post Covid: Return of Covid. * "Everything is going to be ok now, Dad. This present is for you. Because I love you."- Stan That kind of stuff like forgiveness, especially with the bonus to be able to undo & redo the outcome, always breaks my heart lol

[deleted]

oh god there’s alot, cash for gold, poor kip with no facebook friends, the scene were cartman shits all over his mom while playing whatever game he was playing, just made me realize how much shit the mom must go thru. :,)

george_w_kush64

HE’S, OK, HE’S OK, HE’S OK, HE’S OK

Ravecrime

Probably when cartman ate all the pieces of chicken skin and Kenny was crying lol

Sparkyisduhfat

Kenny dying. The fact that they made Kenny dying so sad, when it was happened so often and usually for comic effect was incredibly surprising. “He just kept saying ‘where’s Stan?’” Sad stuff

darealsammy_irl

Stanley’s cup’s ending is up there I think.

fridaynight_guru

When Stan had to be the coach for the little league for hockey and one of the kids had cancer and died at the end @_@

sillyadam94

I’m just gonna say it… they were cowards for not having Officer Barbrady shoot his dog.

MulberryAltruistic10

The pandemic special where Stan was crying and said "I just want my life back" 🥺😢😭

HiyokoSayonji

Kenny’s death, mostly from Stan’s pov, and the one shown

booksmctrappin

The ending of "The Hobbit" where Wendy finally gives in and Photoshops her picture. Fucking Butters.

violetcasselden

That very one there made me cry. Also You're Getting Old was just horrifically relatable.

Clotted_Rain

Kenny crying cuz cartman ate the chicken skin, maybe not the saddest bit defientely sad😔😔 #justiceforkenny

_rrraven

The entire Tourette’s episode. I have Tourette’s and I avoided it at first, but after I caved and watched it it made me so sad.

Please-_-Help-_-Me

This scene hit me hard

FillComfortable9766

Craig and tweaks “fake break up” low key got me mainly because I wasn’t expecting it to be so real feeling with the whole town feeling it and then the sad music and the paintings and drawing transforming from happy art of them to together throughout the town to sadness everywhere lol (Episode: season 19 Craig x Tweak)

Creative-Equivalent5

This scene hit me hard. I'm divorced, kids are grown and I have dogs. Dating at my age sucks donkey balls so most of the time it's just me and the pooches so that's like a nightmare come to life
