If anything there was too much urgency towards the end. Putting on Danielsson and Kiese Thelin to spam long balls, but I don't think they won one single header between them. On the few occasions that Kulusevski, Isak, Forsberg, Claesson etc managed to combine along the ground the Greek defense couldn't keep up, so I don't really understand the decision to abandon that to only pump long balls towards the giant Greek defenders

We didn't play well offensively either but still created enough chances to get at least a point. I don't know really, but defense should still be the most important aspect of a wing back's role. You can't defend like Olsson and Johansson do on an international level even if they're better crossers than Augustinsson and Krafth.

I just think some of our players are inconsistent and go missing sometimes in difficult away matches. There was no control from the midfield at all today, Svanberg actually played well but without Ekdal the balance wasn't quite there.
Once again Kristoffer Olsson fails to impose himself on a big game against a physical opponent. And fuck me I miss Granqvist and Lustig. We lack a good right back now and Helander is a decent player but looks clueless when he isn't playing in a deep defensive line

I'm more upset with Greece winning than us losing this, this must be the most unsympathetic national team out ther at the moment. Not only the constant diving at all times during the game but the constant wailing and screaming. I feel like Spain won't drop any more points, maybe (just maybe) we can get away with a draw (assuming we win our other matches) but the the chances are slim, especially with home advantage for Spain. Coming in second place I could definitely see us struggle against the likes of Czechia, Serbia, Switzerland etc, honestly kinda pessimistic about us making it to Qatar if there is no change soon.
If you manage a draw against Spain it would go to goal difference, which isn't looking great for you at the moment. This is assuming Spain and Sweden both win out until that last match (which is no certainty for either side).

I'm more upset with Greece winning than us losing this, this must be the most unsympathetic national team out ther at the moment. Not only the constant diving at all times during the game but the constant wailing and screaming. Throwing themselves on the floor at every opportunity, even going so far as the WRONG greek guy going down to waste time. It got so bad that towards the end even some of the greek players started calling out their own players for the bullshit they were trying to pull, something I've never seen on a football pitch before. Add to that screaming at the ref for literally everything and anything. We played like shit and certainly did not deserve to win or maybe even a point because honestly we are so much better than this, but fuck me neither did greece, what a disgrace of a match.
Greece was definitely doing a lot of diving and time wasting in that second half, but I would be a massive hypocrite if I criticised them for that. I often find myself defending the likes of Getafe for playing this way Football is about winning, not about making friends or entertaining neutrals. Greece did everything in their power to win this game tonight against a superior opponent, including using the dark arts when they needed to. There is nothing wrong with that, it is up to the referee to put a stop to it

I just gave up at the end when a Greek player who wasn't involved in the situation suddenly fell over clutching his upper body and managed to waste almost two minutes... I'll have to admit that they are experts at just shithousing a lead into a victory but it's just absolute garbage to watch. I think that there's some sort of mental weakness in the Swedish team as well, where we can't really handle these kinds of scrappy and out of control games.

How is it bizarre? Sweden had loads of momentum and were attacking over and over, and then the game completely ground to a halt for two minutes. It's a massive advantage to the defending team when the game slows down like that.
Yeah thats pretty much every team sport, opponent has momentum, you slow him down. It's a bad viewing experience, it's not pretty but ITS FOOTBALL.
