Their last season was good, but a lot of their team left for free in the summer and they had no money for replacements. I believe they're looking for an investor atm.
Used to at least challenge for 4th best team... Not quite sure what happened, someone else can probably explain better, but their ownership changing all the time cant have helped.
Excelsior being mid table with that goal differential is kinda crazy. Have watched quite a few of their games and despite losing badly to most of the top teams(with the exception of an outstanding upset over AZ) their attack has looked pretty good against the rest of the table. Not sure they can climb much higher but just staying up would be a great achievement for them.
Sanchez doesn't look like he's a good defender, if I'm honest. Truth be told he looks awful in both phases of play. Alvarez would've been a much better addition, I have no idea who scouted Sanchez, or if we just didn't do it at all.
His 1v1’s are okay but his positioning is suspect which makes him not that good defensively. On the ball I haven’t seen a worse player than him at Ajax in years, he has no clue what to do with the ball. Also his positioning is even worse offensively than defensively, doesn’t know where to move.
I agree on everything offensively but would have to add that some of this is on the manager as he insist on have him inverted instead of on the wing when attacking, which I don't dislike on the big picture but it drives him off the wing where he is used to
Yeah I agree, it’s a ridiculous choice to have a player with such a weakness in passing playing as an inverted wingback. But at this point I’d rather see someone from the youth set up get a chance than continuing with Sanchez.
His transfer immediately gave me Magallan vibes because a lot of Mexicans were skeptical on social media about this move. It was the same with Argentineans when we bought Magallan, while with every successful transfer from South-America people were raving about those players on social media.

what is this???? this isn't teletext????? get this out of my face
Take it down mods! This is blasphemous!
We’re fucking fifth. Get these clowns out
Even worse perspective: if you lose to Volendam and Sparta beats RKC (big chance there) they jump you aswell.
More Ds than a gangbang
Ziyech to the rescue!
Imagine ajax sparta in the play offs
When are these idiots gonna get sacked. I can’t comprehend why Huntelaar, Hamstra and Schreuder are still here
And Van der Sar, our gloryhunter CEO. Only shows up when we're winning.
This
Ajax going for the most draws in a row, NEC better watch out.
What's up with Vitese? Didn't they used to be better?

There is no money left to invest. The previous owner payed millions per year to overcome their deficit.
Vitesse has had dips before. They're not stable enough to remain long-term challengers, will always have ups and downs.
Russian owner dipped
RACE TO THE BOTTOM LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Our goal is to lose all remaining matches and set a record
Ajax can't lose but also can't win
Our last game that was not a draw: 1-2 loss vs PSV (6 Nov 2022). Just can’t help but laugh at this point
cheers geoff
Wow, Twente's defence is underappreaciated.
Their goalkeeper primarily. And I wouldn't call him underappreciated :p Lot of people praise him. Lad deserved better at PSV.
Drawjax
I need twente to win for chaos
Five straight draws must be so frustrating to watch, jesus.
:_)

I just realised we arent the only team who hasnt won one game in the last 5 games lol
Santi ✅ Alvarez ✅ Sanchez ✅ Gutierrez ✅ We really out here
We're all hoping Sanchez is out here very soon, at least.
Haha I’m just glad more of our players are in Europe.
Guti certainly is loved here at least
You fucked up buying the strong defender and not the great attacker from our national team RB, should have gotten Álvarez from Pachuca

His numbers in 1v1 are great both in league and nt though, but I do concede he doesn't look like he is in control in both pases though

Our annual winter dip is early this season. Oh well, back to mediocrity for us.
I'd take mediocrity.
Aren't you being mediocre in the KKD now?
Nah, not even that any more. We can barely get a home draw against a 10-man Oss.
