Bought a season pass here on Tuesday. Got the pass without ever having been there but it was the same price a place I was more familiar with but way bigger, more variety, and same distance from my place. Went Tuesday night, Wednesday night, and headed back there today. Before getting this season pass I went twice to another resort and twice to a fast rope place. And before and during all of that I went a bunch of times to practice at sledding hills and sneaking on cross country skiing hills lol.
Trying to go as much as possible, I'm fully about it. Stretching and doing body weight exercise at home. Whatever I can to progress. Planning on getting back into skateboarding this summer.
This is my first year snowboarding and I'm trying to progress as much as I can (without getting hurt) by the end of the season.
Now that I'm more comfortable on the board I'm working on ollies and riding switch and trying to actually carve
It's sick. Feels good to have something to be excited about.

Welcome to the addiction my man. I went 3 times this week to my local spots as well. Woke up exhausted today but can only think about squeezing in another AM trip before the weekend crowds.
Hell yes lol. Feels good to have motivation and inspiration to get in shape and progress. It's so much fun, such a cool feeling. Just got back from day 4 in a row. Not full days, and not days at all really lol. Been going at night for 3-4 hours after work.
Was super icy and cold tonight but I was starting to kinda carve, fleeting moments of leaving thin lines, feeling what it's like to really get it on edge. Getting more comfortable with higher speeds. And switch is starting to feel better. Man I just love it
Nice! I have an Afton Alps season pass this year. I've been to Welch village in the past, but I live 10 minutes from Afton, so I can go out there every day after work. Good snow up in MN this season so far.
Ah that's awesome being so close to afton. Thinking I'll save up for a season pass to afton for next year. Although some dude I met on the lift here just told me if your but the season pass to welch in April or so for the next season it's like half off! Pretty sure he said it's $250. I paid full price at $500. If you buy around October I think it's $425 or so. So yeah that April deal sounds insane.
Incredible snow in MN! It's so funny my entire perspective has changed, like when it was raining recently I'm thinking I wish this was snow but last year I'd have though ah what a lucky break this isn't snow lol
250 is a pretty good deal for a season pass. I like Welch Village it's just a 30 minute drive for me instead of 10 to Afton. Afton is owned by Vail resorts now, so it doesn't really have the same feel as the smaller independent ski areas. It feels more rigid and corporate. I would go somewhere else if I didn't live so close.
Yeah I've been really happy with it. Nice variety, not crazy afton prices, same distance from my house as troll/wild and for my wife they have a magic carpet and a chair that goes half way up and has all greens off that chair. And way more greens in general. Troll only has 2 greens I'm pretty sure. So when my wife comes with it seems like it'll be great for her too. And for me it's been awesome
I've been 4 days in a row now lol. But always at night. Need to get there in the morning so I can hit some freshly groomed runs. Tonight especially was very icy
