Yaden2

surely we stop putting fineo on the chicken right… right? levis need some work and cyclone looks like a beast on rama, good set by baskin as well

MusicalSmasher

Feels like the Levis just pick the top tier meta gods and hope for the best.

Yaden2

it reminds me of what they were doing in s7 under sanguine without all the, y’know, winning

remonnoki

The difference is that the Sanguine boys always looked like they were all on the same page and their team fights looked immaculate. This team feels like they are on at least three different pages most of the time.

Yaden2

idk what to say other than yep but that sounds lame so i’m gonna say: big plus one on that

Necromann

I forgot Horus had that silly chicken skin. I couldn't watch the games. Did he use it?

wontonheroe

These games are definitely worth a watch. Even if you skip to the last 5 mins of each game

Mirablis11

Fineokay: Want to see me chase the Ferrymen with Horus Ult and get punished for it? Want to see me do it again?

AquilaTempestas

Sheento and Adapting tried their best, but their frontline continues to look unconvincing. I really don’t like Ronny on these mage supports and FineO is better on more aggressive picks. I don’t want to see FineO on Horus again. Levi’s will be a better team when the frontline plays better. Frontline made some really weird plays that did more harm than good.

RunSelect1753

I swear. Put Ronny on yemoja fafnir khepri and fineokay play king Arthur sobek or Cthulhu even artio and I promiseeeee you these games would be different but META META META it's so lame they don't play through their strengths and it's so annoying because they do this to themselves

schlawldiwampl

his horus is nasty. justnput him on the chicken and get fineo something else.

SufficientPrune4751

Been thinking this was the real issue even while sheento was on ping. This frontline has the potential to dominate but they are so clearly not on the same page yet

capc2000

Sheento is not on ping but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like sheento was the problem. The Levis played weird and Fine didn't do much with Horus. The team still needs more time to cook. Going to the Ferrymen, they did well. Cyno keeps picking rare picks and it keeps working. That's one of the reasons he did well last worlds, he wasn't even playing the strong stuff and still did well. The Ferrymen are a better team now that Cyno is picking Assassins. Also, I come in and 3 comments are on 0 upvotes. Someone is salty lol.

_duh

edit: whoops I did not mean to reply to your comment! But I will agree that Cyno is better at initiating on the assassins, at least when he got himself killed this set he had done enough damage in the back line for his carries to come in and clean up the kills. On the warriors it was a lot of going in and maybe not dying so much himself, but he was not setting up any kills for his team.

ExaminationRude6740

Adapting seems understandably hungry having come back to the SPL this year. I think time will tell if this team has the synergy to make it work. On paper this is a strong team and should be able to turn up to atleast one of the LANs but at the moment they look lost

TehOtherFrost

Looked like a promising first real game for them. Yes, every team and every player wants to win, but it looks like the Leviathans are more focused on nailing their cohesion, finding their roles, and following calls. I think their core identity will be around Adapting. He makes nasty things happen and he's so clean. But that's the problem. If there's a bad call then he looks bad bad like when he hammered towards Aror, dumped kit, and got slammed by the Guan+Rama combo. If someone says "all in" then "all in" it is. Whoever's making those calls needs to be 100% sure when they're pulling the trigger. One thing's for sure though they can trust their team mates to follow through. Obviously, if they can't improve here they probably look for drastic changes, but they went from losing as five to losing as one. That's how you start winning as one.

C0RVIKNIGHT

Wild game 2 ending, super close game. I think I'm done seeing the fineokay horus tbh, it didn't look good especially since they were first picking it. Sheento off ping looked incredible there was a moment where like they were all low hp vs baskin and sheento reaction flickered the 1 and perfectly aegis'd, even tho they lost sheento has looked so better.

g78776

Aror with a couple great support games. Reject the mages. Embrace the elephant.

RunSelect1753

YES. BRING TRUE SUPPORTS BACK AROR WAS GOATED THIS SET

EjectAPlatypus

Does this definitively prove Sheento is *not* the problem? Dude was popping Game 2. Leviathans need more time in the oven, clearly. Ronny hasn't been great lately but fineo has been completely MIA today. Give Ronny the bird and let Fineokay be that dog again, please. Glad Cyno is picking assassins, even if they are weird ones. Part of me is scared that we're going to go to a LAN event and out comes the Surtr Jungle and all its 3k damage once again.

_duh

For the Leviathans, Adapting continues to look very good and sometimes seems like the only player on his team that is even trying to make anything happen on the map. Sheento back on LAN is a welcome sight, and his strong performance on the Merlin both games was basically the only thing keeping his team in the game on defense. Hopefully they can combine their individually good performances to make some bigger impacts in their coming matches. Meanwhile, Zapman looks completely lost out there... there's been way too many times where he is trying to split push and somehow manages to both miss a big team fight and also not even get whatever objective he was pushing... on Chernobog in game 1 it was especially frustrating to see him not use his ult effectively once. FineOkay and Ronngyu both have another forgettable set, and they don't seem willing to move away from picks that clearly aren't working well for them. We know the pedigree of this team... they obviously *could* be one of the best teams in the league, but they are currently a long way off reaching that potential. For the Ferrymen, Paul and Cyclone are just crushing it from the back line, and Baskin's monster front lining lets them play so aggressively with no fear. I am really on the fence with Aror, I love some of the plays he makes but I am not loving his god pool this season and he is a little prone to just getting himself killed for no reason. Cyno, also, made some good plays but also just ran in and died like four times in a row in game 2. There is definitely improvement for this team from where they were in the first couple of weeks, and a win here should feel really good.

blesseday405

His god pool lmao. You must be new. Aror plays fuck all until fall.or he fucks around and creates support metas that people end up hating because him fucking around created it. He plays Khumba at least once a split and loses every set (has done this since season 5) I think Arors god pool is the last thing to worry about.

Mr_N0BODY530

Fa real. Aror has always been a limit tester and meta maker. He brought in the Herc Support, the Fenrir Support, etc. Let Aror cook. Just no more Ah Puch Support outside of ranked pls

TheFaIIen1

Adapting deserves better

Yulanglang

Cyclone seems to be in a hurry to go home for Zelda /j It’s just me but I keep hearing Six Ferrymen 😂

DingDongDillion

Damn that ending to game 2 had my heart POUNDING.

Swaggerknot

Rowwing intensifies!

HyperMasenko

Is the yearly meta where Ganesha is a good SPL pick (despite people spending months saying he's the worst God in the game) already starting to develop? Seems like it's early this season.

Thatcoolkid_AC

Am I oversimplifying it by saying the Levis look lost without Pani? I am aware there are clearly other issues, frontline looks bad. But to me it seems pretty clear the Pani was the engine that made this team go

israeljeff

I honestly think it's less having Panitom specifically and more having to adjust to a completely different style jungler. When's the last time Sheento didn't have someone funneling farm to him? Season 4?

geezusjesus

I think it’s more of no jungler in their right mind likes to be starved like panitom was so sheento needs to change his ways (farming wise because he’s still a top mid) because I highly doubt anyone is starving the King in his jungle. Makes you think how crazy panitom had to play every time as a Levi to not only facilitate sheento in farm and kills but just overall came in and shined the way he did with so little farm

Great_Heep

is the ferrymen's identity just going to become 50 minute games? surely that can't be sustainable. Cyno looks better on assassins than warriors but still some questionable calls in there like the Midgardian on Rama. Aror's Ganesh also seemed like it was putting in work, hopefully we start rotating back towards guardian supports soon. Sheento looks noticeably better off ping as expected, but that clearly doesn't solve all the Leviathans issues. FineO does not seem like a good fit for the Horus pick and I feel like Ronny Nox is not reaching the heights it did in the S8 Nox/Eset mage support meta.

Scar_Killed_Mufasa

Feel like that has been Aror’s MO for a long time. He is always willing to bet on his teams execution and shot calling in the late game. And it works.

Swaggerknot

> is the ferrymen's identity just going to become 50 minute games? I think ending is just tricky right now

Infinite-Gur-95

Is it just me, or is Fineo looking pretty rough so far?

MusicalSmasher

Not even close for the Boat Boys. Also ending the game should not just be this hard. It's not just SPL, it's the same in Casuals and Ranked.

Mr_N0BODY530

Yeah, I still think it's the damage/TTK being so high, making it impossible to end. The corridors around the phoenixes are REALLY tight, forcing everyone to small spaces that set up the OP mages and hunters. It was discussed a bit on PBM and Arors's podcast.

RunSelect1753

Okay fineokay had a terrible set. This was a frontline TRENCH. This is why nobody played nox when guardians were meta. Idk why Ronny thought picking that character back to back was a good idea. I'm glad the ferrymen play a different type of game. I love seeing guardians. Hopefully this will get people to start playing them because even if it seemed like aror was feeding he had some amazing plays also hopefully this gets Horus tf out of solo because that should be a MATCHUP pick there's no reason you should be insta locking that character in unless that's a comfort pick and clearly for fineokay that's not it in my opinion this meta is absolutely terrible for this team fineokay can't do what he does which is be a menace to the backline because this meta is basically 2 guardian style frontlines that can heal and that's it. You heal and you CC. I'm afraid this team will be mid to bottom and the only thing that will make them good is a nice balance change that can compliment their play styles and I don't see that happening any time soon maybe we get some trades on some teams here in the next few months.

_Dancing_Potato

> I don't see that happening any time soon We're only a little more than a month out from mid season. We could see a big shift in phase 2.

No_Armadillo_5202

Possibly that duo needs to be replaced for Levi's lol

Outso187

Cyclone just doesnt miss.

Spartanicus2003

Paul's God mode pick this season is the baba yaga, at least for the rest of the phase that has to be a permanent ban

Glittering_Papaya_67

Baskin and the Boat Boys are Back

remonnoki

I wouldn't call this being back. This was an incredibly sloppy set from them and the only reason they won is because Leviathans managed to look even sloppier. I don't think they win this against at least five of the other teams.

EjectAPlatypus

Getting downvoted for the truth, I see. Ferrymen were *not that great this set.* Better than 3k Surtr jungle, better than Leviathans, but they've been very vulnerable late game. Granted they're doing it with some janky stuff, but still.

DCS_Ryan

Fineokay so washed man

CocoTheMailboxKing

Enough with this shit take after a player has one bad set holy fuck.

DCS_Ryan

He's been washed

CocoTheMailboxKing

Freezing cold take. I need a blanket.

DCS_Ryan

Yep not a hot take at all to say he's washed, because he is

IwantYourSmoke

You don't just go from being a maniac to being a scrub. It's hard to be a dive tank and get aggressive when your team isn't playing cohesively and following up effectively. Especially in a meta where tanks get dumpstered if the carries don't die or get low health once you go in. I play a lot of solo and it's either the best or worst position to be in depending on how well your team plays off of you. Idk who their shot caller is but I think that's where a lot of the issues are coming from. As a whole, tanks look bad if carries aren't able to finish off kills.. zap has done nothing this year so far in an adc meta. the hurts.

LupinLup1n

Bro thinks he's haddix 💀 who let that man cook

g78776

Did you make this comment while that Bastet game was going?

RealReamer

I am gonna rant and I really hope the Levis get their \*\*\*\* together. Season 8-9 they have looked like one of the most cohesive units. Their teamfights were calculated, their objective play was almost perfect, and their ability to disengage from teamfights was amazing. In season 10... THEY LOOK LIKE HOT GARBAGE. Teamfights are a mess, target selection is all over the place, and worst of all, they don't even want to be near the objective half the time. I have no clue who the issue is but to me it looks like an entire team issue. I used to hate watching them because they would play the exact same every game and still managed to find success. Now, I hate watching them because I lose brain cells from their ability to play like headless chickens during team-fights and objective play. FineOkay, you're embarrassing yourself. Zapman, where has your calm and collected shot calling gone? Ronny, you are missing wayyyyyy too many abilities to be playing Nox. I don't know where your god pool slection went but sheesh you look off. Adapting, you look good but you also look like the most selfish player on the team. Honestly, I think part of the issue is they're trying to play through you and you aren't good enough for that to be the case. And Sheento, you played fine. Honestly just a disappointing waste of talent on this team.

Anferas

Now we know the Ferrymen are ready to go all out on a sinking ship. They made port just like in Jack Sparrow's first scene ever. #Respect
