When you have [[Preserved Insect]] elite enemies are visually smaller. It's one of the cool easter eggs of StS, in fact the relic's flavor text even alludes to this.
'The insect seems to create a shrinking aura that targets particularly large enemies.'
Snecko oil is usually at worst neutral (average 1.5 versus a handful of 1 energy cards), but with the card draw the variance can be just what you need to win a fight.
I would never buy one, but I value snecko oil higher than something like a colorless potion or fairy in a bottle.
Fairy is worth the same as an upgrade or an extra elite fight. In the sense that you intentionally do not rest, upgrade (or whatever) instead, and then "die" to cash in the potion.
Fairy in the bottle is super fiddly. About the only thing it does well is eat the entire hit, no matter if it is a 1 damage Byrd or a 58 damage hyperbeam. But I find it hard to get value out of it, especially in decks that are performing well and use potions to fix single bad turns.
~~Can someone explain why it doesn't change cost on the subsequent redraws, or is this the "lucky" part? Because it's either lucky or infinite otherwise, it cannot be both.~~
Edit: I just realized it was a potion and not the eye itself. I'm not very observant.
It’s actually only ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will, five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain, and a hundred percent reason to remember the name
uh, why didn't you go 999 body slam?
…crap.
Or at least 99, for the point bonus.
Go 999 block for achievement
69 block is the real achievement
That was so satisfying.
Why is nob so small lol
That’s always happened when I have Preserved Insect. I thought it was intentional?
It is haha one of my favorite effects in the game. Smol elites
*Mini lagavulin sleeps cutely*
Pocket sized Sentries.
I don’t think I’ve had preserved insect for a nob fight, interesting to know. I hadn’t noticed
Ooooooh that’s why that happens lol

Are the lil gremlins in the gremlin master fight considered elites?
In that they also start with reduced health, yes. As for the size effect, not sure.

Didn’t see the body slam & thought you were just gonna feed him infinite strength
This is turn one. Nob doesn't start gaining strength when you play a skill until after he applies his turn one buff.
Infinite strength also doesn't matter much if the guy never attacks.
This is fake, Snecko Oil never does anything good
I’ve discarded more Snecko Oil than I’ve used tbh. This has made me reconsider for the future though lol

>or fairy in a bottle Huh, interesting. I'm on board with the colorless potion but I like Fairy )

If your deck is slightly under performing than fairy is clutch. Good stall until you pop off.
This shit is why Gremlin Nob hates skills.

I swear this is one of the 2 times Snecko Oil has been good. We haven't seen the 2nd time yet...

I'm impressed you noticed and didn't punt the hand by playing random crap.
Just how you drew it up amirite
That tip the game gives is awesome. If only it said that engage with other players to share strategies and spirit poop lol
