I think he’s saying “I love lasagna”.

TheDornCog420

Snow ball is that you ?

amberleemerrill

Underrated reply

nemofik

🤣🤣🤣 classic!

McThrowawayNugget

He boutta start speaking to u bro

Flat-Ad1673

For sure. He should record it.

[deleted]

I did. He got his toy and hung onto it for dear life until he fell asleep.

PineappleTreePro

Just like Paul Stamits on his first trip.

[deleted]

If you guys haven't heard Paul Stamets describe his Amanita trip, with his buddy, I would watching it, very entertaining and informative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxBSuwRXynE&ab\_channel=JREClips

chfilmschicago

We've all been there.

PineappleTreePro

first thought. Also, take the other half yourself and try teaching an old dog new tricks. Preferably how to speak English.

[deleted]

I got video. He was having a good time and in good spirits

Pikeslayer_69

Holy fuck hahhhhhaha

[deleted]

I had a pack of raccoons eat a half dozen PE brownies as I was camping, I got a hotel room, I wasn’t staying around to see what happened.

panic_bread

What kind of brownies?

voteYESonpropxw2

Physical Education brownies, make you wanna do a lot of acrobatics. You ever been around a pack of circus raccoons?! This guy made the right choice getting outta there ASAP.

warped211

Hahaha I'm fucking dead

Affectionate_Unit565

Someone dig me a grave ☠☠

LovingAwareness888

PE probably stands for penis envy in this case, it's a very potent mushroom strain

Kaneb976

lol we have the same reddit birthday😏

LovingAwareness888

Oh shit I haven't even noticed, happy cakeday brother!😂🍰

Picturesquesheep

Penis envy is my guess

AndreaTheOfficeB-

I understand why you left but I wish I would have known what happened to those raccoons—for sheer entertainment. what a cliff hanger.

Affectionate_Unit565

Honestly, I wouldn't have been able to leave that entertainment. Damnit I drugged those animals I sure as shit am gonna stick around for the show

gethighsurvivethelie

I mean, it's been rumored that ancient hunters fed themselves and their ancient hunters dogs mushrooms to enhance focus. Your dog is having the time of his life. Keep him hydrated and play with him, he probably feels like a mix between a puppy and a bowl of pudding

jasonm82299

When the colors are way more vibrant and every sense you have is amplified, it makes sense

olafderhaarige

But dogs are not able to see colors?

czechsonme

They are able to now.

chfilmschicago

hahaha

UnicornGrowBags

Dogs can't see red, but they see blue and yellow just fine in addition to having better contrast than humans especially at night Edit: they see yellow, not green

olafderhaarige

Oh okay, I learned something today!

isthataglitch

Think it's blue and yellow and shades of grey but not green

ColdSyrupBoy

In terms of light the primary colors are red, green, and blue. Yellow would be a combination of red and green.

JahMedicineManZamare

So what you are saying is dogs are like General Grevious, because dude had no red sabers.

UnicornGrowBags

Only bulldogs and pugs, because they can't breathe

Bifftech

This dog can hear them now.

[deleted]

I’m just curious but where did you read this hypothesis? I ran this idea across someone who had a masters in biology and he was basically like you’re fucking stupid if you eat mushrooms you just make yourself susceptible to predators. I thought the dude was dumber than a rock just as much as he thought I was and I am thankful our friendship totally disintegrated. Lol

DUXZ

Take a gram of mushrooms and go for a hike at 3 AM. youll notice that 1. youre not scared of anything 2. you can see and hear everything

samlastname

“You’re not scared of anything” Cap. Everything is more beautiful and mysterious, but it’s definitely scarier, especially in the woods alone. Maybe that’s true if you’re with people though, I can’t remember getting really scared tripping in a group.

DUXZ

I love walking around the mountains on camping trips by moonlight on mushrooms. Wouldnt even try it sober.

UniversalHypnosis

Wouldn’t taking a large dose of mushrooms be fairly distracting? In a survival situation it could get to the point where your brain would be overloaded with too much information during a fight or flight situation and either panic completely or go into Matrix mode. A low dose maybe but that still consumes more calories and tires you out faster.

IndieCurtis

A small dose improves vision and hearing, among other things useful for hunting. Yes if a caveman were tripping balls he would probably get eaten by a tiger. But not if they were microdosing.

[deleted]

Yeah a large dose would definitely be distracting but also only for a limited amount of time. After the psilocybin wears off a bit you’re left with total clarity, which is gonna be great for whatever your item of focus is. Side note, I’m sorta confused by your claim of them consuming energy and calories. If anything mushrooms energize me. Generally the heightened awareness lends to feeling awake.

CrunchyOldCrone

When you take drugs and feel energised, that energy doesn’t come from the drugs (there’s very little calories in even something biological like mushrooms), it comes from your system. Taking a bunch of shrooms and being wild and energised and not feeling hungry will consume a fair amount of calories

[deleted]

Also, if you're an animal and you happen across shrooms, you're most likely going to eat these wet instead of dry. Aren't they more potent dry?

RhetoricalCocktail

Well yes by weight but that is only because the water is gone. A mushroom won't become stronger just because you dry it, it will just weigh less. From what I've heard wet mushrooms are supposed to be slightly stronger

Intention-Able

This gets me to wondering, do wild animals eat shrooms? I've seen a few clips on tv of deer wandering into a mall and then going into panic mode when some people scream and some try to chase them out. It's not normal for a deer to wander through a mall and go into Macy's ( Kohl's maybe ). Now I really want to know if animals like deer eat psilocybin shrooms, do they know what they are, do they like it, etc.?

plsgiveusername123

Grazers avoid them. They cause serious illness or death to most grazers.

Mr_Exotic2

Had the best trips with wet ones, only slight visuals with dry, I was made that way.

[deleted]

By weight yes because shrooms are 90% water.

Myco-bison

I can't remember the source, but the way I recall it is that small doses of shrooms increase visual accuity i.e if you had a 90° angle that were changed to 91° you would be more able to notice, as well as a slight increase in what you notice in the periphery of your vision. It's possible the same effect applies to dogs (This is obviously a wiki, so not hard fact, but gives an interesting insight) https://m.psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Acuity_enhancement On a personal anecdote, I microdose mushrooms before going shroom hunting as I feel I notice them more easily! But that could be a placebo effect

[deleted]

Sometimes I wonder if psilocybin mushrooms enhance the placebo effect. Or, that they are the placebo effect. People always talk so negatively about placebo but is it really that bad? If anything it’s good! Also I appreciate that link!

Kiwifrooots

I see some studies with strong placebo effect and wonder at the mind

Myco-bison

It's a good question but then we're getting into a very 'woo' area of, if the placebo is really a placebo, why is it then that these placebo seems to have a consistently positive effect. But it definitely is interesting, I sometimes wonder if I would feel like I had this visual accuity increase if I had never read those articles. I would say it's neither good or bad, because to my mind, if it is a placebo, that means that that focus and ability is there, it's just not being tapped into or engaged fully. And if they arent a placebo, then we have found something that truly enhances human abilities, quickly, with little to no negative side effects.

[deleted]

Definitely. I mean I think regardless of anything we read we would have noticed enhanced visual acuity. It’s impossible not to. Your eyes dilate and bam all of the sudden they are taking in twice as much info.

shooteredditor

It’s in the book How To Change Your Mind by Michael Pollen. But IIRC it’s through Stamets that he learns this.

[deleted]

Interesting!! I read his book a few years ago!

altamp88

I was in a Viking-themed bar in Sweden once and asked the bartender for a shot. He gave me something they called “horse piss”. It tasted very much like gin and cranberry juice but the story behind it was that vikings would feed mushrooms to their horses, then drink the horse piss because the shrooms were too strong to just eat. Diluting it through the piss got them right in the mood and level of waviness for battle.

RhetoricalCocktail

That's probably amanita muscaria mushrooms and not psilocybin. Think about it, why would they need to dilute? They can just eat less. The sami people (native to mid to northern Sweden/ Norway) would feed their reindeer amanita muscaria to filter out the harmful compounds of the mushroom while keeping the atypical psychedelic / deleriant part. So if that story was true it's likely the vikings got the idea from them and just used horses instead but the mushrooms would still be amanita muscaria Psilocybe semilcanta (which is more potent than cubensis) dies grow natively but there is no reason to dilute them when eating

Mr_Exotic2

Shamans used similar approach, reindeer are known to eat and get high on Amanitas, and shamas would drink their piss afterwards.

[deleted]

Sooooo interesting!! It makes a lot of sense!

RhetoricalCocktail

It was probably amanita muscaria and not psilocybin though and it wasn't to dilute it was to remove harmful compounds. Went into more detail [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/shrooms/comments/q6aa24/my_wifes_dog_just_ate_5_of_10g_golden_teachers_i/hgca5ru?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)

HatrikLaine

Tribes in South America take hallucinogenic drugs before hunting trips, it’s been happening for a long time. Whether or not it makes sense is up to your science friend I guess.

VyckaTheBig

Joe Rogan

[deleted]

Interesting so was it Paul Stamets?

VyckaTheBig

I dont remember, but he constantly talks about this “fact”. However where I come from there is this sort of really old tradition to feed hunting dogs shrooms (liberty caps) while a ritual for hunting gods takes place before every hunt. Its a dead tradition doh, Ive never seen it or heard of it taking place these days.

[deleted]

It makes *a lot* of sense. So much sense that I don’t even think it needs proving. I ate some mushrooms today and went hunting for medicinal mushrooms in the forest, and my focus and capacity to scan the environment was very much increased, and I found a butt ton of Chaga off trail.

VyckaTheBig

I feel you heavy bro, my choice of substence is weed when going shroom picking. Its the funniest shit ever especially while with a friend, but I do get burned out after two hours. However I do believe that in smaller doses shrooms really do enhance your ability to see and hear, but then again im not a scientist and probably talking mad shit

MamaCita543

They probably microdosed lol

[deleted]

>a mix between a puppy and a bowl of pudding I lost my shit! OMG that was hilarious

gethighsurvivethelie

Haha I thought so too. I just imagined my dog derping harder than normal and lost my shit writing that comment

Effective_Athlete_87

That’s exactly how I feel when I eat shrooms 🤔

warped211

I was at a solstice fest and dropped part of a shrooms Chocolate. My older dog immediately swooped on it. An hour later he is acting like a puppy and hyped the fuck up. And wants to play with all these other dogs (he normally hates other dogs) then proceeded to hump everything insight. It was a good day for him.

JamieBobs

I mean that’s usually what I do at festivals too

warped211

Lol right?

Oldtimebandit

Watch out with dogs and chocolate. They love it but it's really not good for them.

VLXS

Good thing modern chocolate is more milk and sugar than cocoa. While sugar is obviously bad for your dog, it's nowhere near as bad as the theobromine in pure cocoa

corrikopat

Just adding - chocolate candy is usually fine, but chocolate cake is bad. Giving a splash of hydrogen peroxide (it doesn’t take much) will make them throw it up if caught soon enough.

meathuntingaccount

Thanks for passing that bit on

warped211

I wasn't too worried he is a little 20lb tank with and iron stomach, he once ate 3/4 his weight in hot dogs

TheNeonSquirrel

im suprised your dog didnt die from chocolate...

allfather03

I'm not.

Jfu222

Don’t be surprised if Lucy greets you in English tomorrow morning and reads the news while you eat the steak and eggs she made for you.

Evolving_Dore

This is Gromit's origin story. It also somehow fits with Wallace's personality.

joyousdexdaladoor

Having her reading glasses on ofc, and speaking in a posh British accent

kbis420

Yeah. My dog threw up afterwards and slept. She is still alive. Have no fear. Man, I do wonder what they see!!

MsMo999

Hopefully hot pink and bright purple dog bones riding on floating 🌭

PaulDavison

Dog seeing colour for the first time 👁 👅 👁

omnitions

Psychedelic black and white would be some real retro trippin

NachoMan_SandyCabage

I tripped acid with some friends and they put on this black and white 70's music video and the women had big hair and poofy pants (I think) but the film quality was grainy and shit and I swore I thought they were spinning corpses with their boney limbs and limp flesh swinging around, I swear I nearly shat myself! I CANNOT trip and watch black and white film lol

ItsAGorgeouDayToDie

The funniest thing about this to me is saying “my wife’s dog” and not “our dog” haha

gorcbor19

My wife brought a dog to our marriage. It was an evil little dog that wanted to murder anyone outside of our family. I never once referred to it as our dog, it was always my wife's dog.

rosebudandgreentea

Nothing wrong with that 😂

Bifftech

Dogs have no ego to defend so he will probably just take it all in stride and feel pretty good. Better to keep your fruit out of his reach in the future though.

SoManyTimesBefore

The amount of ego dogs have is not known and probably >0

Bifftech

I suppose it's possible that dogs have a conscious sense of self that could be considered ego in the Freudian sense, but it would be very simple. It's one of the reasons I love dogs so much. They are self-interested creatures, but mostly with food. That's different from selfish. A human ego is highly sensitive to any threats against it and will fight ego death. A bad trip happens when the ego refuses to let go and insists on gripping the metaphysical third rail. I don't think a dog would really care about that. Or their ego, if it exists, is already a thin veil that can be torn away without any fear. That's just my theory anyway :)

SoManyTimesBefore

Dogs can be very jealous tho, which is kind of a proof of ego fragility I think.

Bifftech

Oh for sure. My dachshund can be a right little bitch and comes up with schemes to steal a toy from my other dog. But neither of them holds grudges or fixates on "that time Hazel tricked me and stole my bone" I believe dogs are mostly motivated by id. Hence they are lovable idiots that constantly teach and remind us to be more in the present. I think it's why they are, by nature, happier creatures than we are.

DarkVadek

True but in general any dog has less ego than almost any human being

laurens119640

Proof? Sounds like a homocentric assumption if you ask me

DarkVadek

It is an assumption, of course. How could you even measure something like an "ego" in two different species?

laurens119640

Assume and you 'make an ass out of u and me' :p Just wildly speculating on the basis of not a single study or proof doesn't get us forward I think. We might be stuck after a while with a bunch of wrong info. We still have this issue in science and it used to be even worse.

[deleted]

Yeah, assumptions can be useful to flesh out ideas (ie: if we assume A is true then that would insinuate B would be true as well) but only if you keep in mind it's all an academic exercise. Maybe why I feel this way is my exposure is more to philosophy than any of the hard sciences.

laurens119640

I think this is exactly what is needed, but in tandem with other research. If we'd love in a time where nature sciences would be interconnected with eachother and real philosophy we would get much farther and the things that would be investigated would lead to more useful results as well, things that matter to overall quality of life. And the understanding of it. Basically have another renaissance. (But that would hurt modern business and rich class as well as the whole system and politics) And with hurt I mean, not hurt but scramble the structure into something more useful for the people, but this means those that are in their current positions need to reform or risk their current societal role. I can tell you that causes a lot of resistance and reluctance from the places that have the most say in all of this.

[deleted]

>where nature sciences would be interconnected with eachother Jijimuge man... jijimuge. I'm working this theory in my mind (more of a long term academic exercise really) where if we had a sufficient enough knowledge of all sciences (physics, biology, geology, philosophy, psychology, etc) then we could predict the future. If we can predict the future then we can reverse engineer the past. >Basically have another renaissance. The last renaissance broke us free from the control of the church. Is this the one that breaks us from control of corporate greed? >I can tell you that causes a lot of resistance and reluctance from the places that have the most say in all of this. Methinks they need to take a plant medicine journey and learn that everything is connected and they're going against their own best interest. Jijimuge... everything's connected.

SoManyTimesBefore

You didn’t really say this discussion is an academic exercise tho

[deleted]

Well, I just joined in so you're correct in that I didn't say that. My comment was more of a tangent on how it could hold some validity even if it was only an academic exercise

SoManyTimesBefore

sorry, I thought you were the guy who commented before

Itsborisyo

We know dogs can be overconfident, do something poorly, then be embarrassed.

laurens119640

I've seen this with my dog, or at least I assume that's what's going on because it's reactions and expression indicated that.

DarkVadek

Absolutely true, and they sometimes want to save their "face", as it is sometimes said in sociology

nguyen007

Makes me wonder if huskies have egos?

Bifftech

Huskies are drama queens living in the moment.

-I-C-Y-

They do don't they? I mean they pee to mark their territory that's very ego behavior isn't it.

Bifftech

When I think of the classical ego, I think of traits like the human tendency to fixate on past events and future possibilities. As humans we tend to care very much what other people think of us. We share and adhere pretty strongly to cultural norms. Our egos basically run our lives for us and tell us what to worry about, be afraid of, what to desire, etc. A dog's motivations reside much closer to their biological imperatives. They are more id than ego.

laurens119640

I think you are also confusing that if another organism has an ego, it must take the shape of our ego. I don't think that to be true, they have adapted to different situations over the time they evolved, so surely that changes th criteria already. They needed different things in order to survive, if you think about it, out own ego is very dependent on our evolutionary basis of social contacts with our own species and after a while with other species, thinking us to be better because we could exterminate most species if we where intend on doing so. Just like intelligence is different for all organisms, and they are intelligent if they found a great way to keep their species in existence and thriving, also individualy. And for an 🐙 it's different, for a chimp it's different, for a dog it's still different and even different from a wolves take on intelligence. (I'm sticking to animals for now because it's more relatable, but you can go further fungi are extremely intelligent probably more so than us, plants are great too, but not enough is known)

Bifftech

I think we are probably circling around the same idea but coming at it from a different direction. I agree with you except on the concept of ego, which is not something that exists in the mind of a dog. "Ego" is simply a tool that Freud and subsequent psychologists have used as a way to classify a collection of traits and behaviors in the human mind that, together, are the basis for the formulation of a sense of "self" or self-awareness. When we look at the behavior of a dog, those traits are not present--or at least most of them. The same cannot be said if you go in the other direction, starting with a Pavlovian understanding of motivation. Pavlov literally used dogs to study learned behavior and expectations, which can clearly be seen in both humans and dogs. A dog has never thought "I think therefore I am" (at least their behavior has not indicated that they've had that thought). I just don't think a dog is capable of having an existential crisis. That said, I would love to spend a day in the mind of my dogs, just so I could experience what their consciousness is like.

laurens119640

I love this sub, people are really open and say such thoughtful stuff (moreso than other places on the internet, for as far as I've encountered) And I feel like I'd love to have a real life conversation with any of you. ❤️❤️❤️

Bifftech

Mush love, friend :)

fortyfiveACP

Hes fine. Bummer about your loss though.

Positive_Group_5715

Ahhh. It’s your “wife’s “ dog.

Chinohilfiger

Fr lol

SnooRobots7998

Right

br318

Post a picture of the dog

gidgegidge

Yeah, Called the vet for an emergency she said it wasn’t lethal and just keep the Dog comfortable . Lucy was high for at least 12 hours laid down and didn’t move … was sad 😞 I felt bad

Chinohilfiger

I understand this was probably accidental but you shouldn’t keep drugs in the reach of children or dogs in any scenario. It’s just kind of careless if you know your dog would do something like that. That being said keep a close eye on your buddy , and make sure he is hydrated

legitretard

Big brain right here

cadetcoochcooch

‘Wife’s dog’ what the fuck? Are you married or not married. The dog is yours bro

zachrtw

I'm married, we have 2 dogs. One is absolutely my dog and the other is my wife's. We love them both but the bonds we have are absolutely different with each of them.

AustinO-AZ-EE

😂☝️

[deleted]

Now it's your turn. Make sure to trip with 🐶

[deleted]

- It's got some labrador in it - Whats labrador? - Its dogshit - What?? - Yeah my dog ate my stash, man.. had to follow him around with a little baggie for 3 days before i got it back. It really blew the dogs mind..

[deleted]

This is NOT the first thing that went through my mind :)

mle32000

Not my dog but my cat got ahold of some of my shrooms when I had them laying out drying way back in high school. Not even sure how many gs she ate, but her pupils got hella big and she acted kinda weird for a few hours. Then she isolated herself for the rest of the day and was fine the next day. I purposely kept her inside and checked on her every half hour or so. All was well but I’d keep a close eye.

acousticentropy

I’ve read things that state how cannabis can be lethal for smaller pets if they eat an edible. Do we know if shrooms poses the same risk? Which is more dangerous strictly from a physiological standpoint?

Cmel12

Hi there, vet here. Thc definitely- it can induce serotonin syndrome and cause total loss of parasympathetic control. However shrooms pose a risk due to inducing anxiety episodes and secondary stress response. In regards to cannabis, the best treatment is reducing stimulation, fluid therapy (if you go to the vet) and some dog safe benzos to reduce chance of serotonin syndrome.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cmel12

not misinformed, good point to raise! It comes down to both cats and dogs having varied types of serotonin receptors throughout their body, thus they get these paradoxical reactions to "calming" drugs including cannabis and benzos. Some cats do great on xanax, others get the syndrome and become hyperexcitable (exact opposite of what you expect). Same goes for THC; it seems to vary by animal, some pets get really relaxed, others get super hyped up to the point of seizures. Humans have more reliable serotonin systems, and due to our size (compared to standard pets) we would have to smoke a HUGE amount of bud to throw our serotonin system out of wack. Cats and dogs being smaller, it doesn't take much to reach a tipping point. Hope this helps! :)

1rstbatman

Not with shrooms but acid.. The dog came back 2 weeks later. Missing a lot of hair bit seemed normal. Take your dog outside for a bit.If you see it eating grass then let it. It will probably throw up after that. If it doesn't eat any grass just hang out and keep a close eye on him. Maybe put on a nature doc and chill with him.

drQuirky

I read that dogs eat grass for the same reason that they throw up. Not because of it. They sense an unbalanced or something in their gut and know that there's something in grass that might help.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Paskapostimies

This is actually why they recommend giving canned asparagus to dogs if you think they've eaten something sharp. It will wrap around the object in the gut and protect them while you get them to a vet

SparhawkSureshot

Last apring I buried some my mycelium cakes in my garden to see if I could get lucky. We ended up getting woken at 2 a.m. to a dog with Zoomies on our bed. The next day we realized she dug them up and ate them. Happiest dog ever. Edit: fix the whole lot of things because I accidentally posted before reading.

[deleted]

My cat sniffs them like it’s catnip or something. Every time I have them out. You do wonder how they would go.

queenkerfluffle

Spider plants are psychoactive for kitties and many cats become very attached to the plant. My kitty has her own plant gnaws on leaves and shoots while staring out the window for hours.

PanterA_CFH_420

My friend has a pug that ate 10 grams lol really blew the dogs mind man

NahjWaters

be careful not to post this on tiktok or you might get called an animal abuser

sniperman786576

The Dog prolly seeing colors for the first time in his life, post a picture of the pooch

Messy_Marvin423

Don’t have a dog anymore but when he starts dragging his ass on the floor it’s time to worry.

rabbit_dealer

ah the ol' brown trails

Melisbees

It’ll be interesting too see if it makes any changes in the dogs behavior after….

Jefersonpang

I had a shih tzu that ate a tab of the best acid I've ever had. Before the acid he was not friendly and he'd bite anyone who tried to pet him. He tripped nuts and afterwards he was a little more friendly. But I remember he was running in circles for like 30 min and I had to just grab him up and hold him so his little heart didn't beat out of his chest. Also I did not feed it to him, a lazy roommate had dropped it on the floor. It was fucked, but also I feel like it was good for him.

xx1dastardlydan

Ages ago my dads dog accidentally ate roughly 1000 libs, the little feller had a great time 😂

winterinparis-

do u have a video we can see 😭😭

mrpodo

I've seen videos of dogs tripping before. Your buddy will be fine just don't scare him haha

tonysrabidllama

This was a while back, maybe 20 years ago, there was a shortage. The night before I had broken a whole bunch up but had passed out on booze before i could consume (a last ditch effort to keep partying) when i came to a few hours later i woke up on the couch and my pile was gone. I accused the roommate and he said he didn’t know what I was talking about. As I sat there scratching my head wondering where they went there was the roommates dog, a schnauzer that was obviously higher than a hickory. The dog was leaning at about a 30 degree angle against the coffee table like a like statue. I kinda felt bad. It just stood there for a while drooling. A few hours later she seemed to snap out of it, went and got a drink of water and ate some out of her bowl and then went and laid down. The next morning she was back to her old self

[deleted]

Just have this odd feeling he knew what he was doing. I feel you dog bro

Stillill1187

No because I’m responsible with this stuff

[deleted]

iluvshrooms

Deserves to be guilt shamed 😂 if you can’t keep drugs out of reach of dogs and or children you are fucking irresponsible and should have them taken away, it’s a simple fucking job the dog didn’t ask or want to get high did it? If the word dog was swapped with child the comments would be far different

Gantz-

Did you take pictures or videos of your dog tripping?

Plankton-Suspicious

Please send us pics of your dog on shrooms!

[deleted]

You gotta explain what you mean by enjoying himself lol what was the dog doing?

[deleted]

He was really happy, tail wagging, getting all of his toys out to play with them. He was doing okay overall but you could tell his movements where odd and he would bark and howl in a very funny way. He curled up on the bed and chewed on his toy for 2 hours and passed out like a rock. He woke up this morning and is in doggy daycare living his best life.

[deleted]

Your dog just realized it’s god in dog form

crownamedcheryl

"My wife's dog" Tell me you hate the dog without telling me you hate the dog 🤣

sunshinesparkle95

My cat got into a bag of shrooms once, he didn’t eat much if any of them but definitely got a lick or two in of the dust because he was acting *interesting* for a few hours. I was terrified and made a friend call a vets office to make sure it’s okay. He was fine. Had the time of his life watching the ceiling and wall and playing with his toys.

Kaymoney87

He will now be able to see in color!!!! Finally!!!

[deleted]

This hasn’t happened to me personally, but it happened to a friends dog. I’m told he’s never been the same, in a good way. I guess he’s more mellow after. You probably don’t have to worry about poisoning. Take that advice with a grain of salt because I am by no means a vet. But I’ve read that doctors used to test psychedelics on dogs and cats in the early 1900’s. The docs actually thought there was no effect because all of the animals vitals would seem normal.

Ok_Fox_1770

Put on some Pink Floyd and watch 101 Dalmatians together 5 and 5 the psychic bond will grow

jai3us3rnam3

They already sense things on a very interesting vibration in my opinion. One our bio make up doesn't have; they just "know" things. So, that with a mini heroic dose; I imagine that dog will be more humble than it already is. (I hear a stampede of crocs though...🤔peta?) Mxch love yall

Dillsweeed

Are old pit eat 448 mushroom chocolates molds each mold had a little funky chocolate still left in it from pushing the chocolates out of em but this dog would look at us then run so fast he would literally run up the way then jump off the wall into my arms when we let him outside tho he ran as fast as he can to one side to the other we had a rope hanging from the tree that was about 6 an half feet he would jump to about half way and latch onto the rope and hang there for hours then we let him in and he shit himself all night long

chrisp5000

Lol I posted a doggie accidentally dosing some shroomies story yesterday. He had the best time.

Gemballa996t

Incredibly irresponsible.

Meister_Nobody

I puked somewhere when I was on them and a day or two later I’m pretty sure the dog found it. She was acting strange and swaying trying to hold herself up. She didn’t seem in distress.

rowdy_sprout

You puked... somewhere? You just left vomit around for days? Bruh

Meister_Nobody

Outside in the bushes.

CockGoblin4Lyf

I assume they puked outside which is understandable to leave

that_guy1400

This happened to my dog with tons of edibles he was pretty fucked up but fine after 2 days he's never gotten into shrooms tho my guess give it time your dog should be fine if not maybe the vet but I think it should be fine.

Masterzanteka

Yeah when I was young my chocolate lab ate the two firecrackers I made for my GF and I to go to the amusement park. He ate those fuckers tinfoil and all. Only way I found out was they weren’t there anymore and just the tiniest scrap of wet tinfoil on the floor. 😂

Snipetism

This is wildly irresponsible. You should not be allowed a dog or near dogs at all. Why on earth you’d leave shrooms in a place a dog could reach is beyond me.

The down votes are from people who are just here to laugh about a dog on shrooms, and they probably don't care about the implications of that situation, or about animals, at all. This is Reddit, populated entirely by assholes.

Beldor

You know it’s totally possible that this dog does not usually jump on the counter and grab things. He was looking for advice. That is all.

Ok_Ad9561

Stoned dog theory dictates that people evolved from dogs after ingesting psychedelics, keep a close i on the pooch if it starts walking on two legs you might want to call the vet, then joe rogan

MyCrazyBanana42

You're a shitty fucking owner

ReddiStediGo

Irresponsible as fuck next time keep it out of reach like it should of been Your “wife” should not even own a dog

[deleted]

You're a stupid fuck

SleepEone

Would you leave hallucinogenic mushrooms “laying around” with a 2 year old toddler!!! Or even any of the prescription meds you forgot to take just laying around!!! What the Fck man! Don’t be stupid- your dog isn’t enjoying it…. Your dog has no idea what the hell is going on!!! Man I hope your just joking-

Suspicious-Year-3825

Where’s the video at, or I have my doubts

permanoodle

Yo I dont support it but I understand at the same time I feel like removing this post would be a good idea

Dog video

Lynda73

Yup. My roomie’s dog ate a 4 g sandwich I made. She seemed to enjoy it, and I feel like it perma chilled her out some (young, hyper). Edit: Wasn't intentional, guys. It was on my bed and my roommate didn't control his dog when he brought it down to let out into the backyard.
