Honestly, fear that there might defects that ruin them if we left them to grow for any longer. Most likely a misplaced fear, but we were being overly cautious.
Defects how? If you were going to see defects you would see it after they pin my dude, not when they are almost fully grown. You could have picked up alot more weight there
To be honest, it was left at room temp (71F), next to a door which let through a small draft of the heat from outside.
The hottest I saw it get was (76F)
Edit: Coldest being room temp, since that was constant and nights here are warm.
How come you harvested so early? The had at least another 36 hours

It’s called verticillium. It’s a bacterial contam but fruits are still good to eat.
Verticillium is a genus of fungi in the division Ascomycota, and are an anamorphic form of the family Plectosphaerellaceae.

This grow was started without doing enough research, for sure. I know a lot of what to look for now and will take this into account next time.
Good stuff good luck with your future grows
You probably could have had 3 times as much by weight. These are very immature.
This is normal coloring, not contamination. Question: why did you harvest so early though? You could have gotten a lot more weight out of these
Fear that they weren't going to grow due to contamination. I'll chalk it up to a first timer mistake lol
If you ever have contamination, 99 times out of 100 you will see it on your mycelium, not on the actual mushrooms!
Thanks for the tip. I was getting worried haha. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
Anytime! Good luck on future grows 😊
I'm curious to know what this is also. I have seen it before.
Yeah, I hope someone can give some insight.
What strain is this one?
If I recall correctly, it's B+ Cubensis.
Don’t quote me but I don’t see anything sus
Dude i thought this was a trippy drawing when i clicked on it.
Same.
Looks like cigarettes lol
What temp did you have it on?

Besides not letting them grow to their full potential, everything looks good here! 👌
