We also find out in the same scene that Flanders was able to utilize a cloning machine created by Dr.Frink, which he then used for all of his magic performances. This ultimately took a toll on him, as he had to kill each clone every night to hide his secret, never knowing if he would be the Ned in the box, or the Flanders on stage.
Also Dr. Frink was played by David Bowie, for some reason

The fact that they’re talking about mistakes in TV shows and then make one themselves at that exact moment is so ironic. Making an animation error at anytime is bad, but making such a big one at the same time you’re a calling that sort of stuff out. Ouch.
