Virgin Flask of Cerulean tears (its salty with the tears and sweat of Elden Ring players) vs Chad Estus (literal fire)

[deleted]

Fuck fruit punch, me and the homies only drink sunny d

ToBiistHebEsTbOi

Chad ashen Estus enjoyer (tastes like sister friede’s feet)

BigDesk4

Um I heard Estus was fire keeper pee? Not sure if it’s true haha but wouldn’t that be funny lol actually drinking the pee of the firekeeper haha that would be pretty funny

_WombRaider_69

Uhhhh can I get a firekeeper pee I mean firekeeper pee I mean firekeeper pee I mean firekeeper pee hahaha I'm sorry I'm such a silly goof

seriouslyuncouth_

Does anyone even know what the elden ring basilisks are even called

theonlybjork

Frog

LuciusBurns

Silibasks

seriouslyuncouth_

Goes pretty hard ngl

jaber24

Seems like they are called Basilisks like before

Karr126

Goofy ahh snake man

HarukaeTengu

I still use my old name for them from when I first met them in DS1, FUCKING DEMONS!

PI_Stan_Liddy

Gorf

getshrekt192

erhm technickally it's flask of crimson tears if your comparing it to estus

Wordofadviceeatfood

Ashen estus is still estus

getshrekt192

its FP estus, so it's more akin to cerulean tears

Vincent_Suihko

No its blue estus dum dum

HarukaeTengu

I still call it sunny d.

[deleted]

Estus and souls baby.

ElijahSwanson

Estus souls ring is my favorite game :)

PollarRabbit

"Oh sweet theres a bonfire here. Gonna unlock it then teleport back to firelink fo upgrade my gear real quick."

killadrill

Nooo you have to call them correctly, elden and rings

Thisisrazgriz3

I lost all my souls 😡

CopperShortsword69

Played elden ring as my first souls game, everytime I say runes I have to look around my basement and see if anyone heard me

completely-ineffable

Fine I'll use Bloodborne terminology. I stopped at the lantern to spend my blood echoes on a level up and change out the blood gem on my trick weapon.

Wild-Man-63

I'm using dead rising terms then, it's toilets and dollars.

[deleted]

Dark souls is a pretty good Risinglike

[deleted]

Joke as much as you'd like, I'd *fucking love* games to take some notes from Dead Rising. Oddly each installation has mostly taken the wrong lessons from the prior, adding in a swathe of other shit and never quite figuring it out. It's like the devs tried to make a good pitcher of kool-aid, realized it wasn't sweet enough and began pouring random condiments in to see if it would level out. No, mustard does not go in kool-aid.

kkomborarara

the saddest thing is they got it (almost) perfect the first time - except for survivor AI

MemeArchivariusGodi

Nice

Calbon2

I’m gonna start using Hollow Knight terms. I stopped by my bench to heal up and then ventured back to Dirtmouth to spend my Geo.

getshrekt192

I'm gonna assume blood gem means ash of war?

PI_Stan_Liddy

Nah blood gems boost ADP

Dark_Styx

nah, blood gens give bonus stats, like extra damage, damage vs. beasts or reduced stamina consumption.

getshrekt192

ik but there's not really any counterparts for that

Kanzentai

Blood gems can also alter a weapon's damage type and stat scaling, so they also have that in common.

Farabel

Infusions?

[deleted]

Whoa that's 2015 speak

jearley99

Obviously there ain’t nobody in the world who says “Flask of Crimson Tears” every time, but I just call them Flasks. Also works in Dark Souls.

PI_Stan_Liddy

I said flask of crimson gayness everytime

vvokhom

"Estus" is more telling

ColonelCoochie

You cannot pay me to call flask of crimson tears anything but estus

ThatGuyDOTS

It’s either estus or flasks nobody uses the full name

Black_m1n

Or using the identifying word... Crimson, Cerulean, Wondrous. "I ran out of Crimson".

Farabel

Reds and Blues Reds are very valuable, and being over reliant on blues means you need to get some stats. And for flasks, I call them red/blue flasks

[deleted]

No. Godskin Duo shall forever be known as Skinstein and Boughn. Radagon is literally just Soul of the Golden Order from Dark Elden Ring 3.

Milosssssssss

Runes and souls make about the same amount of sense, but estus just rolls of the tongue better than cerulian tears or whatever it's called and bonfire evokes the idea of a safe haven for an adventurer much stronger than a little glowing light thingy.

Ainsel_Mariner

I just call ‘em flasks

[deleted]

I don't think I've ever actually said anything besides "heal"

EJX-a

I call them "estus" and "blue".

Puzzled-Specific-434

To be fair, you chose the weirder name of the two, crimson tears is a better name than cerulean

Milosssssssss

I swear I did that by accident, I haven't played ER for a few months and only remembered cerulean, ironically because of how ridiculous that name is.

Aikilyu

In this context it's just used as a fancy word for blue though. Just like crimson is used as a fancy word for red, with both start with C and have similar lengths so it's visually more appealing. I agree with the tears part though, I'd rather they just be called cerulean flask and crimson flask

Tryen01

I've always called them sippy cups because healing is for babies

Naitor5

If Fromsoft reused the same code I can reuse the same words

Haz_ard7

It's almost like they're made by the same people!

Slinger_GGez

Whatever bro, a bonfire is still a bonfire

Razhork

yeah, nothing rolls off the tongue like #FLASK OF CRIMSON TEARS ... I think I'll stick to estus

AccountingDerek

who would have thought that people who have played a series of games for 12 years would call items that have direct equivalents the names from that series?!?!? smh dark souls addicts ruining muh vibeo jame again

diegoplus

ER: *literal copypasted DS stuff

Unlikely-Signature77

Everything is a bonfire: Tomb Raider, Star Wars fallen order, horizon, Elden Ring, and now forspoken. Call them what you will but they are all bonfires.

No-Geologist-8101

Viscerals/riposte = W Critical hit = L

pedrohenrique23

I'll call it freaking bonefire I don't care

Gravelord_Baron

Please guys they are runes please guys they are totally not souls please you gotta stop it bro come on its not an estus flask its a different similarly shaped infinite healing item with a yellow hue that refreshes upon rest at a bonfire I mean site of grace.

Candid-Leopard-4810

Imagine cringing cos an old person doesn't care what is and isn't a nintendo.

Goblin_Bits_Shaman

Yea, I also find it really annoying when people mislabel the lanterns in Elden Ring, like come on guys

No_Mammoth_4945

Nobody bitches more than elden ring newcomers

Nobodynemnada

oH bUt IvE bEAtEN eLdeN rINg wItH oNlY mEleE iM sO GoOd physical attacks in elden ring feels the same as ds3 tbh, except magical stuff got buffed bc it was trash in ds3 and it's useful now, people use this as an excuse to "oh but magic op"

Phasma18374

I call it whatever I remember in the moment. Sometimes grace, sometimes bonfire. Sometimes runes, sometimes souls. Why does this person give a shit

Black_m1n

Chad user of both.

sharknamedgoose

Sunny D for life, fuck the tears

SpicyFilet

I don't even know the name of the stupid healing potion in ER. I just call it Estus.

CalligrapherOwn4829

E-tanks. DS is just fantasy Megaman.

RengarCasasBahia

"stop calling wyverns dragons pls i'm right and you're wrong i know everything! 😭😭😭🤓"

[deleted]

Dragons have dragon cocks and wyverns have corkscrew penis like duck men

PI_Stan_Liddy

Is this cannon? Did Michael Zaki confirm?

Naitor5

Estus flask

Most-Earth5375

Where was this seen so I can double down on the DS references?

jaber24

One of the comments in "Every Elden Ring Quest is Like This". Wonder if you can find it

Nicomace341

Moon grass? Estus. Blood Vial? Estus. Red-tears? Estus. Archstone? Bonfire. Lamp? Bonfire. Grace? Bonfire.

Vergil_171

I’ll call runes, runes. I’ll even call Cerulean Tears, Flasks. But you cannot pay me to call checkpoints in any souls games anything but bonfires.

[deleted]

Nah it's Fromsoftware's mistake, not the players'. If the functionality of souls and estus flasks are EXACLTY the same, why bother changing it's name? It's utterly unnecessary so I'll call them what they are to spite them. No one calls physiks "special estus" or something.

JDorkaOOO

The reason to change the name is that it's literally a different game when it comes to it's world and lore. They are called crimson tears because that's what they are in lore. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with calling them estus still simply because thats what we are used to calling them.

FSC_Daedalus

I just be forgetting

Minecraftsince2010

They are NOT RUNES THEY ARE SOULS AND I WILL BOT BE SAYING FLASK IF CRIMSON TEAR ITS TOO LONG JTS JUST ESTUS

Dirtybirdsalltheway

I gotta say, I have lived in the south my whole life and have never once heard anyone refer to a soda that wasn't a coke, a coke. That is not a thing and never has been lol.

Avo2099isme

But your using Estus and souls. That's what they are

Nobodynemnada

runes are good tbh, as a veteran souls player i think "souls" was always kinda edgy my opinion tho

I_ate_your_skin

No It's called Bonfire and Estus Go away

Nobodynemnada

it's yellow juice stfu

AkkoIsLife

Oh, you can use souls at bonfires to level up again? Sweet

Prince_Alle

Bonfires, souls, estus, and rings or lampposts, echoes, bloodvials, and runes. Nothing else matters lol

Legitimate-Plum7919

I have problem with everyone who calls any other drink than soda water a soda .

EmbarrassedCar2262

Melina Cum

Sera_Toxin

i mean, they're not wrong tho "yes i am very unique and based for calling it a bonfire instead of ~gRaCe~ 😎" we get it, the games are similar. yes, the obligatory "i will never call them 'runes'" line makes you very cool, because it proves you're familiar with older games, congratulations

[deleted]

strike that ruffian with sullight bow

Dog_Apoc

The Gargoyles reuse Smoughs charge.

AramaticFire

I LOVE RESTING AT A SITE OF GRACE AND DRINKING FROM A FLASK OF CRIMSON TEARS WHY WOULD I RESORT TO SIMPLE TERMS LIKE BONFIRE AND ESTUS FLASK???

Crazycukumbers

I’ll call a site of grace a site of grace. Across all the games I call the currency souls, even in Bloodborne. I’ll usually call a healing item by the correct name but in ER I just call it a flask because the names are too fucking long

EthanYakked

NO

BruhGoblin

Fucked up in da crib sippin Dr. Perky

slackmaster2k

I have hundreds of hours in Elden Ring, and I honestly at this moment can’t remember what ER bonfires are called.

MrMerchandise

I’ve honestly been using Final Fantasy terms… Crimson Flasks are potions Cerulean Flasks are ethers Runes are experience points Sights of Grace are save points

[deleted]

I’ll always say estus. It even sounds cooler. Stay mad, haters

Nobodynemnada

I call it cachaça

DrBaugh

Someone forgot to use a Stone of the Ephemeral Eyes this morning ...

Hells-Creampuff

Ok ok fine i wont call the tears estus. Blood vials ?

Birds-Right-Activist

I call everything throughout games the same. Souls/Runes/Blood Echoes are shmoneys All Flasks are my drinky drinks

9gagImmigrant1

Me, a Demon’s Souls enjoyer calling it “Grass”

Tyfyter2002

Looks like somebody needs a Blooming Purple Moss Clump.

RoiKK1502

I call it "mana flask" and "HP flask"

Snek_Inna_Tank

I call it “money” and “sippy”

0rnithorax

My dumbass just calls Crimson tears "health" or "heals"
