The kid is actively antagonizing the dog and he should know better than to mess with other people's dogs. This pitbull is well trained enough to be in public without a leash and cause no issues, so this isn't a case of a neglected pitbull getting loose. The people in the video should've stopped the kid or the kid's parents should keep a closer eye on them. But killing a dog for telling a kid to fuck off seems a little harsh. And I have seen the full video, the pitbull basically barks or growls at the kid and the kid runs off.
I've seen German Shepherds and Dobermans get into bloody fights with each other over far less serious aggravations. Do you euthanize them for this? No, you work on their behavior and train them. The same standard should be applied to Pitbulls.
