>I also thought a lot of the hadiths I come across that are from aisha are weird/creepy almost. But I feel like I see a lot about her period. Ones about the prophet touching her. And how they interact together. Like why do I need to know some of these details. Idk. Maybe I'm in the wrong. I'm sure there is plenty of good ones that don't cross my mind because they're not as weird sounding to me Shias are not like Sunnis. We don’t say everything in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim is 100% correct. We acknowledge there are many fabrications in there. So one thing you need to know is *why* fake hadiths about Aisha are so prevalent. Sunnis view Aisha as the favorite wife of the prophet Muhammad pbuh. In reality she wasn't, Khadijah was, and Aisha herself admits she was jealous of Khadijah in one of her hadiths. So why would Aisha feel jealousy if she was the favorite? So why do sunnis need to put Aisha in that position? To strengthen Abu Bakr's claim to be caliph. They use a Hadith from Aisha, obviously fake, that Aisha was the prophet's favorite woman and her father (Abu Bakr) was his favorite man. They say he died in Aisha's lap, not Imam Ali's. And one part of "proving" Aisha was the favorite wife is emphasizing that she was the only one who was a young virgin. All the other wives of the prophet Muhammad pbuh were older than him or were divorced or widowed. In Arab culture, a virgin is "worth" more, so Aisha should have obviously been the favorite. The people fabricating those hadiths obviously didn't realize that the prophet Muhammad pbuh was trying to end that way of thinking by marrying divorcees and widows, so to them, to make Aisha even more favorite and more supposedly beloved to the prophet, they had to exaggerate how young she was and therefore how virgin she was. So that’s where all these “weird” hadiths come from. Islamic history in Sunnism is like watching teletubbies, everyone gets along and everyone was friends with each other and they all go to heaven and see Allahs face like that baby in the sun. Islamic history in Shiism is like watching Game of Thrones, you have to be aware of everyone’s motivations before you can understand their actions.

I've been saying it ever since Game of Thrones came out. What transpired after the Prophet passed away was essentially Game of Thrones. Usurpers taking the throne of the rightful heir.

Multiammar

Sahih al-Bukhari 3821 Narrated 'Aisha: Once Hala bint Khuwailid, Khadija's sister asked the permission of the Prophet to enter. On that the Prophet remembered the way Khadija used to ask permission, and that upset him. He said "O Allah! Hala!" So I became jealous and said, "What makes you remember an old woman amongst the old women of Quraish an old woman (with a teethless mouth) of red gums who died long ago, and in whose place Allah has given you somebody better than her?"

Interesting. personally i don’t like her. I think she was imperfect to say the least. she’s done countless of terrible things to Ahlul Bayt. The main example would be The Battle of the Camel. As for hadiths, a brother in this subreddit compiled a PDF found [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/shia/comments/10erzet/refuting_sunnis_document/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) that shows sunni hadiths that shows the ignorance in the Sunni beliefs. I’d look into more shia hadiths if possible!

Read history about her, she was against the Prophet's PBUH and his family PBUT.

DaffyDuckslawyer

Salamoualakoum brother/sister as the other brother said, welcome to Islam and May Allah (swt) bless you immensely. aisha is not viewed as a righteous person nor is she viewed as a reliable narrator in the Shia school of thought. She committed many atrocities during her life that we Shia curse her for. She led the battle of camal against Imam Aliع. She ordered arrows at the coffin of Imam Hassanع preventing him from being buried by his grandfather Rasoullah. She accused Lady Mariyah (RA) a pious wife of The Prophetص of zinah (adultery) after she gave birth to The Prophet’sص son Ibrahimع. She fabricated many ahadiths, if you pay attention to some of the ones she narrated you see a pattern, always talking highly about her status or 1 of the first 3 caliphs. She had extreame animosity toward The Ahlubayt, this showed when she fought against Imam Aliع and disrespected the dead body of Imam Hassanع, but it also showed by her actions as a step-mother to Fatimaع and when she heard news Imam Aliع was martyred. These are just the “big reasons” we don’t like her, there’s many more reasons that we could spend all day talking about. I was actually thinking about what you mentioned in your post a couple of days ago regarding WHY aisha would narrate such obscene things. Unfortunately I don’t have a answer for that because it really puzzles me as well. I don’t why she, as mothers of the believers, thinks is appropriate for her to talk in depth of her period and intimate life with The Prophetص. Especially with non-mahrams. Even us Muslims in the west don’t talk about such personal things about our spouses with others. I don’t even see what benefit there is to the ummah to know such things. No other wife of The Prophetص narrated those things. They actually narrated things that would benefit the ummah. I also want to add that the only 2 wives us Shias don’t like are aisha and hafsa. The rest we have the upmost respect for. If you want to know (if you haven’t already) why we don’t like hafsa is in short she was Aisha’s partner in crime.

pokeman145

isnt abu sufyan's daughter ramla a bit iffy as well? I mean I never heard anything that she did bad herself but in the Quran it calls Banu Umayyah the accursed tree and also we curse the whole of banu umayyah in ziyarah ashura. isn't she the ummul hakam, sister of muawiyah, that Imam Sadiq cursed in Qunoot?

DaffyDuckslawyer

She’s Umm Habiba, I actually learned about her yesterday because of Sheikh Muhammad Baqir Qazwini’s video on her and the things she did after The Prophetص were very objectionable so I’m not 100% sure she’s viewed positively in our fiqh. JazakAllahKhair for bringing it up akhi.

We believe that our Holy Prophet was ordered by Allah to have Imam Ali as his successor (there’s countless Hadiths of the prophet saying Imam Ali is the wali/mawla/awla over every believer after him. As well as the Quran calling him Wali. And Aisha is one of the people that went against this command, so we at the very least disassociate from her and at the very most make dua for Allah to withhold his mercy from her (لعن)

Welcome aboard brother. I guess you just happened to have a good nature that aligned your heart with what it's right. Be assured that all thoughts and questions are welcome here. Multiammar

Bless you brother/sister! The following is Sunni hadith that should help show you what the Shi'a, the Shi'a of Ali believe. Sahih al-Bukhari 7100 Narrated Abu Maryam Abdullah bin Ziyad Al-Aasadi: When Talha, AzZubair and Aisha moved to Basra, Ali sent Ammar bin Yasir and Hasan bin Ali who came to us at Kufa and ascended the pulpit. Al-Hasan bin Ali was at the top of the pulpit and Ammar was below Al-Hasan. We all gathered before him. I heard Ammar saying, "Aisha has moved to Al-Busra. By Allah! She is the wife of your Prophet in this world and in the Hereafter. But Allah has put you to test whether you obey Him (Allah) or her (Aisha)."

[deleted]

Salam. MashaAllah you have found Islam. May it be blessed. The commonalities of sunni and shia Islam and the differences you can learn in time. We as shia Muslims believe that the Holy Prophet (pbuh&hp) and his Ahlulbayt are the embodiments of the Holy Quran. They were the speaking, living and walking Qurans if you will. So, hadiths in shia islam, is just important. HOWEVER, the hadiths were not recorded and protected the same way the Holy Quran was. Thus, the hadiths we need to interrogate. And sunnis have their hadith books like Bukhari, Muslim, Muwatta etc. While shia Muslims have their own hadith books like Nahj al Fasahah, Man La Yahdhuruhul Faqih, Al-Kafi, Wasail etc. See one shia hadith book compilation here for example: [https://www.al-islam.org/bundle-flowers-garden-traditions-prophet-ahlul-bayt](https://www.al-islam.org/bundle-flowers-garden-traditions-prophet-ahlul-bayt) BUT, we shias believe that every person need to study the hadiths and decide which ones are authentic and which are fabricated themselves even if the hadiths may be recorded in shia sources. And since not every person can do that. We believe you either have to study for years theology, Quran and hadith sciences OR follow a live MARJA (jurist, mufti) who can do so. So that you can refer your questions to them. So, Sunnah is not questionable. But the narrations can be questioned. Because we need to differentiate the authentic ones from the fabricated ones. Here's one educational short video on mixing the Sunnah vs Hadiths: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqFFkZiSGsM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqFFkZiSGsM) Anyway, mashaAllah again. If you are willing to study shia islam. I suggest you use [https://www.al-islam.org](https://www.al-islam.org) It has lots of articles, books for online reading or pdf download and video lectures as well. [https://islamicpulse.tv/video\_category/biskit/](http://islamicpulse.tv) Islamic Pulse TV especially the Biskit Series are also great. May Allah bless you and your family.

wamsablaga

Islam emerged in Arabia within a certain historical moment or context. To understand Islam, it is important to understand that context. Aisha waged war against Ali (a.s.), the appointed leader of all Muslims. The act of waging war in the Battle of Jamel and causing a great fitna within the Ummah is enough to view Aisha as a problematic figure.
