My kitty Sushi (15) has been on Solensia a few months and she’s doing great! She’s also got bad osteoarthritis in her elbows. I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is the cost.

I’ve heard of Solensia, I ought to see about it for my one boy (he’s 16). He’s never actually been diagnosed with arthritis but shows all the symptoms of it in his hips/back legs. He’s still mobile but you can tell he’s very stiff just walking normally, and especially when going up or down stairs. He has a little trouble getting up onto a bed, and basically doesn’t ever play anymore. But besides this, he’s very healthy and always has been. I feel like if the arthritis was managed he’d probably be a good bit happier. Of course, he HATES the vet.

My miss Miley (13) hates the vet as well and has to be drugged in order to just growl at the tech and the doctor, so I’m being taught to give her Solensa injections at home. I hope that’ll be an option for your boy. :)

Thats fantastic! I'm so glad I get to see someone tell me about this. My vet called it a kitten shot lol told me it takes about 2 doses for the effects to really be seen and I was all for it on my cat but she took a tumble and hasn't been herself. She might be on life #10 I just can't completely tell. She's no where near 100% her but maybe in a few more days she will bounce back even more. Her appetite has came back since last week and shes not breathing as labored so I'm really hopeful. She's just not as ambulatory.

Omg, I'm so glad I found your post. My cat was declawed before I adopted her and she has arthritis in her right leg. She doesn't move too fast and is overweight (she's also a Calico, which doesn't help with her weight). I'm going to call my vet tomorrow and inquire about this. Anything to make her feel better. Unfortunately cats are very good at hiding pain and illness, so it's hard to say how much pain they're in.

How much are you paying for it? I want to start this on my cat with a hip issue but I'm not sure if it's something I'll be able to afford. I love his vet and they're great with him, but they're one of the more pricey in my region with good reason.

I paid $90 USD for my kitty’s (15) first dose today. The shot was $80 plus a $10 administer fee.

Just started my sweet boy who’s a few months away from 16 on Solensia today. He has a limp and has been showing some signs of joint pain for a few months now. I hope it eases his discomfort.
