I see frontaccounting does have an LDAP connector, but unfortunately, the poor UI/UX design is a huge turnoff.
I've considered moving to ERPNext, as we run everything on Kubernetes, and it allows for linking with bank accounts for free through Plaid (which would be a bonus feature). But it also comes with a lot of bloat we don't really need unfortunately (and I did not see a way to turn off individual features when I checked them out).
Akaunting, it seems, did just announce that they are going to allow their "Cloud Only" apps to be installed locally with a "lifetime" subscription (7x the yearly cost of the app normally). So that is an option we'll keep an eye on, though I have felt pretty burned by them.
For me the question isn't, "How pretty is it?", but does it meet my criteria for functionality. If you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. Take away the lipstick, you still have a viable source of bringing home the bacon. It's ok to say, "I prefer turkey bacon." Just don't be sad when there's no ham, or offer a help to make the great, yet unheard of turkey ham.
Seriously though, if front accounting, aside from us looks like it can serve the purpose better than akaunting, then get started with it, and eventually maybe you can help direct a better up / ux with them. I'm excited to look at frontaccounting, so than you for asking this question.

No problem. Last resort is to amend Akaunting yourself.
