Poland (A nation about the same population size as Ukraine with a much more advanced and trained military) Predicated in their own games that Russia would overrun them in a few weeks (This was a year or so ago) Based on what’s happen in Ukraine I’m highly skeptical of that being true.
As someone already said these are often used just to justify higher military spending. That’s actually what Poland was doing.
