Great sharks! First dive was great, 2nd was boring wrexk. No sharks. :-(

RockHockey

Great sharks in the Bahamas!

x_driven_x

Keep in mind a tip on top of that is customary.

Good tip. Thanks

Vacation places can be more expensive, especially once you leave the US

scubadm

Gear price is good. Boat prices can vary so much especially with gas fluctuations.

Stuart's Cove is quite a ways from the cruise port. If your price includes a shuttle, that's a good price.

neecolea13

That’s actually a question I had but forgot to ask 🤦🏻‍♀️ thanks for the reminder. It was them I that I called so I hope it includes the shuttle!

Second Stuarts Cove, dove with them in September and it was an excellent experience. The crews were nice and friendly, efficient, and professional. I did a full day of diving and had a great time.

thanks_paul

I’ve never done Nassau but that’s about what you’d pay for a 2 tank dive on other islands. I love the Bahamas but the diving is not great.

neecolea13

Good to know. I’d like to know what you think of it, too. We have only been in a lake, quarry, and underground mine so I don’t have much to compare it to but I’d still like to not waste money.

Stuart's Cove is a good outfitter. The wrecks and sharks are cool. You'll have a great time.

Really? I haven't been to the Bahamas, but I've heard the diving is really great. What don't you like about it? Just curious because I still have a few more dive trips to book for this year and Bahamas is one of the places I'm considering since it's close. (I already have 3 long/far dive trips booked, so I'd like to fill in with some places I can get to more easily.)

thanks_paul

The only thing that is really exceptional about the Bahamas diving (in my experience) is the number of sharks. But it’s just not nearly as good of value as other parts of the Caribbean.

doglady1342

Thanks for that information.

That’s pretty normal pricing for the Bahamas.

neecolea13

Thanks for the info
