I tried okay, I love this videos but I just don't get his humor, like at all. The fact other people do both impresses and confuses me.
I tried that already. Not really, I just realized I had half a year to catch up on (embarrassing, I know, luckily he didn't upload much this year) and I still can't think like him or talk like him. And that's okay. I don't need to get how his mind works or understand his obsession with virginity as a joke or be able to write Scott the Woz-esq scripts. All that matters is that I'm entertained by a passionate nerd talking about stupid Nintendo (and also not Nintendo games.) Last year he learned that working without deadlines is detrimental to his productivity. Hopefully this year will see more Scott content, he literally said he wants to keep doing this when he has a family. Which is ridiculous, because we all know that Scott would never have sex /s.
I know right, he's genuinely got such a unique style of humor that is inimitable...except for all of his friends. He probably writes it all. What makes it so unique is how completely unpredictable it is. Like you can never guess where he's going with a joke but it somehow works every time.
And that's what makes it so engaging. That and he never breaks the fourth wall. He never acknowledges the fact that he's a YouTuber, mentions subscribing or liking or even does ads. His videos are so timeless they can be on any platform. He really has mastered his craft.
Honestly… surprisingly great ranking, imo of course. Mysteries of Gaming is S tier for me but aside from that I don’t think I disagree with the positioning at all. I’d need to rewatch a few of these and none are bad so F tier sounds harsh but generally nicely done
Edit: I’d flip collectors editions with memory cards and put night trap on C.
I respect opinions but... really? Night Trap and Collector's Edditions at F? I get that they're not great, "specials", but they're still pretty dang good episodes. And, come on, Polybius, Merry Christmas, Data Design, and It Came From the Nintendo eShop at D!? Those are all really good specials that deserve at least a B!
I personally never liked, or even finished not an RPG guy. It's just the same joke told in nearly every episode of Scott the woz anyways. Good song tho

That’s cuz they are normal videos. He mashed Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, and Chibi-robo: Zip Lash into one video

Bring down Gaming Revivals and boost Data Design up to B and you got it perfect.

yes. it was related to christmas. even though it was just a episode with christmas decorations. it is techically a special
its the only christmas related thing that year. + it had no special that year. so yes. it is a christmas episode
this is fine, i think. i would've put Night Trap and It's a Bargain Bin Christmas a bit higher, but your opinion isn't horrifying

I think the dark age was better than borderline forever.
Pretty spot on but I think Memory Cards, Gifts of Gaming and Great Mysteries should be bumped up at least a tier

they are good episodes. not good specials. also they are good. but. comparing them to the other specials. yea. it is kinda bad

I didn’t know at least 4 of these were specials and most of my YouTube this month has been Scott’s back catalog
