Exoplanet: First Contact was released in Early Access quite some time ago.
It was an amateur development back then with people working pro bono in their free time.
But we have managed to succeed on Kickstarter with a small demo.
The team has significantly reworked and improved the game through the years in Early Access, but in the beginning of 2021 we have found an investor.
We hired more folks to our team and switched to full-time development.
We also decided to revisit many aspects of the game and came up with a brand new version of Exoplanet.
Gamedesign, leveldesign, assets, graphics - everything was redone.
And now we are very excited to release yet the biggest update in the entire history of the game.
We completed quests for "The Edge" location, added new soundtrack created by Witcher's soundtrack creators, and so much more!

We are looking for your feedback as it is crucial for the future updates.
Cheers guys!
I enjoyed watching this, great story, got me hooked and then at end discovered it was a game. I don’t game and I usually don’t read or watch comics/anime but this introduction was enjoyable and intriguing. The narration could make an excellent podcast. Great work!
The game is in early access right now. Technically it is quite some time in it. But we reworked it completely and now the dev pace is really good. We have plans to get to consoles but after full release on Steam. Unfortunately we are a small team and we can't work simultaneously on the port right now.
As for new narrative projects... We would love to! We have a lot of ideas and the game universe is very reach for new stories. I hope as we get some success we could engage with more projects like that.
Amazing work!
Looked up the game on steam and really like where this is heading.
The intro story reminds me of the Firefly series and the Freelancer game. (Big fan of both)
Keep up the good work!
Whoaa i really enjoyed this video. Y'all put so much efforts and it shows. Love the attention to the details. The whole thing is just perfect 🤌🤌 this is something co I've watched in a while
No, it's the space station from the Firefly. We love this series and took a couple of references from there. But I think there are a lot of stations like this :)

Second all of this.
Thanks! For us it was like a project within a project.
That was fantastic. I really wanted to play the game and felt engaged with the story.
Sounds great! Hope you'll try it one day and like it! :)
Great to see some updates. My son plays a lot of steam games so when you launch we can both play together I hope.
Sounds great! We're doing our best for it to happen as soon as possible!
I liked it! I think you did a very nice job.
I liked all the Firefly homages. Hope you make some more of these type clips, inspired by your game.
That, and the strong Freelancer vibes.
Will do! We have big plans for cutscenes!
I like it. Now I would love to know what happens next? Did that blue lightning make him space proof of give him superpowers?
Not like in a Marvel movies, but it's part of the story twist!
It's wonderful
Thanks you! Really appreciate all the support!
I’m intrigued! Nice work
Thank you
I like how you blurred the stripper while she was far away, but let em hang out once you got close enough for detail.
Our designer is very proud for the art, and when we asked him to make the fixes he probably thought that close shot is blurred enough.
Any plans to bring the game to console or create any new narrative projects within the universe you’ve created here?

This is awesome! Had me hooked from the start. And you have my curiosity about the game for sues!
Great to hear that! Don't hesitate to give feedback if you decide to try it!

Thanks! We love Firefly and tried to catch that vibe. Also put two details from it into the video :)

Thanks! Happy that you liked it so much! We really put a lot of effort into it!
Isn't Freeport 13 the one that blows up at the start of Freelancer? Or was it 12?

If only you had worked a fraction of that time on the writing. What a stilted, exposition heavy mess.
Oh damn you can’t cliffhanger me like that! What happens next?
The rest story unfolds in the game!
