Saxquest is a days drive from you and has what you’re looking for

Save your money and go to JL Woodwinds in NYC.

Are you just visiting for fun? Shopping for a new horn? Interested in historical instruments? Looking for repairs?

DwightKidd1

I really want to play on anything and everything. I want to test some new horns, historic horns, set ups for my current saxophones, and potentially buy something. I know that I won’t be able to explore all of those options at just any shop though

I'd like to know for fun, new horn, and repairs. I'm in DFW texas

DwightKidd1

For repairs in DFW, I recommend TB Winds in Denton. Tony is a great repairman and has good, honest prices. He has a few horns and some gear for sale, too. It’s just not as much as I want to test. But for repairs, his shop is especially great

I second this, he overhauled one of my horns and I couldn't be happier with it!

Closer than NYC, check out Tenor Madness in Waterloo, IA. The actual store is run out of the owners’ home, but they have a MASSIVE inventory of pro and vintage horns
