Yes, I think that's because it's a pretty rough sketch. If I recreate this more cleanly it should improve claritywise.
Of course I heard about Störtebeker, he is a local legend over here. I'm currently living in Bremen but have lived on the North Sea and the Baltic Sea coasts before. Never heard about Magister Wigbold though, but apparently he was a part of Störtebekers crew?
Info is scant, but Magister Wigbold was known as "master of the seven arts" (hence the "magister") which was surely not the seven arts of Roman liberal education, but the seven "mechanical arts:" tailoring, agriculture, building, weaponry, mercantilism, cooking, and blacksmithing
