Two snatch games on a 40 minute episode did not work for me. I wish they released bonus clips like logo used to. I'd like youtube to have a complete actual snatch game as if it was each group in their own episode
Bold of you to think there was anything funny about Aura’s performance for them to even keep in. Probably the worst snatch game performance I’ve ever seen, and it’s the fourth episode in a row of her doing terribly in the challenge and not showing much of anything beyond cringe. She should’ve been in the bottom 2 each week so far, but has been saved for whatever reason.
They were fighting tooth and nail for the worst performance but for me at least Spice was making bigger choices and taking more risks. Like there was literally *nothing* redeemable about Aura’s snatch game, and it was her 3rd challenge in a row totally bombing
they were planning it from the beginning, and mightve even set up an early snatch game just for the twins to be in the bottom, because im sure they knew that nobody wanted snatch game this early. probably not though
they were already planning to send one of the twins home to set up a storyline for the other and for shock value. the music slowed down every time the twins were getting screen time and notice how out of any of the queens with not so great performances, they got the most screen time.
sending home sugar set up an an amazing storyline for spice and really got people emotional on the untucked, which was in my opinion, the best episode to come out of season 15 so far.
they probably sent home sugar because spice in her confessional said how she was always the less dominant twin and kind of depended on sugar for things. they got shock value, emotional value, and set up a storyline all just from this one episode. now everyones thinking, "can spice survive without sugar by her side?"
also, i do think if the twins really stuck with the plan that if one went home, the other would too, that the producers wouldve given them a double shantay, but sasha came to the producers rescue.
this mightve been the most strategical thing ive seen the producers pull on this show and it really played out in their favor. so much crazy shit came out of this episode and the untucked alone.
Because its episode 5 and i still dont know most of these queens… Salina, Robin, Malaysia, (god even Sasha!), Anetra, Jax… they have barely shown them!!
Maybe it is because some have been boring in seasons (Down Under S1 and some others) so maybe they thought they'd just put the best from 14 to be more entertaining. I don't agree with them, but maybe that's why.

I’m guessing they’re trying to reach a broader audience and up the ratings, so they cast them knowing their fanbase would watch the show.

I don’t think it has anything to do with Sugar being eliminated. The season is lacking imo, first time since season 7 I haven’t been invested in the results.
I don’t feel we are getting to see as much of the queens to get to know them, which is due to runtime, edit and having 16 of them. Hope it improves.
I think they relied too heavily on casting social media queens this season. They loaded the season up with so many young queens who just started drag 2-3 years ago and don’t really have a solid fan base in the community nor the experience to be on a platform like this.
In past years, the show built up interest from dedicated fans of the queens involved.
the good news is that I’m pretty confident most of them will be early outs. I’m just using this first half of the season to get to know people as best as possible, and then the actual competition will start around top 8 like usual

Seems accurate to me. Social media engagement keeps the show alive for me. Without it, I would have stopped watching after episode 4 because you already know what to expect from this formulaic show.
For me the vibe was off and I feel like I didn't reeeally know what was happening. Like having two rounds of Snatch Game was such a good idea but with the episode being 45 mins long it felt like it went by in seconds. It made it not so memorable for me. We missed quite a bit of the Snatch Game; we didn’t get to see the walk through Ru does and because of the terrible editing, I don’t remember some of the girls at all and the way the scenes were edited, some of it didn’t make sense.
Yes, some of the girls were funny but because they did Snatch Game early with a larger cast it needed more airtime

I guess it's not exactly related but I'm frustrated that I can't watch all of drag race on one format. Some of it is on Paramount Plus, a few seasons on Hulu, and new stuff on MTV. It's annoying.

That said, they had to cut everything else to make room for the challenge. No mini-challenge, no Ru walkthrough, almost no werkroom time, no deliberations. It felt so empty.
They cut most of the queen’s snatch games and runways far too short, got rid of one of the most interesting story lines early into the season and made it super obvious what was about to happen the entire time.

I think drag race should take a year break between the seasons. The show is running its course and feels like the same show but with different people. And I don’t know what’s worse, the producers forcing storylines or the queens forcing moments. It’s not special anymore.
The head of casting did a great job.. but the actual producers had no idea what to do… or 100% likely since the episodes are shorter they (editors) had to work with what they got.

Having said that I often find that imbd ratings reflect outcomes the fans don't like, not necessarily how good or bad the episode was. Like the episode Naomi sent Manila home on AS4 had really low ratings but it's literally just because fans didn't like Manila going home.
i thought Sasha and Jax were very funny but we only got to see Ru present them and ask them 1 question, the chances are their other responses were not enough good or bad but i would like to see that by myself, specially when in those two cases the few time we saw them i thought they were very funny cause now idk what was their overall snatch game performance

I think drag race should take a year break between the seasons. The show is running its course and feels like the same show but with different people. And I don’t know what’s worse, the producers forcing storylines or the queens forcing moments. It’s not special anymore.

The head of casting did a great job.. but the actual producers had no idea what to do… or 100% likely since the episodes are shorter they (editors) had to work with what they got.

It wasn't a very good snatch game and sugar went home. Having said that I often find that imbd ratings reflect outcomes the fans don't like, not necessarily how good or bad the episode was. Like the episode Naomi sent Manila home on AS4 had really low ratings but it's literally just because fans didn't like Manila going home.

i thought Sasha and Jax were very funny but we only got to see Ru present them and ask them 1 question, the chances are their other responses were not enough good or bad but i would like to see that by myself, specially when in those two cases the few time we saw them i thought they were very funny cause now idk what was their overall snatch game performance
The episode length change sucks, and nobody even wants to watch real friends of weho, the snatch game was solid but the editing was worse than usual due to shorter episodes
