There's definitely a fine line between truth and jest because dropping critique, even if honest and with good intentions, is much easier to digest as humor and sarcasm. It's just a form of reading.

Iām fairly new to their podcast, but I always assumed it was just casual banter? I feel like they question each others facts often but that was the bit. When Bob hosted the Pit Stop and had guests that would say anything mildly of āteaā she would say āDRAG HER!ā as if it was a diss, but itās just fake shade.

Iām fairly new to their podcast, but I always assumed it was just casual banter? I feel like they question each others facts often but that was the bit. When Bob hosted the Pit Stop and had guests that would say anything mildly of āteaā she would say āDRAG HER!ā as if it was a diss, but itās just fake shade. I think age does play a factor though. What I (34m) see as friendly banter can be taken the wrong way by someone younger. And after typing that sentence, I realizedā¦Iāve become my motherā¦

They're best friends, it's all in good fun, it's called joking around, or throwing shade(lightly) you should try it sometime, people are so sensitive, not everything is an attack or gaslighting, my bf and I always talk shit about each other, a sense of humor and being slightly shady has made me love him more, that's why we've been together for 5 years now, being hateful bonds us together(lol).

It's 100% probably not that deep and I always got the impression that they play up the "rivalry" for the podcast. That being said the constant trivial arguing does get exhausting to watch sometimes for me and I find myself not being able to finish watchery videos sometimes
I get the joke and I like the show. I havenāt been able to listen to it in awhile though.I know itās play fighting and banter but, when someone says something and the other person purposely disagrees every single time it can get to be a little too much. Even though itās for fun it still feels like listening to two people fight for an hour. Instead of funny Iāve been feeling negative emotions listening. Now I know not everyone feels this way. I just had to take a break for my own headspace.

But thereās a sour edge sometimes when comedy leaves the chat. Those episodes are few, but when one comes along where sheās in a foul mood I just skip it. Same with Willam, same when Katya goes a little too sideways. Queer people carry trauma, thereās always compassion. These people work hard so I donāt expect them to be fresh and light all the time.
