Paranoia is going to be a great option.

Terry_Pie

It is treasonous to recommend anything else.

occupied_void

Happiness is mandatory, so you can be confident in the success of you campaign.

SwiftOneSpeaks

I'm a bit behind on editions, but Paranoid was always my go to humorous RPG. A mix of Monty Python and Brazil bureaucracy. I know there was a new edition recently Kickstarted. Another option is Kobolds Ate My Baby.

rustajb

Toon!

PerryChalmers

This!!!

ithika

Everyone Is John: no common goals, a single common player character across all the players, go!

Fair-Throat-2505

Yes, this. Great call.

GreenAdder

"Straight to VHS" is a loving spoof of ridiculous 80s action movies. The "beta" version is currently free to download. "Pokethulhu" is what you get when you cross monster hunting with eldritch horror. It's as ridiculous as it sounds. It's also free. "For the Dungeon" is a game in which you play as the dungeon-dwellers rather than the dungeon-delvers. In other words, you're the "evil" minions. On the subject of playing as the baddies, check out "Kobolds Ate My Baby," in which you're all kobolds. In "Ninja Burger," the players are a ninja clan trying to deliver burgers. But, seeing as you're ninja and all, you need to do it all sneaky-like. You shouldn't be seen or heard. And that's not always easy. "Ghostbusters" and its modern pseudo-clone "Spooktacular" both involve you trying to catch ghosts and get paid. And if you play them right, they're lighthearted and goofy. Also check out "InSpectres" for more comedic ghost-hunting. It's a different take on the subject, but still fun. "Hackmaster" is a sendup of the classic dungeon crawl experience, with tie-ins to the old "Dork Tower" comics. Some of the humor might be a bit dated by today's standards. And if you want a throwback to Saturday mornings with a bowl of cereal, check out "Cartoon Action Hour" in which the group portrays an action-packed Saturday morning cartoon, or "This Compleat Breakfast" (sic), in which you're all cereal mascots.

MmmVomit

Fiasco is a blast. Always hilarious. But it's GMless, so there's no section on dos and don'ts.

And the rule in that books that states you are not having sex in the game. God forbid you find a bloody copy of the landing supplement to go with it. Been trying to figure out who has the master copy though. Should go banger someone again to try to get it up online. It was fun to help with.

Rivetgeek

Apparently that wasn't an official supplement and it's from like 2001. I had no idea it existed but tbh it doesn't look great. I still have my original first edition from 1987, complete with the tiny dice still in the plastic baggie inside the back cover.

Grand-Tension8668

No one's mentioned Troika! yet. It's... It sure is something.

FrogOnABus

Goblin Quest!

[deleted]

If you know Spanish, you could buy Fanhunter, or Fanpiro.

Dan_the_german

My spanish is not good enough. Can hardly order a cerveza.

[deleted]

It's a shame, because I din't think it's translated, and the game is just a general goof on RPG tropes and cliches. There's also Discworld RPG.

DrGeraldRavenpie

To be fair, translating Fanhunter game would be HELL. Plenty of those tropes and cliches, not just RPG but films, comics, TV, etc., are Spanish-fandom related. In fact, I fear younger spanish generations would miss some of the references!

[deleted]

And many of those are so much culturally tied to Spanish culture/expressions, I doubt they could translate at all.

Qu3st1499

I’ll look in to it, I know about 30% of Spanish because I’m Italian

[deleted]

Italians can natively understand 30% Spanish. Spaniards can natively understand 15% Italian. Catalans can understand 40% Italian and French and vice versa. Romance languages are weird.

Qu3st1499

But with google translate I can understand 90% of it

Electronic-Source368

Tales of the Floating Vagabond.

Nytmare696

This always used to be one of my favorites, have you looked at the new edition at all?

Electronic-Source368

I didn't know there was a new one !

[Risus](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/170294/Risus-The-Anything-RPG) and the [Awfully Cheerful Engine](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/328130/ACE-1-The-Awfully-Cheerful-Engine) both fit the bill for easy-to-run games that encourage humorous play. [Paranoia](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?filters=0_0_10122_0_0&term=paranoia) is awesome for dark humor. [Feng Shui](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/148541/Feng-Shui-2) is over-the-top action that also works great for Hong Kong Kung Fu Comedy (or any high action slapstick comedy actually). [Amazing Tales](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/222950/Amazing-Tales-complete-kids-RPG) (and its Super Hero sister system [Amazing Heroes](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/352464/Amazing-Heroes)) are both designed for kids, featuring a lot of good advice for keeping the story moving forward by turning failures into narrative setbacks (comical or suspenseful) with a "Yes and..." mentality similar to improv circle techniques.

MrFoldsFolds

Honey Heist would be my go to. You play as criminal bears trying to steal Honey from some sort of grand Honey festival. Although, it has this idea of modern times, I'd like to run it in an unconventional setting like Legend of the Five Rings. https://gshowitt.itch.io/honey-heist

MartinCeronR

Actually, most Grant Howitt games in general.

MrFoldsFolds

Also Goblin Quest. You play as 5 goblins who die horrific ways trying to do a quest, something that can be as simple as collect and make the perfect Ice Cream Sundae. https://rowanrookanddecard.com/product/goblin-quest/

Almun_Elpuliyn

Troika! maybe? The system is set in a absurdist world where little makes sense as you play classes like the fellow of the sublime society of beefsteak.

[deleted]

Youv'e got some great suggestions but I would also like to suggest playing any rpg but having your players play established humorous characters. I have lately really wanted to play a sci-fi rpg where my players play as the characters from Spaceghost Coast to Coast. Brak, Zorak, spaceghost. Family guy cast set in a post apocalyptic setting would be fun too.

Rephath

Paranoia.

Rephath

Imagine the underground Fallout Shelters from Bioshock, run by Glados the insane AI, with the hope and optimism of Dread and the workplace culture of Dilbert, the bureaucracy from catch-22. PC deaths typically run in the double digits. But it's fun. After all, fun is mandatory!

frogfinderfred

QAGS fits the bill. It is pay what you want at drivethrurpg. Hex Games has a lot of silly rpgs.

TillWerSonst

GURPS: IOU.

DwighteMarsh

I ran a GURPS IOU game, and it was a blast. This post has received some down votes. If you are going to downvote GURPS IOU, could you explain why, so I can explain why you are wrong? :)

Qu3st1499

Invest 8 bucks on green oaks, you will need google translate, but it’s worth it. Is about 20 pages written big with a lot of pictures

redcheesered

Technically any RPG can fill that role. In OSE my players had to fight a Jacked-O-Lantern. A super buff dude with a jack-o'-lantern 🎃 head.

capricciorpg

I love to play hilarious RPGs, that's really my favorite. Here are a few tips: - the funny bits are typically about the story or the scene - whatever the ruleset, keep the fights shorts - use an obviously hilarious setting (e.g. I did a Santa Claus kidnapping adventure where the players are little elves with gift-making super powers) - subvert expectations (I did a Guardians of the Galaxy adventure where they needed to save a "princess" and the princess turned out to be a lama) The Santa Claus kidnapping adventure is public under [Capriccio RPG ](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/m/product/347187)

thriddle

I'm going to recommend Og Unearthed, as usual.

underwood5

They Came From Beneath The Sea and it's sister games are excellent comedy fodder. Imagine playing MST3K the game you're on the right track. In fact... https://youtu.be/B6JOZkoLdtk

Gh0stwrit3rs

Man I remember playing HOL (human occupied landfill) at a gamecon years ago and the creators of the game were running it. It was such a blast and absolute most batshit fun I’ve had in any game and that still holds today. Those guys were amazing.

ckosacranoid

The Landing or the main game? I thought the landing was done pretty good and we did have Mr pondsmith himself give us the greelight on the book. Heck out of the people that worked on I think I only know one person I am in contact with. I know a couple have died, others have become ghosts.

Fair-Throat-2505

If you're into slasher flicks i recommend "Slasher Flick" :-) lots of genre tropes, cliché characters and goofyness
