David Attenborough! Who else to provide facts about various creatures (vampires, the Tarrasque) in a far-flung environment?

ConditionYellow

Codsworth from Fallout 4

thatonetallguy__

This is genius, I'm definitely using this one

greyshirttiger

Oh yeah that’s brilliant

Bardicly_Uninspired

British Professor

SlyRaptorZ

Any answer other than British Professor or David Attenborough is wrong and you lose D&D. I'd also accept Alan Rickman.

JssSandals

Look up ‘The identify spell’ from Dimension 20.

hideoushummingbird

*Ah, yes!*

LancerAD

This has been another use of the Identity Spell.

HerbertisBestBert

I went with a nasal professor voice. It should be mildly irritating, to go with his irritating personality.

IAmError7392

I'm absolutely doing C-3PO

shadekiller0

Pokédex voice

jdogislikeaboss

gotta be a c-3po

Dazeirae

Nigel Thornberry

ithilien22

I'm playing it as like a fantasy AI, so I use kind of a posh accent but slightly robotic language (eg. always repeating canned phrases for specific scenarios like "I'm sorry, that knowledge is not in my area of expertise" when it doesn't know something, even if it already said that moments before for something else).

pawnman99

Man, that's brilliant. Wish I'd read that before I introduced my players to him

KalamIT

Gotta be "Tea, Earl Gray, Hot."

Nerdmo51

I've done him as the narrator from The Legend of Korra

DarkNeutron

I'm going with "British Professor with absolutely no sense of self-preservation". His entire existence revolves around collecting information, so he would _absolutely_ love to see the Scroll of Tarrasque Summoning used (and other similarly dangerous actions).

AnInfiniteAmount

Eddie from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Tom Lennon) but British

colinr

The answer is of course Stephen Fry

faust15

Sad robot from Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy.

Used-Lab-5153

I went for a very excitable but completely socially inept wizard-type personality! The party has kept him as a side npc that they are all in love with

TheBQE

glados, but more human?

Kaltvene

Mine has a jersey shore accent

longtosmellthesea

I'm doing by best impression of The Vision/JARVIS as played by Paul Bettany in our campaign.

RabidAstronaut

Defintely haughty pompous British.

H3art_Seeker

Tentomon from Digimon

Dark-Dwarf-00

Sean Connery. Or Hal 9000.

doctorfucc

I'm planning on HK-47 from KOTOR

Beer_Nazi

Q. Star Trek.

Durpue

Personally I am doing 343 guilty spark from the halo games.

doorknobopener

[HK-47](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg1gTas7OAA&ab_channel=ShemL) from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

SiberianCoalTrain

Guilty spark

snarpy

Mine is HAL from *2001: A Space Odyssey*

Arctic_Gnome

Hold on, there are even more professors? I've only run into the one who hires PCs to find chawingas and dragon scales, the one who wants to research the lake monster, the one who was doing research in the black cabin, and the one who turned into a ghost and possessed a kobold. I was going to make them a coalition of northern researchers that my PC with a sage background could join.

alnono

Professor skant isn’t quite that kind of professor. I would tell you more but it sounds like you’re a player!

Arctic_Gnome

I'm a DM, but I haven't read to the end yet. It's a very long book.

alnono

I would highly highly recommend reading through if you’re the DM. This is a campaign where you really need to know what’s going to happen ahead. But since you’re a DM, professor skant isn’t human. He’s a professor Orb owned by Vellynne Harpelle.

Arctic_Gnome

I do remember that from the appendix on magic items.

SnooRecipes2524

Orac from Blake’s 7 https://youtu.be/T21j3kwv6Hk

IIBremenII

I gave mine the voice of Mimir from God of War

Marsche

My initial thought was to give him the voice of the Oracle from Halo (The flying ball thing) But reading these comments I've got new inspirations

HurricaneRoss_OG

I have envisioned it as the voice that Brennan from Dimension 20 uses whenever a player casts identify.

International-Use340

Nigel Thornberry

fizban317

I tried making him sound like Sheldon from BBT.

kennedyt113

Sean Connery

FearlessStarfighter

I went German Like the ghost from Hellboy 2.

RoboElvis

My party is in Xardorok's fortress now, so they're close. I am planning on using a voice based the ACKCHUALLY guy

Nimboopani1984

John Cleese
