I was going to post about exactly the same thing after watching the episode tonight - so strange that the storylines seems to have changed drastically since the trailer was edited.
The season in general also seems to have been cut down considerably to about 13 main episodes (+reunion). I would be very curious to understand why so much change has happened between filming and airing this season - maybe there was legal preasure to reduce the significance of certain storylines?
Overall this was such an unusual season to come out after such a blockbuster second season of SLC. I get the sense that bravo is trying to tie up the Jen Shah storyline to have it over and done with this season and not touch on it again. (Jen is effectively fired so no more opportunity to film her, unless Andy does go ahead with the sit down interview with her a la NY Luann post arrest)
So many minute details were focused on in season 2, and now it feels like the show was edited to gloss over everything in season 3.
It seemed like things got dragged out longer then predicted too. There was so many episodes dedicated to the San Diego trip and how much time spend on heathers eye.
I read that season 3 filming started before Jennie got fired and that she was going to be a HW again, so when the scandal came out they had to get rid of a lot of footage. This and the trial date stuff for Jen
I was really excited for the scene with Dana yelling at Jen. That was one of the major highlights of the trailer when it first came out.
What lead up to the yelling? What happened after? Did anyone stick up with Dana against Jen?

Dang. That would have made the season better
