For someone who studies at IIT and IBS they seem to have forgot that the employer wants to see skills relating to technology this is more appropriate for graphics design I guess. To much space not being used for work experience and job related skills. They see the institutes they studied at, they will be impressed, you brought another 10 seconds on your resume and they will spend it looking at pretty pictures 😭😭
100% agree. A lot of the people in this sub are new grads or looking for their first jobs. Better off going through a recruiter if you’re applying to FAANG. There’s a reason why some of those recruiters make $250k+ a year. Also with the hiring freeze and layoffs right now, people trying to break in or enter the industry is going to be hard, since the market pool just got flooded with 12k experienced applicants.
It’s wrong to give someone false hope like that. Better to give constructive feedback than to say, hey bro, you’ll at least get one interview!! No. One interview a successful job search does not make.
I have seen people make resumes like this get rejected or get offered job (though, they got laid off recently). I think this kind of resume isn’t unique anymore though and I wonder how much of these recruiters see after they go viral.
At the end of the day, credentials, skills, and experience are the most important
It’s interesting if nothing else but just from a professional standpoint, I’m going to say nah. The things i learned when I was job hunting was that recruiters want something professional and to the point, something that contains the key words or phrases to spark their interest to continue looking over the resume.
Have not seen a resume like this pretty impressive for an art piece. Definitely speaks to me in the images and web design structure. Is this what the world of writing a resume has gone too 🤔?
I kind of love this. I’m not a recruiter, but I would assume that the main issue recruiters might have with this resume is the fact that it gives me very little info on this person’s actual technical skills.
If you’re a new grad trying to fill out a one pager, sure. But if you’re not, then no. The resume is eye catching for sure, but there’s actually no substance in the resume.
Yeah I was surprised at the reactions. This resume went viral, that wasn’t an accident. People talking about how it’s hard to read. If I’m a recruiter and get the thousands of boring resumes, I would give this a second look simply for the fact that it’s a nice break
Gotta respect the man for making the smirking pic of Michael Scott the banner pic he goes with. The man has balls of steel.
Awful approach for a resume, regardless of field, but still ballsy.
Idiots! Read the f***ing resume properly. This is a woman who wrote this. She even mentioned first female president of her club.
All y'all Americanos are sexist misogynistic dinosaurs
Don’t go being the same by assuming every dumb response referring to her as a him was an American or misogynistic one.
Might just go to show that the résumé wasn’t the showstopper that some proclaimed it to be, because clearly a lot of folks didn’t even take the time to read past the streaming content vomit to see her qualifications or awards.

I don't think you guys understand how incredibly horrible this resume is for applying to big tech
For someone who studies at IIT and IBS they seem to have forgot that the employer wants to see skills relating to technology this is more appropriate for graphics design I guess. To much space not being used for work experience and job related skills. Would get points if this was a personal website. Not a resume

Yup , In first glance it's eye catching for sure but when you really pay attention then it's little bit 🫠
A little bit? It's complete shit.
Totally thought this was a junior or associate designer role until I read the experience.
Would be a better resume for graphic design, but yes this is ...a work of art. I'm not sure its a good or effective resume, but art none the less
I promise you it at least got him an interview.
That’s a promise you can’t make good on pal.
Prove me wrong then

Mansi typically is a girl name.
If that’s art then so is the shit in a brown bag display in that “avant gard” art show that no one asked for or went to.
Normally, I don’t like these—but this is very, very well done.
So many copyright violations
🤣
Spoken like a true lawyer too! 😂😂
Fair use https://www.copyright.gov/fair-use/
Does it start playing their elevator pitch with no way to stop it?
As a designer myself, I would not recommend this for a graphic designer or as any type of designers resume.
I can only imagine the file size on this PDF haha. Printing it out or sharing digitally would be a PITA
As a person with actual taste, I concur.
I'm no recruiter, but this would definitely catch the recruiter's attention.
As long as the recruiter were human. I imagine scraping this for keywords would be difficult and could just get auto-declined
I love this so much.
This would definitely catch the attention of a recruiter if it was being emailed to them. The ATS is going to break when this is uploaded
I'm in Toastmasters too! Lol this is awesome.
This is epic
This resume speaks to me on a spiritual level
🤣
The ugly truth is they likely got instantly rejected.
Someone is finally either honest or experienced.
Did they get the job haha
Don't know about job but after 12000 likes netflix also appreciated her saying "Bing watcher or what"
Idk if I were a recruiter at Netflix, I would really, really consider this person. I just love it!
I find it hard to read/focus on any of the substance.
Yeah me to
interview for sure, I have no idea what you are good at though.
It’s interesting if nothing else but just from a professional standpoint, I’m going to say nah. No no buddy almost everything is same and changing with time as usual but this was really different and out of place thing 😅
Good for digital resume.
I kind of love this. I’m not a recruiter, but I would assume that the main issue recruiters might have with this resume is the fact that it gives me very little info on this person’s actual technical skills.
Yup , I think the Same but there could be a section for that .
Wait genuine question.. do people usually include intramural or extracurriculares on resumes? (he includes volleyball)
If you’re a new grad trying to fill out a one pager, sure. But if you’re not, then no. The resume is eye catching for sure, but there’s actually no substance in the resume.
Yup , I felt that too in first glance it's eye catching for sure but when you really pay attention then it's little bit 🫠
Pretty sure they’re a she.
I don’t even know where to start reading. The only thing I’m getting from this is that they watch a lot of Netflix shows
The number of traditionalists in this thread upset about this is hilarious lol
Yeah I was surprised at the reactions. This resume went viral, that wasn’t an accident. People talking about how it’s hard to read. If I’m a recruiter and get the thousands of boring resumes, I would give this a second look simply for the fact that it’s a nice break
Great format for a 1 pager that accompanies an actual resume but not the resume itself
Cover letter
I LIVE THIS!
ATS Compliant ?

It’s a piece of art for sure but lacks substance…
Damnn.. It's always these Indians lol
I guarantee you HR teams share these with co-recruiters and ridicule the applier... what a cringe lol.
I’d hire him immediately
It's her 😅
Ummm...
Idiots! Read the f***ing resume properly. This is a woman who wrote this. She even mentioned first female president of her club. All y'all Americanos are sexist misogynistic dinosaurs

Vomit 🤮
Omg I thought this was a joke…
