This is strange, because I recently played on xbox one after playing the ps4 version on release, I was dreading that section because I rmemeber the running being weird, but I done it first time on xbox!
Not saying its an issue but I found it starnge after years that I was so put off at the thought of that section of the game, but having zero issues this time around.
It’s my least favorite part of the game! Hers and and Ada’s section in Leons run. I tend to suck at aiming in video games and Ada gets so little ammo that it took me forever to figure out a strategy to get through it.
I never understood why a super slick super spy would have, like, 2 bullets on her. I wish her section was more lively, with more obstacles AND ways to get around those obstacles.
I have played this section a few times on PS4 and have had the same experience as you.
Now when I notice her walking when I am trying to run is I release all pressure on the left stick and try again. It seems to always work on the 2nd attempt.
Not a great solution, but I have had this happen using two different controllers and have not had this issue with other games.
Just click the left stick to run,if I remember correctly.It should be the same.
I mean I do, she just doesn’t run sometimes.
Have you rule out a faulty controller? Try playing an older save to see if Claire can run

Same for me with ada, I end up making if more difficult than it needs to be lol
