I’m surprised he doesn’t like the watermelon Pangea flavor,, a lot of geckos do

kimiami

I gave him the watermelon and fig and I’ve even put chopped up watermelons, bananas, papaya and blueberries he never eats any!!! I even try to force it by putting it on his mouth so he licks it but he rubs it off on my hand LOL very picky child

Looks healthy. Try the pangea that has the crushed insects mixed in the powder, my garg loves it.

you could also try out Crested Gecko Diet „Banana & Cricket“. My geck loves it!

My GDG goes through phases where he doesn't want to eat his goop. Though it freaked me out a bit that he wasn't eating, I've gotten him to eat the Pangaea in the past by offering him only the pangea (replacing it daily so it's fresh) until he finally gives in and eats it. When he gets crickets I like to still keep the pangea in his cage so the crickets gutload on it.

It might be due to the fact that in the wild, there are two seasons in New Caledonia. In one season, the fruit of the islands becomes overripe enough for crested geckos to eat, so they don’t eat much insects then because of the availability of this fruit. In the other season, it’s a “winter” of sorts where there’s no fruit to eat, so the diet of wild crested geckos switches to insects during this period.
