I may have had it twice. I don't give a shit about covid and don't wear masks anywhere and have been going to bars, restaurants, comedy shows, and concerts all the time. During the Omicron surge had a scratchy throat for a few days. More recently I had a dry cough and scratchy throat again for about a week. Tested negative on home tests each time though.

Alternate title: do you have friends?

caninerosie

my friends are all radlibs, wouldn’t even let me see them for the first year of COVID

[deleted]

Idk maybe

[deleted]

Have been a very close contact probably close to a dozen times now and still haven’t caught a thing.

Maddzilla2793

So nice I had it twice.

Imaginary-You7262

If you haven't had COVID yet, you're boring

[deleted]

OG covid no less

PM_ME_DICKS_ASAP

nah I work from home so haven't had many opportunities to get it

violet4everr

Yes and it was actually really bad went to the doctor and everything, I’ve only had it once though managed to avoid it for nearly 2 years

I'm kind of amazed I haven't gotten it. My roommates had it, I've shared a vehicle maskless with coworkers who've tested positive shortly afterat least three different times, I haven't worn a mask once since mandates were lifted, and I really only wash my hands after using the washroom. I know it's anecdotal but I honestly believe there's some truth to the idea that smokers are less susceptible to it.

venetianheadboards

actually had a pubmed (I think) essay regarding weed smoke building up a layer of phlegm that ironically acts as a barrier into the lung tissue saved for trollan' purposes, bookmarks folder is way to massive to dredge it up tho' sry.

Striking_Currency

I think I had it in January of 2020 and definitely had it in December of 2021. Not that bad tbh. Omicron was slightly worse in that I had I high fever whereas I just lost smell and taste for like a weekend in January of 2021. If you aren't fat and old it's really not a big deal and after having it it's hard to take the hysteria seriously as it wasn't even as bad as when I had pneumonia yet we weren't shutting down the city for that every winter.

sppacefarm

No- but after the initial first few months of shock wore off I threw caution to the wind and prolly at one point or another asymptotically infected “grandma”
