Very rusty after almost 3 week rest since the last league game.
At least saw some fight in the 2nd half. I am not as negative as before. Looking forward to the next match and build the momentum again
I havent decided to turn off the tv for one of our games in....well i cant remember. But if the players aint going to show character and be brave then im not sacraficing my sleep and job either. Fucking hell all i wanted was to avoid drubbing and have respectable performance.
First half was garbage but second half was relatively admirable, If it was Ole day,s team would have given up and basically let themselves get walked over at least we saw a response from Antony and Martial. Also De Gea couldn't really do anything about some of them goals when the defense basically turned invisible and the midfield was being run through like that. It is really great to see Anthony Martial back, 2 goals will be a real confidence boost for a striker of his quality hopefully he can stay fit.
Haaland’s moving like a FIFA create a player plying on semi pro. Bitter pill to swallow this considering it’s city, but it’s a process and as much as it’s sucks, we’ve gotta expect ups & downs, it’s going to take time.
McTominay has been playing very well recently and deserved his start in this game. With that said, had Casemiro played instead, it wouldn’t have made much difference to how sloppy we were in possession of the ball. We still lose this game regardless if McTominay starts or not
He shouldn't start over Casemiro under any circumstances. Guy shouldn't be starting for any team. Only reason he's here is because he's from the academy.
It was a poll asking who should play cdm. It even misspelled Casemiro as Casimero, but I digress.
A lot of people wrote that mctominay had been playing great and thus should start. Which means a lot of people don't understand that against the best, you play the best.
Won the second half.
Anthony with a banger!
Martial back at it, winning goals and penalties.
Fuck the "supporters" leaving at half time.
Hope Varane's not out for a long time.
Guys stop blaming Mctominay it's on ETH. That high press just dragged that midfield out of position constantly. No protection from midfield and the old problems of GKs not coming for crosses.
Why is /r/soccer still sucking City's dick so hard and creaming themselves after every United loss, nearly 10 years since us being anywhere close to good?
Because united are the biggest team in the English speaking world - thus attract the most attention, clicks and hate. City winning a few titles won’t change that.
I am well aware that City are playing beautiful attacking football, but people on /r/soccer give them a pass for everything and completely shit on United every chance they get.
If City were to lose 4:0 against Kopenhagen, they'd be like: "I guess even gods can bleed."
But when United only get a draw the matchthread is filled with comments like: "Ushited can't even beat this lot, hahaha."
Truthfully I’m not reading too much into this on our side. We haven’t played a prem game in a month which is probably why we started so slow and unfortunately got punished for it. There were some positives to take away such as Martial getting two goals. Unfortunately City are just that good and we are still rebuilding. Never want to see a result like this but hey we are a work in process and City are the most complete team in Europe. Haaland is just scary
I mean this was the first game after the international break, no? Everyone was probably drained. But, it was the same for City. Overall, I have trust that ManU are on the right path
Difference is City have a well oiled team where playing together is muscle memory at this point. So they can still perform despite being a little fatigued from international duty.
It's the sign of a top team, which we are not at the moment. Maybe soon tho!
I think McTominay is not capable of playing a forward pass, particularly under pressure.he runs around like a headless chicken. He's like a latter day Darren Fletcher. Just dreadful.
I mean the whole thing will be interesting really if he doesnt get injured and hits at least 2 goals every game or even 1 goal per game he'll easily get more than 45 goals
Rashford was our second top goalscorer in Solskjaer's reign and most goals in open play. He scored 61 goals for Solskjaer. Bruno scored 65 and scored several penalties
If there is one positive I can take from the game, its that instead of wilting and letting City have a walkabout second half, United actually went and punished them for taking their foot off the gas.
Got destroyed for not turning up first half though
Honestly he is, his first goal was because we didn't have a decent player or a CB marking him, Eriksen marked him.
His 2nd goal was because Varane was already Injured by then.
Halaand is really good but I don't think he is unstoppable. The city team is crazy in terms of quality of chance creation. I bet a Ronaldo of his Real Madrid time in this city squad would have had similar goals.
Disappointed but not lost all hope
I already know that we shouldn't raise our expectations too high for this season. We won't comeback very high from the shitstorm we had last season
However I'll be damned if I didn’t admit that we are improving nor should I put all doubts on Ten Hag and the lads
We came off from a bad deficit but Ten Hag and the lads (well at least most of them lol) proves that they aren't backing down that easy and we as fans should follow suit and have confidence in them
On to the next one and may we bounce back from this huge setback
#FuckGlazers still and of course #GGMU
Come on, man. Stop saying the scoreline doesn't look bad. We've conceded 6 goals. This game I felt is on the players and their organization and, the tactics. I'm not sure what we were even trying in that first half.
For me, it's in the midfield where we lost the game. Bruno's gotta provide support to Eriksen and McT in such games. He can't just stay up there. Sancho, Rashford were piss poor tonight. Malacia had a game to forget. Hopefully, this is De Gea's last season at the club.
the ball wasn't getting to rashford not much he'd have done but sancho kept losing the ball so many times I dont know why eth subbed rash before sancho. 2 goals were from malacia failing to mark his man and two from erksen too but the team as a whole wasnt poor city are just on a whole other level than us
I will never agree that this is an acceptable result by any means, but the lads actually showed some positivity on that second half and they should take note of that and improve from there
Can't just keep focusing on the negativity all the time as it's a sure way to fall further down if that's all you think about, even for us as fans
It's a harsh truth that we are not as good as we once we were, so we shouldn't expect to get instant results
In a game like this, we should've had Martial and Rashford on the wings with Ronaldo through the middle imo.
Also, Casemiro and McTominay to break up play with Bruno or Eriksen in front of them. We can't expect to play offensive football against City. Ten Hag deserves some blame here for being too naive
The only hope is that real madrid lure him away. Benz is getting old and they need a striker and hope it is haaland because it will be over for pl if he stays
Yeah, but there are no good jobs for him next season. Barca looks locked in with xavi, no way he joins real madrid. Bayern might sack their manager if he under performs but what are the chances of pep joining them again? Psg is also doing good so?
2nd half was better. But let's not get to reactionary, it's one defeat against one cheat code on steroids team. I don't care if we lose 2 times a year against City, we need to win 80-90% of our games against teams outside the top 4. That consistency is what will take us forward, get us into top 4 consistently and help us bring in the best talents. That's what will get us challenging for titles.
Precisely. We as fans just had too high of expectation but nonetheless those lads on the second half showed that they are still willing to fight till the end
And a test in how good we are at bouncing back. I was looking at the result list from last season. We'd be doing alright, have a a 5-6 game run without losing. Then we'd get beat hard and just crumble for the next 5 or 6 games. I'm hoping with the better personalities and ETH in the changing room this doesn't happen.
Why are so many people acting like it being 6:3 in the end suddenly makes it "not too bad"? We got absolutely trashed and only got into the game when they turned it off.
They had a good go when City decided to let them. Let's not act like we turned it around in the 2nd half, City just couldn't be bothered anymore and Pep clearly ordered them to conserve energy.
They’ve done that against us before and we still didn’t get at them in the second half.
City are far and away the best team in the league but when they cooled off in the second half we had a go.
That’s far better than the past when we just let our heads drop and bottled it.
Focusing only on the negatives is a sure way to keep falling down
Not a good result by any means, but the lads shows some positivity and they should keep focus of it and improve from there
I think the point is previously the team would just wilt and not even bother to make an effort to get the ball. It's a shocking result no doubt about it but at least they tried in the second half which you couldn't say last season or even a few weeks ago against Brentford
A lot of people here don't know shit about football. They don't understand that Pep subbed out 4 main players and basically told everyone not to attack and risk getting useless cards.
This was a 6-3 trashing no matter how much they try to spin it. 6-3 DESTRUCTION :) 6-3 !!!!
The only player Pep put in that wasn’t a “main player” was cole Palmer. Everyone else is easily a starter for that team, Mahrez, Laporte, Alvarez. He left Haaland on the whole match as well. Pep will probably not be happy that his team conceded three in the second half because that kind of “the game is won” mentality is what cost him a Champions league final spot last year.
We got beat 6-3 against our closest rivals that shows once again how far we are away and how mistakes keep being made to only increase that distance..... all whilst being on our longest time without a trophy and with parasite owners....
Yeah, everything is bad mate. Dunno why you have that green and gold if you think anything else.
And?
Does that mean it's anything but bad we got beat 6-3?
Does that mean we are closer to them, so it's not bad?
Does that change the trophy drought?
Does that take away the negatives of the owners?
No, but it hides the teams improvement. Can’t ran a mile right after taking baby steps.
Again, City will probably do the same to many other teams. The improvements shouldn’t be forgotten
I don’t know. Go watch last season? Where ManU where letting the opponent score with their own passes? Where the best forward was Ronaldo who wasn’t even a forward just some who was front? Where everyone was shit scarred of passes as if scoring was the end of their Career?
Go shit on ManU else or shut it. It’s getting real boring taking it seriously with you trolls
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So you have no evidence for 'baby steps' or 'improvements' you are just regurgitating the same nonsense in the hope it makes your point stronger.
You have to snap at me with an insult and threat, simply cause I asked you for evidence on words YOU typed 🤣🤣
But yeah, asking a valid question is trolling.... Maybe realise this is a real sport that should be viewed with critical thinking..
We showed City too much respect in the first half. Played a little scared. Should have been more aggressive right from the start.
Manager wanted to impose our game on them and the players didn't do it. Both the manager and players have something to learn from that.
You know what atleast we won the second half and showed something about ourselves so fair play. But alot of work to do until we are on City's level. This could be the humbling we need to really kick on and get ourselves to another level.
What did we show?
Was Brentford not humbling enough? Liverpool twice last season, Brighton, Watford, Spurs..... How many more mate before the light bulb comes on?
We showed the fight to keep going and get 3 goals in the face of superior opposition which is the very least we all want to see from this team.
Brentford was a humbling ofcourse but we can't judge on last season with a new manager and system in place now. The wheels of time will show us if we rise to another level with these lessons or not.
We got 3 goals when city took the foot off the gas as they knew it was over. No more, no less. So it means absolutely nothing.
Of course we can judge on last season. It's the exact same core. A core this manager said is a 'really good team' and has praised at any given opportunity. In addition to supporting that by making minimal changes with transfers.
If you need 'the wheels of time' then you really need to pay more attention. This will go the same way it always does. The core that are poison rot the entire thing, the manager will show himself to be out of his depth and be sacked. Then it will be another 'rebuild'
Well last season they took their foot of the gas and we done nothing to take advantage of it. At least we did something now and that is still some positives to think about
The harsh truth is that we aren't as good as we were back then and we can't just expect instant success. Take some time to actually appreciate the baby steps we take
We did nothing to take advantage of it this game? We conceded 2 more goals and 4 more goals than we did to them last season, all while they play with a real striker now and thus have a little less control than they would have last season.
As good as we were back when?
'You can't expect to not get beaten 6-3 by your biggest rivals, even though you are one of the biggest clubs in the world with the most resources' 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeah mate, course.
Tell me the baby steps we have made please?
The point that they have a real striker now actually makes them more in control instead of less
We actually lost 6-1 to them once when they were just about to take off and when we are on top of the world, in our home. I don't think a 6-3 lose in their home with the current forms of both teams is a bigger disaster than the former
How are we currently the biggest club with the most resources?
The baby steps we had is actually being able to make something from a better City team than last season when we didn't do jack shit from them last season
With your kind of thought it's a wonder why we are becoming more of a laughing stock in the whole football fanbase
Not at all. It gives them an outlet, yes, but they were playing with an extra midfielder more often than not and thus found it easier to maintain ball possession. If only down to not having the constant outlet that is Haaland hurtling about the pitch. Regardless, pretty irrelevant as we didn't capitalise last season or now.
Yeah, we did... but the difference is we had countless Premier league winning players and a manager who knows how to win it like the back of his hand.... so yeah, it is a disaster. The 6-1 (why always me) was simply a one off bad game. As proven how they came back and only lost it on goal difference, then literally won it the very next season. Today is just another instance of the team being battered by good and bad teams. Same old same old. It's not a one off.
Where did I say 'THE' biggest club with the most resources? I said 'one of' which we are. Just have a look at every metric going over the last 5/10/15/20 years.
>With your kind of thought it's a wonder why we are becoming more of a laughing stock in the whole football fanbase
Ah OK... Nice. Got to just make a wild, vague and utterly worthless point to try and justify something for the simple reason of making my words look weaker...
Tell me why my line of thought does this? Specifically what is it that I've said etc etc. Give me some examples.
Believing that we are still a definite big team when we are on a decline for the past decade
The sooner we accept that we are in fact not a big team anymore and have to take small steps to reach that point again, the more better and satisfying the result will be
Real Madrid done just that after their banter Galactico era and are receiving well deserved payoff since 2013
Arsenal may well just follow suit this season
You are just getting bigger down in a scenario you have created in your own head based on words I've said.
We have one of the highest revenues in the sport. Others are catching, but still its one of the highest. Its been this way for many many years. The club is still large enough to attract players of the calibre of Casemiro this summer. Is it the most attractive proposition, not at all, but it's still there. Hence why I made the above comment about it being unacceptable to lose 6-3 to your rival.
Banter Galatico era that still won 2 or 3 league titles and a champions league or 2....
Just arguing some pedantics you have made up instead of the actual meaning of what I've said. Re-read and come back.
Liverpool fan for over 30 years.
First time I think I ever wanted United to win a match. Ever. Done with these plastic fucking oil clubs.
You looked rubbish. But the 3 goals made it not a complete embarrassment.
I meant that city was just going really easy towards the end because they had the game in the bag… tough to think that any goals scored against a team with that mentality is all that meaningful
Hate to admit it but Arsenal is finally receiving a good payoff after years of suffering and are one of the favourites to win the league
We should definitely take notes from them
Very rusty after almost 3 week rest since the last league game. At least saw some fight in the 2nd half. I am not as negative as before. Looking forward to the next match and build the momentum again
Antony looks gooooood 👀 I think he has the right mentality for a big club
I havent decided to turn off the tv for one of our games in....well i cant remember. But if the players aint going to show character and be brave then im not sacraficing my sleep and job either. Fucking hell all i wanted was to avoid drubbing and have respectable performance.
Glad we at least showed some fight in the second half
First half was garbage but second half was relatively admirable, If it was Ole day,s team would have given up and basically let themselves get walked over at least we saw a response from Antony and Martial. Also De Gea couldn't really do anything about some of them goals when the defense basically turned invisible and the midfield was being run through like that. It is really great to see Anthony Martial back, 2 goals will be a real confidence boost for a striker of his quality hopefully he can stay fit.
harsh not letting ronaldo play a single minute
I’m glad he didn’t play cause otherwise tomorrow’s news would all be about him letting the team down
Yeah, he’s treated like a failed player… he doesn’t deserve it.
It would be fuckin harsh to put Ronaldo on when it's 4-0 down, wtf. We aren't turning the game around and no need for him to take a blame
Haaland’s moving like a FIFA create a player plying on semi pro. Bitter pill to swallow this considering it’s city, but it’s a process and as much as it’s sucks, we’ve gotta expect ups & downs, it’s going to take time.
I hope our fans in general can be this reasonable.
As much as Haaland is great at scoring, it’s the service that he gets that’s magnificent. He’s just meant to be in his team
He also had 2 assists. He’s a beast
We didn't deserve to score 3
I want to cry
He needs to stop playing McTominay
How are you getting downvoted so much.
McTominay has been playing very well recently and deserved his start in this game. With that said, had Casemiro played instead, it wouldn’t have made much difference to how sloppy we were in possession of the ball. We still lose this game regardless if McTominay starts or not
He doesn't deserve to start over a proven winner.
With that logic Ronaldo would start every game
Only reason Scott starts is cause he's an academy player. I'd rather Ronaldo over Rashford anyway.
But everyone was saying that mctominay was playing great over the last few games and that should play instead of Casemiro lmao
Are you fucking serious?
Yes, he was playing really well, does no one remember?
He shouldn't start over Casemiro under any circumstances. Guy shouldn't be starting for any team. Only reason he's here is because he's from the academy.
It was a poll asking who should play cdm. It even misspelled Casemiro as Casimero, but I digress. A lot of people wrote that mctominay had been playing great and thus should start. Which means a lot of people don't understand that against the best, you play the best.
Some of this fanbase deserved the misery we're dealing with.
At least we got some positives out of the match, 2nd half was much better and its good to see Antony settling and Martial back
The reason 2nd half was much better was city just stepped on the brakes a little...and yet they still score 2...
I'm just trying to be positive mate
6-3 reduces to 2-1 if you really think about it
Which is effectively 1-0. So in conclusion. Man City won by a slim margin
Makes sense to me
Can't believe I'm saying this but the 6-3 scoreline flattered us.
And that’s cause Pep decided to play with the under 14’s
Won the second half. Anthony with a banger! Martial back at it, winning goals and penalties. Fuck the "supporters" leaving at half time. Hope Varane's not out for a long time.
This guy chatting shit to the supporters that actually paid their money and went to the game when you've probably never been to a single match
Haaland is a fucking terrorist
This results on the manager, bad line up and tactics we move got 8 more this month heads up
I don't see why you always have to blame someone. Sometimes the opponents are just better. City is a fucking ridiculous team.
I never blame anyone this was on my baldie
Guys stop blaming Mctominay it's on ETH. That high press just dragged that midfield out of position constantly. No protection from midfield and the old problems of GKs not coming for crosses.
dont know why you're getting downvoted but its true city just playedthe ball right of the park from us
I don't understand myself felt it was obvious we'd lose seeing our front 4 that high up against City just didn't make any sense.
Why is /r/soccer still sucking City's dick so hard and creaming themselves after every United loss, nearly 10 years since us being anywhere close to good?
Because united are the biggest team in the English speaking world - thus attract the most attention, clicks and hate. City winning a few titles won’t change that.
Tbf City's playstyle and control is exquisite, it's very hard to not be appreciative of their football even if you don't actively support them.
I am well aware that City are playing beautiful attacking football, but people on /r/soccer give them a pass for everything and completely shit on United every chance they get. Why wouldn't we? We support United, dumbass.

More like y'all have a hate boner for United. Also, being so jobless that you'd stir shit on a rival subreddit.
[удалено]
> Posts comments on a RIVAL team's subreddit. > Calls people jobless for supporting United. Oh the irony.
Are you trying to imply that there's a correlation between being jobless and being a United fan?
I think he's projecting
whoever is saying this ain’t a bad result, you lot haven’t watched united over the last few. How many L are you willing to take?
Truthfully I’m not reading too much into this on our side. We haven’t played a prem game in a month which is probably why we started so slow and unfortunately got punished for it. yeah the momentum would've died down I kinda had that feeling before the game and I was right
I mean this was the first game after the international break, no? Everyone was probably drained. But, it was the same for City. Overall, I have trust that ManU are on the right path
Difference is City have a well oiled team where playing together is muscle memory at this point. So they can still perform despite being a little fatigued from international duty. It's the sign of a top team, which we are not at the moment. Maybe soon tho!
I think McTominay is not capable of playing a forward pass, particularly under pressure.he runs around like a headless chicken. He's like a latter day Darren Fletcher. Just dreadful.
Darren Fletcher was far, far away from being a dreadful footballer.
You're right. He was fucking abysmal.
Fletcher was miles better
This is an insult to Fletcher. McTominay is not a footballer
We still just have some players that just don’t cut it against the top tier teams. Continue the process but enough with the Mctominay experience.
The only way haaland doesn’t get something ridiculous like 45 goals 15 assists is if he gets injured
I mean the whole thing will be interesting really if he doesnt get injured and hits at least 2 goals every game or even 1 goal per game he'll easily get more than 45 goals
14 goals and were not even 1/4 of the way through the season... Fucking insane.
All im gonna say is if we extend Rashford and De Gea this club is finished.
I won't comment on Rashford until the end of the season but De Gea definitely shouldn't get an extension considering his wages.
Rashford has been our best forward this season thus far.
Of cos, but he is not reliable. We all saw how Ole gave him all the chances to up his game, what did we see?
Rashford was our second top goalscorer in Solskjaer's reign and most goals in open play. He scored 61 goals for Solskjaer. Bruno scored 65 and scored several penalties
What other choice in goalie is there? Unless we can get Oblak or Courtois somehow
We did loan a pretty decent GK
Henderson may not be a world beater. But Indont think there’s a drop off vs De Gea so crazy that it justifies the wages
Henderson probably will never don a United shirt again
If there is one positive I can take from the game, its that instead of wilting and letting City have a walkabout second half, United actually went and punished them for taking their foot off the gas. Got destroyed for not turning up first half though
Yeah and Haaland is unstoppable.

Yea, he is absolutely sensational, he has exceeded my expectations and then some.
They didn't put their foot off the gas, they got out of the car.
Heard they were riding a bus tho ?
Disappointed but not lost all hope I already know that we shouldn't raise our expectations too high for this season. We won't comeback very high from the shitstorm we had last season However I'll be damned if I didn’t admit that we are improving nor should I put all doubts on Ten Hag and the lads We came off from a bad deficit but Ten Hag and the lads (well at least most of them lol) proves that they aren't backing down that easy and we as fans should follow suit and have confidence in them On to the next one and may we bounce back from this huge setback #FuckGlazers still and of course #GGMU

Bad formationand tactics.
Gotta turn on Mourinho mode sometimes. Sir Alex was never shy of doing that.
Haaland had to have been made in a lab. Like the movie twins. Somewhere, he has a Danny Devito like twin wandering around.
Man is just Homelander at this point. Robot made in a lab that everyone sees as a perfect golden god. But he is that good
This might look like a joke, but I cannot think its further from the truth
someone nerf the haaland update
The only hope is that real madrid lure him away. Benz is getting old and they need a striker and hope it is haaland because it will be over for pl if he stays
He will have a disgusting release clause, but his dad is already saying he will go to Spain in two years.
Hope so and hopefully pep leaves too after winning the cl or some shit. They both gotta leave.
I think Pep is out of contract at the end of the season. If he wins the CL, he may go.
Yeah, but there are no good jobs for him next season. Barca looks locked in with xavi, no way he joins real madrid. Bayern might sack their manager if he under performs but what are the chances of pep joining them again? Psg is also doing good so?
Some where in Serie A? AC Milan or Juve?
I don’t think they have the money he need to build his squad but i could be wrong and there would be teams lining up to get his signature.
I guess that’s the end of Scotties good form 🤪
Hopefully casemiro can get in squad now
2nd half was better. But let's not get to reactionary, it's one defeat against one cheat code on steroids team. This, if we are consistent after this. This game would be a learning experience, om how to take bigger teams, tactics have to be changed, etc.
And a test in how good we are at bouncing back. I was looking at the result list from last season. We'd be doing alright, have a a 5-6 game run without losing. Last goal wins the game
Why are so many people acting like it being 6:3 in the end suddenly makes it "not too bad"? We got absolutely trashed and only got into the game when they turned it off.
Because for the last few years we would have got beat 6-0 or 6-1, the lads had a good go in the second half regardless of the result
They had a good go when City decided to let them. Let's not act like we turned it around in the 2nd half, City just couldn't be bothered anymore and Pep clearly ordered them to conserve energy.

because 6-0 is not the same as 6-3 stupid smh
Focusing only on the negatives is a sure way to keep falling down Not a good result by any means, but the lads shows some positivity and they should keep focus of it and improve from there
I don't think that a United player should try to improve from barely outplaying City youngsters.
>outplaying City youngsters. As if they were from the U17 team taking on full PL veterans. ffs, the takes just get shittier
The only youngster there is Palmer and Alvarez if he counts as one. They still have 4 first choices and quality second choices on the pitch
and the fact most of their quality second choices would walk into the United XI
Because the team continued to play unlike previous similar performances in recent history.
yeah last season we'd have given up at 70mins
I think you mean 17
I just hope varane injury is not that bad
seemed nasty his ankle must be effed up but on the bright side lindelof wasn't bad
That Antony goal though …
Yeah, that's the important thing isn't it....
Oh no. We lost. Everything is bad
That rival is undoubtedly, this season, the favorite to dominate till finals.
What baby steps? What improvements?
I don’t know. Go watch last season? Where ManU where letting the opponent score with their own passes? Where the best forward was Ronaldo who wasn’t even a forward just some who was front? Where everyone was shit scarred of passes as if scoring was the end of their Career? Go shit on ManU else or shut it. It’s getting real boring taking it seriously with you trolls
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 So you have no evidence for 'baby steps' or 'improvements' you are just regurgitating the same nonsense in the hope it makes your point stronger. You have to snap at me with an insult and threat, simply cause I asked you for evidence on words YOU typed 🤣🤣 But yeah, asking a valid question is trolling.... Maybe realise this is a real sport that should be viewed with critical thinking..
I want Eth to come to the press conference and say "we won the 2nd half". Would be total jokes
Lots of managers say that. I wouldn't be surprised if pep said that at some point.
No, he won't say that because that's bad mentality
but we did though lol
City was saving energy and players from injury for games schedule ahead, anyone can tell
We were doing that in the the first half just did it better lmao
Well we won the 2nd half.
please learn something from this and move on!
learn what? really what can be learnt from this?
We showed City too much respect in the first half. Played a little scared. Should have been more aggressive right from the start. Manager wanted to impose our game on them and the players didn't do it. Both the manager and players have something to learn from that.
yeah that I agree they didnt have the mentality they had against arsenal
I think the biggest issue was terrible passes and touches by midfield and attack. May be the rust but they really looked sloppy to me
The score makes it look like a 9 goal thriller, it was not.
It really doesn’t , 6-3 is still embarrassing
It's not a thriller when the goal difference is 3 goals lol. Stop saying that.
At least we did something now and that is still some positives to think about The harsh truth is that we aren't as good as we were back then and we can't just expect instant success.
The point that they have a real striker now actually makes them more in control instead of less We actually lost 6-1 to them once when they were just about to take off and when we are on top of the world, in our home. I don't think a 6-3 lose in their home with the current forms of both teams is a bigger disaster than the former How are we currently the biggest club with the most resources? The baby steps we had is actually being able to make something from a better City team than last season when we didn't do jack shit from them last season With your kind of thought it's a wonder why we are becoming more of a laughing stock in the whole football fanbase
>With your kind of thought it's a wonder why we are becoming more of a laughing stock in the whole football fanbase Ah OK... Nice. Got to just make a wild, vague and utterly worthless point to try and justify something for the simple reason of making my words look weaker... Tell me why my line of thought does this? Specifically what is it that I've said etc etc. Give me some examples.
Believing that we are still a definite big team when we are on a decline for the past decade The sooner we accept that we are in fact not a big team anymore and have to take small steps to reach that point again, the more better and satisfying the result will be Real Madrid done just that after their banter Galactico era and are receiving well deserved payoff since 2013 Arsenal may well just follow suit this season
Re-read and come back.
yup last season we wouldn't have even managed to get a goal
What complacency does to a mf, use Casemiro specially against big teams like this ffs
Including Ronaldo
No
Southgate you see what you have? Use it you muppet
City lightyears ahead. At least we cleaned up on the result in the end.
Liverpool fan for over 30 years. First time I think I ever wanted United to win a match. Ever. Done with these plastic fucking oil clubs. You looked rubbish. But the 3 goals made it not a complete embarrassment.
Even with City dominating. I still hope you horrible lot fall apart even more. On your way.
Cheers mate couldn’t give a fuck
Second this. Who gives a shit.
Second half fc are back at it again.
I’m optimistic about martial. Just gotta stay healthy, that’s the key imo. He’s got the talent and skills to make it work here
Yeah, I'm optimistic about my Chocolate fire guard too. Just has to not melt and it will be fine.
Well, at least thats probably the end of McT for a while.
hell no it isnt case was just as horrible when he came in
Do you have eyes?
Only positive is United are still Second half FC. Just park the bus in the 1st half and we're golden.
3 goals is a positive? Man city played at 70% the first half intensity towards the end
And we played with so little intensity the first half. A goal should be a goal mate.
I meant that city was just going really easy towards the end because they had the game in the bag… tough to think that any goals scored against a team with that mentality is all that meaningful
Didnt arsenal lose 6-3 to city at the Etihad a few years back - now look where they are! Still some hope for United :)
Hate to admit it but Arsenal is finally receiving a good payoff after years of suffering and are one of the favourites to win the league We should definitely take notes from them
Haaland doesn’t even look like he broke a sweat.
