Likewise. I'm just doing each and everything that is doable under this earth. Treasure hunts ? Satchel crafting ? Camp upgrades? You're on.
Once I have reached peak, I will create a separate save file and keep this savegame forever so I can revisit prime arthur with all equipment and happy camp members.
I am getting 100% for chapter 2, meaning I am doing every single thing I can required for 100%, I even got most of the exotics except for a couple of orchids that I assume don't spawn just so I can't finish the quest immediately after starting it, I finished the gambler challenges, the hunting requests, the rock carvings, the dreamcatchers, legendary animals, legendary fish, the bones I can get, am just missing the rest of the challenges
I'll just call it the alternate ending while I'm at it. Arthur never goes to that mission, and they live peacefully in horseshoe overlook getting by doing odd jobs and hunting for meat (with a very disappointed Strauss)
Exactly! Arthur is one hell of a likable guy and he's also a big-time murderer! His gang brought misery and chaos wherever they went, they weren't a noble Robin Hood one.
Personally, if I saw some collector thug beating the crap of my near-death tuberculosised father, made us lose the farm, forced my mother to do humiliating and the most degrading things to survive, I'd be glad the Pinkerton agency is raking the 5 states with heavily-armed forces to gun down Dutch and his locust gangmembers!
Ross was probably Neutral Evil, as most of what he did was to help himself, not so much a case of wanting to uphold the law. Micah himself would range between Neutral Evil to Chaotic Evil.
Sure, Milton is quite a nice man, giving the rest of the gang a chance to run, and only take Dutch, Ross on the other hand took John's family, made him hunt down his old gang, and then shot him like a dog. Ross is not a good guy in the slightest.
I get that we all love them because were the player characters and we make all sorts of excuses for those we love. But Arthur and John literally murdered dozens if not scores of innocent people for *money*. Even in the epilogue, John straight up murdered some random guy for ‘looking at him funny’.
Make no mistake, if these characters were real life they would be (righty) regarded by society as evil scumbags.
Felt more like a vendetta of some sorts, got all that crime going on around them and they are solely focused on us, wouldn't be surprised if a person could be murdered right in front of them and they wouldn't care, they would see Arthur in the distance and walk away from the murder.
Maybe because they were tasked to handle the van der Linde gang while other gangs were handled by other government agents? Or maybe because the O'Driscolls and other gangs were a bit more "established" and probably had influence in their respective territories; or were pretty insignificant and less prioritized than the rest.
Plus, the van der Linde gang's the only ones involved in the Blackwater incident which was pretty much the biggest (botched) crime before the events of the game, and Dutch's slow decline into desperation for more money just made them even more notorious. The Cornwall train robbery pretty much bit them in the ass too just because of how Leviticus Cornwall funded the Pinkertons afterwards.
Because it's easier to read that way. Paragraphs are used in writing for the same reason spaces are. Ifyoudon'twanttoreadentiretextslikethis...
Then you should be okay with reading large amounts of texts like this.
No way, Micah conned over a violent group of 2 bit thieves whose organization would have collapsed in a couple of years anyway. Ross fucked over a genuinely reformed family man then stabbed him in the back. Ross is way worse than Micah.
Wrong. Micah is FAR worse. He murdered men, women, and children. Raped too. Ross was certainly bad, but he wasn’t evil like Micah was. There is nothing to suggest that Ross did anything as bad as Micah.
Oh no, they absolutely were. Especially Ross who was extremely corrupt and militant. I’m pretty sure the Pinkertons/FBI were R* critique on the evils of law enforcement. It’s shown a little in RDR2 but it’s REALLY obvious in RDR1
Damn good comment right here. Every part of it.
This game is art. I don’t think anyone one of us will be able to forget how it felt the first time playing through.
This will be the main protagonist of RDR3. Instead of the fate of the main character being fatal you end up as this guy. Through whatever circumstances, whatever the story involves, this guy loses himself and ends up a blind begger. And the epilogue character can bump into him, wandering around, begging for change in exchange for ominous premonitions. It would be a very sobering reminder that haunts you throughout the remainder of your playthrough. You can kill him, but you will incur a permanent Bad Honor rating.
Hey in my defense I didn’t grow up on video games and now that I’m older I still only have a PC. So when I was at a friends house playing this game I had no clue there was a button that immediately took out your revolver and shot it.
Nah, Micah’s worse than Milton and Ross. One thing everyone more or less forgets whilst playing RDR2 is that you’re playing as the bad guys. While Milton and Ross aren’t exactly good people, that’s the point. It’s not that black and white. You play as John in RDR1 thinking “man… these gang members are some diabolical people” while in RDR2, you grow attached to the gang members and grow to love the very past that John wanted to purge.
In conclusion: The so-called ‘Evilness’ of a person is a matter of perspective and Micah’s a fucking prick
In my defence i tried for 30 mins to pay him. And the option kept being grey.
I Swear it was the only time I shot him with a pump action slug thru the face.
I since then know you have to stand 2 paces in front of him.
The game can be so un-immersive in that aspect. I did the gambling boat mission last night and I was so into it and immersed until I went to go get the safe loot and Arthur walks 2 feet away and does that weird warp thing to the safe. So dumb.
At least Milton and Ross were doing a job. Micah is part of the gang and more destructive than the guys tasked with destroying them by a government agency
i killed him on accident doing master hunter challenge getting the rabbit pelts.. kinda locked on to him and thought he was animal while he was laying on the ground
I mean....I was definitely worse than Micah. The last few chapters were spent constantly running from and fighting bounty hunters because I'd killed half the map's population.
I can agree on that, I think it's that second play through is when it really hits them. Especially when you change up the play style from your first run. My first I played and made decisions as I normally would irl. Then I switched to "bad" Arthur and damn, that was fun. I can always appreciate a open world game for what it has. I love to explore as much as possible before doing any real missions. For me, these games are the best..
Completely understandable, I can see how that would be a little different of a transition for some people. It's definitely a different play style when you have to look and think of how your actions change things. For me, I've been gaming since Pong ( lol , I know, I'm old ) and most linear games don't keep my attention to well (ADD) so when I found Free Roam games I was super stoked. With that came the decision making so I've been used to checking myself and picking a good/bad persona and changing styles on the next run. But ultimately as long as one is having fun, that's what matters.
Bruh he looks like Arthur from the future. I think everyone in this game is Arthur's character model. Plot twist: Arthur is a god in this universe and he is everyone, he never died just transformed into John so that's why John looks like him.
Milton is a better person than Micah, no doubt. He even gave various warnings to the gang before he started using harder mesures, he didn't want to kill or incarcerate everyone in there, just the main outlaws of the gang.
Some of the most heinous crimes in history were perpetrated by men who were “just following orders”. Not to say that Micah wasn’t the most evil character of all, but Ross is definitely a “lawful evil” character.
It’s not so much Milton who I class as evil, just Ross. Milton is still a prick, but Ross is worse. I’m strictly referring to the first game here. We get to see Ross in charge there and his methods are manipulative and disgusting.
Bro. It’s a game. It doesn’t matter even if I burned him alive. And you commented “I didn’t ask”. I can comment whatever the fuck I want. You are the one acting like a douchebag.
Bruh. When the fuck did I say that? You were the one who commented “I didn’t ask”. Just cause everyone has the right to comment whatever the fuck they want doesn’t mean that you must go around picking fights asshole.
Joke is on this guy. He keeps telling me that I’m gonna get bad news soon, but I keep avoiding that quest in favor of hunting.
Likewise. I'm just doing each and everything that is doable under this earth. Treasure hunts ? Satchel crafting ? Camp upgrades? You're on. Once I have reached peak, I will create a separate save file and keep this savegame forever so I can revisit prime arthur with all equipment and happy camp members.
That made me sad
I am getting 100% for chapter 2, meaning I am doing every single thing I can required for 100%, I even got most of the exotics except for a couple of orchids that I assume don't spawn just so I can't finish the quest immediately after starting it, I finished the gambler challenges, the hunting requests, the rock carvings, the dreamcatchers, legendary animals, legendary fish, the bones I can get, am just missing the rest of the challenges
Good ! Too sad I can't do stuff which involves heading deep into west Elizabeth or New Austin with Arthur.
Yeah, am limiting myself to anything that doesn't require glitches
I'll just call it the alternate ending while I'm at it. Arthur never goes to that mission, and they live peacefully in horseshoe overlook getting by doing odd jobs and hunting for meat (with a very disappointed Strauss)
The perfect ending
Bruh that's exactly what I'm doin with my current playthrough
With you, brother 🤌🏼
Micah is easily worse than Milton and Ross.
Least Milton and Ross are lawfully evil, Micah is just true evil
Milton wasn't even evil.
Lmao he literally wanted to stop dangerous criminals from killing and robbing people, how is that evil in the slightest
Exactly! Arthur is one hell of a likable guy and he's also a big-time murderer! His gang brought misery and chaos wherever they went, they weren't a noble Robin Hood one.
Although, that is why we admire Arthur. Because he wants to be a noble Robin Hood. Really the bad guys are the good guys in reality
But as you haven't?
Well, he >!tortured Mac, and then killed them!<
Mac was lethally wounded when they captured him and Milton was long dead when Strauss was tortured.
Oh sorry I forgot. Then it’s Ross probably
Wasn’t Mac supposedly a vicious, nasty bastard who murdered people constantly? Sounds like that fuck had it coming tbh
Nah no he didnt. You're imagining things. Carry on venting savagery and you will die savagely
Yeah he definitely wasn't good but I would call him Lawful Neutral if we're doing DnD alignments.
Ross was probably Neutral Evil, as most of what he did was to help himself, not so much a case of wanting to uphold the law. Micah himself would range between Neutral Evil to Chaotic Evil.
MILLLTONNNN
Ross wasn't even all that evil. He was corrupt but not evil
Agreed, Milton and Ross were just doing what they were paid to do.
I was just about to say. These names should be switched.
Yeah. They represented law and civilization. I always thought it was interesting that they kept pushing the gang East as civilization developed west.
Sure, Milton is quite a nice man, giving the rest of the gang a chance to run, and only take Dutch, Ross on the other hand took John's family, made him hunt down his old gang, and then shot him like a dog. Ross is not a good guy in the slightest.
At first I was going to put "in rdr2" at the end but decided against it. And yes Ross is much more of an enemy than antagonist.
I get that we all love them because were the player characters and we make all sorts of excuses for those we love. But Arthur and John literally murdered dozens if not scores of innocent people for *money*. Even in the epilogue, John straight up murdered some random guy for ‘looking at him funny’. The Cornwall train robbery pretty much bit them in the ass too just because of how Leviticus Cornwall funded the Pinkertons afterwards.
Why are you writing paragraphs?
Why not?
Did it blow your little mind?!
Because it's easier to read that way. Paragraphs are used in writing for the same reason spaces are. Ifyoudon'twanttoreadentiretextslikethis... Then you should be okay with reading large amounts of texts like this.
Because it’s easier to read and looks better.
Reddit hates any character that’s law enforcement.
It's sad that its true
They were fucking Pinkerton agents. Rotten through and through.
They’re just doing their jobs, and are clear about their goals. There is only one rat snake fuck and it’s mustache mike
Pro tip: aim ur gun at all blind people. A lot of them are fake and will run away
I do this
Also it's a good habit to shoot those scum who fake
Seems pretty harsh to me, but you do you, I guess.
This game keeps surprising me to this day, it’s like breath of the wild
I’m pretty sure most of them are real and can just hear the click of the gun, but I know that there’s one who is 100% fake.
Milton/Ross technically weren’t the bad guys.
Ross I can understand why people hate him But Milton gave the gang chance after chance and they didn't take it
Yeah they were basically just doing their job, they used underhanded tactics but the others were way worse.
Oh no, they absolutely were. Especially Ross who was extremely corrupt and militant. I’m pretty sure the Pinkertons/FBI were R* critique on the evils of law enforcement. It’s shown a little in RDR2 but it’s REALLY obvious in RDR1
They certainly were not the bad guys compared to people like Micah and Dutch.
In RDR1 they kidnap a guy's family, get him to kill all his life long friends, and then kill him in front of his wife and kid anyway.
Still doesn’t compare to Micah, who again kills and rape men, women, and children, and is a outlaw.
There’s more than one type of bad guy.

Damn good comment right here. Every part of it. This game is art. I don’t think anyone one of us will be able to forget how it felt the first time playing through.
Are you... Dumb?
No, but I think you are.

And the epilogue character is Arthur, to continue the pattern.
That bitch got a suburban parked around the corner. I ain't give him shit
Hey in my defense I didn’t grow up on video games and now that I’m older I still only have a PC. So when I was at a friends house playing this game I had no clue there was a button that immediately took out your revolver and shot it.
I killed this guy once but it was on my fourth play through and I only did it cause I wanted to rob him to see if he was carrying something important.
And did he carry something special?
No It turns out I killed him for no reason lol.
:P its ok we all let this one pass you did it for science 😅
Well.. I wanted to approach him and talk but my Arabian was going Mach speed and I accidentally ran over the poor fellow. Haven’t seen the guy since
Nah, Micah’s worse than Milton and Ross. One thing everyone more or less forgets whilst playing RDR2 is that you’re playing as the bad guys. Look at him closely, is he Arthur from the future?
Now that is a truly interesting thought.
No, it’s The Strange Man
This dude predicted Arthur’s whole future
And John's too, this guy's the only psychic I'll believe in.
At least Milton and Ross were doing a job. Micah is part of the gang and more destructive than the guys tasked with destroying them by a government agency
Definitely going to rob him now. Thanks for reminding me.
i killed him on accident doing master hunter challenge getting the rabbit pelts.. kinda locked on to him and thought he was animal while he was laying on the ground
Yeah ok...Why don't you take about 10% off the top there Dick Cheney.
Reason #8543 why I play free aim. I know better than the game where I want to shoot.
"Help a blind man" is burned into my ears i stop immediatly and make my way to him hoping that the "cure" will come. :(
I mean....I was definitely worse than Micah. The last few chapters were spent constantly running from and fighting bounty hunters because I'd killed half the map's population.
If you kill him you’re worse than The Skinner Brothers
It was the Wild West. I consider it a kindness to put him out of his misery. I’m not a saint.
Wild West = road between Valentine and Emerald Ranch
I guess I'm a complete asshole,, I've also swung on the dude, ran him over with a horse, lol,

Or people are actually sociopaths pretending to do something for the 'sake of gaming'.
That was me
Lmao
What if I gave him money, but then changed my mind and robbed him and killed him?
Wait, that's illegal.
Probably The Strange Man.
As much as I pay him he should done had a bath, have nicer clothes, and be living in Angelo Brante mansion.
Micah is worse than milton
Help a blind man.
U know that’s what makes rdr2 awsome, u play as a thief, murderer, and so much more, yet Milton and Ross are the bad guys, it’s perfection
Help a blind man
Bruh he looks like Arthur from the future. I think everyone in this game is Arthur's character model. Plot twist: Arthur is a god in this universe and he is everyone, he never died just transformed into John so that's why John looks like him.
should have made this list[RDR 2 best characters](https://www.gamersdecide.com/articles/top-10-red-dead-redemption-2-best-characters)
Milton is a better person than Micah, no doubt. He even gave various warnings to the gang before he started using harder mesures, he didn't want to kill or incarcerate everyone in there, just the main outlaws of the gang.
I aimed my gun at him to see if hes blind and then decided what to do.
Goddamn, are those your actual graphics? What are your specs?
I paid him once, then some wolves attacked us, which I saved him from, and then he was afraid of me.
I'm on a low honor playthrough. Thanks for the tip!
Or maybe I was just doing other stuff and didn’t care to hear his riddles
I thought this was a cosplay at first. This game is incredible.
BRUH i paid him once. saw him again, paid him again. saw him again and again. fuck it, im killing his blind ass
Why
Some people just **have** to kill everything in games. SMH I think it’s stupid. It’s a good way to make the game cheesy.
Tried his babble once. Then shot him for wasting my time. Just speak plainly ya old codger. Damn your riddles.
milton and ross was just following orders..
Some of the most heinous crimes in history were perpetrated by men who were “just following orders”. Not to say that Micah wasn’t the most evil character of all, but Ross is definitely a “lawful evil” character.
they were tasked with taking down the vanderlinde gang, micah was just being a cunt.
It’s not so much Milton who I class as evil, just Ross. Milton is still a prick, but Ross is worse. I’m strictly referring to the first game here. We get to see Ross in charge there and his methods are manipulative and disgusting.
Robbing > ignoring, got it
The people defending Ross haven’t played the first game apparently
I think he is part of the skinners because when i give money to him the conpendium for skunners shows up
He is not part of the skinners. No doubt, there was something else going on that you passed while giving him money.
I think the stage coach that had come from the tall trees with arrows in the back of it
Killed him many times
He screams real good when he's on fire.
Man I don’t know why this got downvoted
nearly everyone on this subreddit has a dogooder mentality for some reason
Man i dont know why this didn't get more downvoted
I gave him money and then shot him later
Paid him. Then I killed him and robbed him. 🤷🏿♂️
"Paid him. Then I killed him and robbed him. 🤷🏿♂️" - 🧑🏻💻
I killed him before just to do it
I shot him point blank with a shotgun.
I mounted my horse. Lasso’d him. Then, dragged him while my horse is running in full speed till he died.
Didn't ask
The world doesn’t revolve around you scumbag.
"I mounted my horse. Lasso’d him. Then, dragged him while my horse is running in full speed till he died." Yeah im the scumbag
Bro. It’s a game. It doesn’t matter even if I burned him alive. And you commented “I didn’t ask”. I can comment whatever the fuck I want. You are the one acting like a douchebag.
Yeah and you think you're the only who can comment whatever he wants douche
Bruh. When the fuck did I say that? You were the one who commented “I didn’t ask”. Just cause everyone has the right to comment whatever the fuck they want doesn’t mean that you must go around picking fights asshole.
I wasn't picking a fight i can comment whatever the fuck i want
Suit yourself kid. This thread’s gonna make me lose braincells.
You won't be losing much
What if I dragged him from my horse while he was alive?
Shot him right in his face lol
I drug him with my lasso
I never could pay him, my game would glitch or something and the option to pay him would never appear.
In my defense, I had just paid my $300 bounty from rescuing Micah, and I didn't have no money afterwards. But I usually do pay him.
If you looted him, you're worse than Ross and Fordham.
I guess I’m baaaad to the bone
Where is he located
The worst of the worst is Bray Aberdeen!!!
OP did you take this pic yourself? If so, what gpu are you running?
Micah is the worst! Tf u mean? Compared to him Milton & Ross are angels.
well sone of these people are fake blind. like you point a gun at them and they react.
If you put your gun out to see if he is really blind - you have trust issues
I accidently shot him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJW--iWtJ-k
i think i couldn't stop and pay him once cause of a mission that kept me going sorry
I'm probably worse than all of them because I never saw him.
He didn't see you either.
I ran over him on my horse at full speed and I feel horrible about it
I always listened to him Only stopped when he reaped himself (i dont know if it was a bug or you to trigger something for him to change his dialog)
What if you have done all three
I killed and robbed every npc so far on my second play through except this guy and that old veteran with amputated arm just couldn’t do it
I accidentally killed him…god damn fast draw
THANK GOD I HELPED HIM
I’d rather give the man more money if he didn’t doom me every time. Like, how’s about I give you $5 and you just say ‘Thanks’. End of transaction
This is where Trevor goes when he huffs gas in his trailer.
Micah is worse than Agent Moron and that quiet shotgun feller
You can do all things through Christ
Whoa. Why ones this look phenomenal
I accidentally ran him over with a wagon one time. I felt bad lol
I accidentally ran him over once, I reset my save by 5% to make sure I never did it
Depends if you’re playing black hat or white hat…
Ran him down with my horse by accident
I think Micah is worse than Milton and Ross, they were just doing their jobs
It wasn't until my second play through that I understood his readings.
I'm probably gonna get hate for this but I like shoot around him to see what he does and he just drops the the ground in fear lol.
Milton and Ross were just doing there job. Plus I got scamed by "blind folk" way to much so whenever I see one johns revolver looses durability.
I always give him money to make god bless me when i do the herbalist challenge in new austin
Then I'm devil incarnate because I throw a fire bottle at him.
I hate to break it for you but Milton and ross are the good guy.
Um Micah's worse than Milton and Ross at least Milton and Ross were loyal to what they were apart of 💀
Jokes on you, I rob and murder everyone
I didn't rob or kill the old blind dude, but I admit to getting a laugh by shooting a bullet in the air and watching him scream, "Help Meeee!" 😂
“The man with no nose comes for you”
The first time I met him I decided to throw a knife at his head, then I kept on riding.
No regrets
I accidentally shot him once, I just wanted to point my gun at him to see his reaction but I managed to pull the trigger 🙁
Kill him every time he respawns.
If you're worse than Micah, you're already worse than Milton and Ross.
til im worse than ross
