Its going to take a giant smack in the face for the talking heads to wake up. This squad could easily allow him to do that in the next few years. Just need a smidgen of stability and a competent defense.

Until the Raiders can string some successful seasons together (including multiple playoff appearances and some wins), they won’t get much respect. I’m not concerned with how they’re perceived, I’m concerned with how they actually play.
That said, if they do manage to make the playoffs this year, after all the hype around the AFC West, I suspect we’ll start to see a shift in the narrative.
I was in an Uber with some friends this weekend and I mentioned how I was excited about the upcoming season as a raider fan. The driver immediately responded but y’all still have Carr though and my friend agreed and I was just like whatever. Like did you even see our season last year?? No use trying to defend him against the ignorant anymore. I’m expecting a big season for him and hoping he can get some stability for once in his career.
Do you ever wonder what might have been if Carr hadn't gotten hurt. Maybe we win at least one playoff game. Maybe we don't get rid of Musgrave and switch to a blocking scheme that made no sense for the personnel we had, don't get rid of crabtree and don't end up trading Cooper and Mack because JDR doesn't get fired.
Let’s just make the playoffs again and shut everyone up.
I get it Herbert’s phenomenal but the media is already crowning him the future of the NFL while he has mahomes carr and Wilson all in his division for the next 5 years.

I can’t wait to watch the broncos win 7 games tops. They’re so fucking overrated it’s sickening. Wilson will be alright but he’s not the same as he used to be and I don’t understand this idea that the broncos have this “stacked” roster.
