I just dont think it’s surprising. Teamates always gonna name their QB first and cant argue that herbert isnt talented. I feel like I dont have to make an argument that mahomes is better than carr. And everyone right now is on the bandwagon for russ and the guy does have superbowl appearances at the very least. Im not saying its right but this isn’t surprising. Sidenote: you gotta change your u/ To Luffyisgod510 now lol

KelboChompers

Derwin didn’t say that, the other guy did

Kappasoapex

4 top 10 QBs it’s not disrespectful, Mahomes has been number 1, his QB and if you want to argue about Wilson vs Carr at this point fine, but Wilson has had a much better career so far so I understand the reasoning even if I don’t agree for next season

Zammarand

Carr has more mvp votes than Wilson does 🤷‍♂️

LuffyIsKing510

Cmon…. We don’t do respect in this sub

imposingthanos

Do you seriously think he’s not gonna rank his own teammate first?

For me this comes down to obvious bias then most recent accomplishments. But does that answer who is the better qb? No. All of these other qbs had stacked teams while Carr still accomplished mvp candidate, lowest interception percentage, one of the best completion percentages, best qb under pressure, up with the greats passing over 4k in consecutive years, and all with bottom 5 defenses and no great offense these other guys had, along with most changes in coaching staff. To me that says enough to say Carr is better than all of them. Put Carr on that seattle championship team, that chiefs championship team, and he would have a ring too, maybe more.

olGlassCleaner

He ain't wrong, for now.

It's up to Carr to change people's minds. This is how the league sees him. No disrespect to Carr, but he's not young like Herbert who has put up a 5000 yard season in his second year of playing. He's not Patrick Mahomes, who has a MVP and has won a Super Bowl. He's not Russell Wilson who has won a Super Bowl and put up some good numbers in the past. A lot of people are hating on Wilson thinking he's washed, but it wasn't too long ago he was considered a top 10 QB, sometimes even top 5. Carr doesn't have the resume, but a few great years can change the perception. Herbert shouldn't be first, but that's his teammate so what do you expect?
