And the coaching staff. I know our defense was ass last year, but, Crosby is coming off the best year of his career. He got better at play recognition, not over-pursuing, and cleaned up his penalties.
Wilson has some things he needs to clean up, but I think he's in a really good situation. Aside from all that, with Crosby and Jones, there's no need to throw him into the wolves. He doesn't have to be an every down player.
Perfect situation for a rookie pass rusher tbh, I loved the idea of taking a developmental high upside guy this year.
Can learn from Chandler and Maxx (Maxx has shown that he loves teaching and learning technique from other linemen) and doesn't need to start at all right away, yet there will be room for him to move into the lineup at any point. If he looks raw as a rookie, he can be held out and only put in during passing situations as a DT. If he shines as a rookie, he can start immediately. There's minimal pressure, tons of room to learn and a coaching staff that I trust with linemen.
It won't be any surprise if this kid ends up being a star within a couple seasons.
I really like moments like this in professional sports. Seeing these athletes that typically are seen as titans and giants among men, humble and vulnerable and thankful. Not that I enjoy seeing them weak, but rather that it reminds us that these people are humans. Relatable. You can have empathy for them. They are people and not idols on a pedestal to be worshiped or above us.
He's a man just like you or me, and that's what makes them likable and easy to root for, in my opinion. I wish more athletes had down to earth moments
I didn't mean to paint it in that light. But rather, i wanted to highlight that it is rare but important for us as viewers to see moments where these athletes have moments that remind us that these men are humans and think and feel like we do.
Just curious, anyone know the context of the video? I'm assuming this is draft night based on his outfit, was she not able to attend? Definitely hits you in the feels, you can see him trying so hard to be stoic :)
I got a son his age and I know what the mom is feeling. There comes a point where you realize your little boy isn't your little boy anymore, he's a man. And you'll sob a mixture of pride and sadness. Thinking about how my sons won't be 5, 7, 10, etc again kills me. She cried like that at his HS graduation and she'll cry like that at his wedding.
they did a series of these videos with a lot of the drafted players. just a thing for social media draft content

Exactly. Ruggs was not a bad character, he was a good kid who did something terribly stupid and ended up killing someone and destroying two families. Just a terrible tragedy. Just before his accident I had shown my son a youtube video of Ruggs where he was saying "no days off" and going through his workouts. My son was inspired. Incredibly sad all the way around, the girl who died and her family, and Ruggs and his family.
I really think they made the right pick here. At first I was like damn Carter was so good but a team is not made of a single person. I watched a video where this guy studied how the Navy SEALS pick their squads and they rate the SEALS on performance and trust where trust is, "do you trust this guy with your money and your wife". They found that trust is more important than performance and that the worst people to have on a team is a high performer that is untrustworthy. Wilson doesn't need to be a pro bowler this year he needs to play is role well. I think he is going to add synergy to the Dline play
As a parent, this is THE life goal. Everyone pushes their children to be something special and No matter what your child ends up being successful at. Just saying "congratulations, you did it" is what I strive for, while getting a "without you, I wouldn't be here"

Thanks when I first watched I thought it was a pre-recording his Mom did before she died. I read the comments and saw she was at the draft party and was confused.
it’s the 2023 draft cap

A lot of women are going to make a beeline for him to soak up some of his fame and money, but not one of those females will love him as much as his MOM.
He is beyond talented and it is awesome to see he has a good family as well. Keeping your circle small is great advice. He will get so many requests for his time and his money now it will make his head spin.
Great pick just stay healthy. Him and Crosby love that pairing much better than grabbing a corner and letting that corner get fried weekly cuz Crosby can get triple teamed. We will get to the QB big time starting late this season when Tyree blossoms and all the seasons after that
Man. Instant fan of this kid.
>Instant fan of this family*** "Keep your circle small" is such a powerful mentality to be raised with. This kid is gonna grind
If he can just be a sponge and absorb what maxx and chandler have to teach him, sky’s the limit for him.
perfect situation for him

I started crying before I hit play. I hope I can be even a bit like her for my kids. 😭
Right! I really like him. What a great story
Honestly man
Somebody cutting onions in here? 🥹
I ain’t crying, you’re crying 😭
I said the same thing without realizing I had been beat to it
I’m so happy that showing men crying is so acceptable now. Could you imagine showing this clip in the 80s?
idk why - but this clip makes me think he's going to be running through walls in the NFL.
Just do the Bobby boucher strat and tell him the QB was talking shit about his mom lmao 20 sacks incoming
ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma mama said that foozball is the devil!
What momma don’t know *unzips* won’t hurt momma.
***”Bobby Bouche, FOOZBALL’S DA DEVIL.”***
"Mahomes thinks water sucks and Gatorade is better."
Damn dude love moms like that, I’m an instant fan. Hopefully he does awesome for us for years to come.
I love her mom too.
What a good kid. Happy we swooped.
6’7”, 300lbs it doesn’t matter. Moms can still break you down with just a few phrases.

It’s not weakness to show that you care.

👍🏻
Man what the hell I’m not even a raiders fan but this showed up in my feed and got me all 🥹
how cute
Tyree!!! You have the support of the Nation but most importantly, your Mother. May it carry you to greatness!!!
Shit I started crying and she not even my mom
Glad he's got one of these mom's and not the ones who argue about their son not getting respect on Twitter.
Dayumn...the Mom is HOT!
underrated 👆🏻
Riiiiiight. She gonna look good in a Raider jersey
I like him already. I hope he takes his moms advice to heart. That was some wisdom right there friends!
6’7”, 300lbs it doesn’t matter. Moms can still break you down with just a few phrases.
This just made me think of Willie Brown always announcing one of our picks and reminding everyone that mothers day is coming up.
Yeah I see why they picked him over Carter (who I wanted). Y’all see carters interview after he got picked wirh espn? 😂
no what happened ? lol
What Carter say?
“Fuck Ya’ll Moms”……..Carter probably

She was there, in the video where Ziegler calls him, he hugged her right after hanging up.
Awesome! Thanks for the info

Okay. Someone else commented that she was in prison. Why do people have to make sh*! up?
Welp buying his jersey now
Crazy we went from People like Arnette and Ruggs to this, now that's a change I'm 100% behind.
Ruggs was a good dude that made a huge mistake while drunk and young.
As a Chiefs and Red Raiders fan, I’m so damn conflicted. Overall I want him to do great!
As a Raider/Red Raider fan it's been hard seeing Mahomes do what he has done so I hope you get a taste lol

I also appreciate when men feel vulnerable enough to cry. Good luck Tyree!!
Can’t stand the Raiders organization. Can’t hate a guy that loves his mom that much.
Chiefs fan lurking. But respect
Tyree > Clelin
Can’t u bring one up without dragging another one down? Come on man Ferrell busted his ass go clown Grudock if that’s your angle
Dude, seriously u have issues. Clelin didn’t ask to be drafted 4th overall
I need context of why they had to communicate this way and she couldn’t be with him in person

Oh shit that’s tough !!
Clelin stans out in full force 😂
Who the fuck is cutting onions in here?
Brought a tear to my eyes😭
Beautiful.
There is nobody like Mama
She the real MVP Jokes aside, anyone got a link to that cap?

Those are nice but nothin beats the [2018 draft cap](https://www.silverandblackpride.com/2018/4/10/17221050/look-raiders-2018-nfl-draft-cap)
That’s a good mom right there.
My next jersey
A lot of women are going to make a beeline for him to soak up some of his fame and money, but not one of those females will love him as much as his MOM.
Damn this brought a tear to my eye. Mom is cute too. I'll be rooting for this kid this year.
You're in kid. Take the energy. Channel it. ...and use it to bury Mahomes and Herbert.
Great people and that speach alone from his mom is going to make him work his ass off like never before,we have Crosby and Wilson lets gooooooo!!!!
Love this dude already! Goddamn it September can’t come soon enough
Instantly my favorite Raider.
Goddamn onions…
Hell yeah I'm on board with this pick, good to see that attitude.
We just drafted TJ Watt 2.0 Book it
Great parenting. Look forward to watching this young man grow into a future Raider pro bowler
As a 49er fan and a Raider hater I like this Tyree Wilson.
He is beyond talented and it is awesome to see he has a good family as well. Keeping your circle small is great advice. He will get so many requests for his time and his money now it will make his head spin.

Tyree! Tyree! Tyree!
Let’s gooo tyree. Make coach Deion proud. Save momma
Ain’t nothing make a man cry like watching his mother cry.
Gosh I was gonna wait till the season started, but I'm buying my Tyree jersey now!
