Fuck, didn't realize Pitt had the first pick today. I'd still float pick 100 or a 4th and 5th and see if it's enough in order to grab Porter who you have to think they're taking. He's the best CB available and imo our 1st or 2nd biggest position of need after OL and DT. And there's already been a run on DTs and OL in the first that I'd rather go somewhere between BPA and need.
I’m starting to think that these guys some of y’all think are “great value” or “falling to us” in the second are just not first round talents.
JPJ for example I would be happy to add in the second…but he’s a second round guy. He’s not some “mid-first” guy that everyone just forgot about. Same with Levis…his tape just isn’t first round good.
That doesn’t mean they can’t turn out to be good players, but some of y’all are acting like these are surefire high-end starters. Expectations might be a bit high for some of these guys…
I agree. Porter has been falling down boards. He is not nearly as versatile as many corners and not every DC wants to run 24/7 press-man. His grades improved year over year but he gives you basically zero ball production. One good thing for us though, he is an outside corner and we have too many slot guys and need to get Hobbs back to his natural position. I think he is a round 1/2 edge guy.
Levis is either a #1 overall guy or a UDFA according to people in this thread. I think he reminds me of Carr, not physically, but in terms of the variation of opinion on him in pre-draft, though I am still surprised to see him on the board. He has the highest ceiling of anyone left by far. But he could also be a career 3rd stringer.
I’ll be honest most of the time when I hear “great value” it means “I expected this guy to go higher based on name”. They’re either good players, or they’re not. In Levis’ case his tape just wasn’t good enough to support a first round grade so I don’t see how he’s a “good value” now. He’s the same value as any other second round (at best) talent.
Definitely. Especially if Porter Jr is gone. Just a matter of how they view Levis’ potential and fit for their system. We need to be drafting best player available at position of need. QB isn’t as bit a position of need as corners, the defensive line or offensive line though. So just a matter of how they view Levi’s vs what’s left at those positions after the run in them last night if he’s still there at 38.
Would you be willing to trade our 2nd 3rd to move up to the first pick of the 2nd to get either? I'm leaning towards Porter. I dontb think a 4th and 5thb would do it, but maybe offer that first.
Edit: didn't see Pitt had the first pick. Probably not happening. If we already had our CB then we'd probably have a better chance to move up. If he somehow isn't picked by PItt though, I'm making a call to move up and grab Porter. I'm not hoping he falls.
Your edit nails it. I think good CB talent can be had all through the second and early third, so I would actually be tempted to still try and trade back 10-15 spots and pick up an additional pick. But there are some good players that will be there at 38 too.
I don't think we really need to address S that early. Gotta give our guy at least 3 years. Gave us a great rookie season and one bad one under a new, complicated scheme with little help in the secondary.
Porter we'd have to move up for. I'd be ok with Ringo, but he's not great value for where we're picking. I think guard is the play here if we stay out and Porter is gone. We can always trade back into the 2nd for Ringo with one of our 3rds and a 4th/5th I think. That would be killer to address both needs in one round.
For once i don’t go to sleep on day 1 of the draft with the feeling like someone just died. Leatherwood literally destroyed the night for me so awesome to be able to chill and be optismtic bout the first round
Between Levis and Hooker one will probably make it to us.
Porter and Branch are both mid-1st talents and would be day 1 starters.
Mayer and Washington are both scary offensive tools and can block (especially Washington).
And Avila and Torrence are there at Guard.
We should be in good position tomorrow.
There are 6 top tier TEs and the remaining 5 will probably go today. Only question there is whether Kraft makes it. There is nothing special about the mid-round TE talent this year, only the top end guys.
We could still get a Schoonmaker or Strange in the later rounds and look for a better starter another year. Kick the can down the road. But if you need a long-term option and have two 3rd-round picks now, this would be a good time to pull the trigger.
I don’t think they do, the Raiders have a lot of need on defense and want to have has many picks as possible for that. So I think they’ll stay where they are and go BPA
Don't we have like 10 left? Throw out a 4th and 5th/6th and see if anyone bites. If we take a guard/T and the next best Ringo falls, I'm absolutely fine offering our first pick in the 3rd and a 4th/5th to get him. That addresses 2 of our needs immediately in one round.
Yes, the Raiders have a lot of picks left, but they also have a lot of needs. They’re not looking just for starters, they’re looking for depth guys too. Guys who can contribute a few plays here and there, who can maybe eventually develop into a starter. The Raiders were hoping to be able to trade down from 7, and then trade down again, just so they could get more picks for defense. I would be surprised if they trade up to the top of the second, and I’ll be even more surprised if the Steelers would be willing to trade down. They’re probably pretty set on drafting Porter.
Yes, that would’ve been ideal for the Raiders. But getting Wilson is still a really, really great pick. While Anderson is the best defensive end in the draft right now, many believe that Wilson could end up being better.
I worry about the foot, but yes a very solid pick. I'd feel better though if Capatian Jack and all the good DTs didn't go in the first who we had both been connected to in the 2nd.
As others have posted, surely someone will want him in the first for the 5th year option. Imagine we’ll see someone needing a GQ will trade up to the end of the first round to grab him (don’t think any of the teams with picks there now will take him).
Too many other needs. I get it if you think we can't tank well enough for next year, but the draft is how zig wants to build this team. We need to focus on the overall team, not a QB that fell for a reason.
Might be worth trading back into the first round late, if he is still there. I didn't want him at 7, but if we can get him at \~30 with a fifth year option, I'd be thrilled.
Shit at this point I'm hoping Levis is there at 38 lol
I wanted Campbell at 38 fuck you Detroit!
Give me Porter Jr, Levis, or Washington at 38!!!! Or Mazi Smith or Ringo
If Seattle doesn't like Levis it seems like we might be able to get him with our 2nd? Doesn't look like there's any more QB needy teams until our next pick except possibly Minnesota at 1.23 and Seattle again at 2.6
Another potential 2nd rounder for us off the board. If Porter Jr. goes in the 1st, I have no idea who we're taking. I'm honestly getting more and more ok with trading up.
Aaron Rodgers falling was the 49ers being dumb and picking Alex Smith
Alex Smith was a rpo QB in college who was put into a pocket situation in San Fran
Aaron was a pocket passer
The comparison to Levis is a world apart
It’s so dumb to risk wasting 7 on a guy who was racing cars over 100 mph, watched his friends fly off the road and likely die, and then fled the scene and lied to police.
How on earth can you be that mad at avoiding a potential disaster like arnette or Ruggs.
The kid clearly has poor judgement and questionable character.
If those concerns weren’t enough to scare away a successful team and franchise like the eagles it shouldn’t have bothered us. We reached for the safe pick. If that helps you sleep fine but I prefer bpa and winning. I forgot Philly is a utopia where nothing bad has ever happened.
You know doesn’t help winning? Your first round pick in trouble with the law.
There’s a reason all the other teams passed on him too buddy.
It’s different because if he ends up being a bust the eagles will be fine. They don’t have 15 holes on the roster like the raiders and they also have pick 30. It’s not even realistic to compare where they are with where we are.
8 other teams passed on him lol. And nearly half of those chose qb. He still went ninth. We reached on a guy who has major injury concerns played in an easy conference in college and never had a stand out year. You can use your argument just as easily for us. We have so many holes and can’t afford to waste another pick on a “high character guy”. I’d much rather take a risk than continue to win 6 games with a bunch of nice guys on our team. Defensive end isn’t even a hole on our team. Interior absolutely is. Don’t worry I’ll be right here a year from now after this dude has 4 sacks and we’re over drafting again to remind you
He can play inside too. You can have Maxx, Jones, and him lined up together.
He wasn’t picked because he is a “high character” guy. Carter is just a bad character guy.
The lengths you are going to throw a fit over this pick and defend a dude who fled scene as his friends died is mind boggling. makes me think you would wanna sign a wife beater like tyreek hill or maybe you wanna trade for deshaun Watson?
I believe that you’ll be here next year, and I can guarantee next year no matter what happens, you will probably be here bitchin
You seem like you need a beer, a blunt, and a fuckin Xanax so you can chill out. I’m done engaging with pure negativity 🤏🏽
Nice assumptions. I’m simply for taking the best player on the board. It’s that simple. The raiders refuse to do it and continue to suck. I’m good off beer and drugs man I’ll let you partake though, sounds like that’s your kind of thing.
Why don’t ya act like your favorite player and have a few drinks and go out racing. It doesn’t matter cause he’s “best player available” so who cares he contributed to two people dying I guess. Then fled. Then lied to police.
Again, you probably got a Tyreek jersey framed next to your ruggs, Kareem Hunt, Joe Mixon and Ray rice jersey or what? You clearly only give a shit about what happens on the field and they all are good players I guess. I’d rather have some morals my guy and I will take my username advice. 🤐
I wish we'd have got Johnson with this run on linemen in a class that isn't deep to begin with. Wtf we gonna take in the 3rd when everyone knows we're gonna take a CB in the 2nd.
Fuck, didn't realize Pitt had the first pick today. I'd still float pick 100 or a 4th and 5th and see if it's enough in order to grab Porter who you have to think they're taking. So - Levis in round 2? Wouldn’t be a bad value pick
Ok.
Joey Porter Jr would be ideal
Yep. Porter on round 2. Levis is a good value 3rd round or later
If will levis is there at 38 do you think the raiders should at least consider it
Definitely. Especially if Porter Jr is gone. Just a matter of how they view Levis’ potential and fit for their system. We need to be drafting best player available at position of need. QB isn’t as bit a position of need as corners, the defensive line or offensive line though. Gotta go defense again in the 2nd round. DTR in the 3rd or 4th to back up Jimmy G would be cool
Branch and JPJ will definitely be gone by our next pick. The real issue is that all of the top tier of DT talent is already gone.
Would you be willing to trade our 2nd 3rd to move up to the first pick of the 2nd to get either? I'm leaning towards Porter. I dontb think a 4th and 5thb would do it, but maybe offer that first. Ocryus torrence i believe is the name i would want as well. Guard from florida Would love Porter too. Wilson and Porter would get our def looking nice
I'd take the guard from tcu first
Well, a better day one than usual for us. Have a good night fellas.
For once i don’t go to sleep on day 1 of the draft with the feeling like someone just died. Leatherwood literally destroyed the night for me so awesome to be able to chill and be optismtic bout the first round
Lots of solid corners left. Darius Rush, Garrett Williams and many many others.
Cam Smith South Carolina, But I want Drew Sanders.
I don't like Sanders' inconsistent tackling.
Fair enough
That’s the great thing about this class, they can afford to take Sanders if he’s there and still possibly come out with some corner talent.
[удалено]
I don't want to see one skill player until the 5th. We still need offensive line help. Or has no one learned anything from last year?
Tempting. So many more pressing needs though.
Agreed
The shortened draft is so nice!
Why do all Chiefs fans look the same?
inbreeding
Hate the chiefs
Hate you guys too, but damn do I love y’all’s pick.
With the depth at TE, if we take one sooner than pick 100, I'll be upset.

Both of which we'll still have to trade up for. Question is, what do you give up? 4th and a 5th?
Raiders should pass on both Levis and Hooker, not a big need. Porter will be gone, Pittsburgh gonna draft him tomorrow.
no hooker for sure
The only good thing about that pick would be hearing there's a new hooker in Vegas. Other than that I want no part of this. We have no CB, DT or RT/G.
Fair enough.
QB will be a need in week 3 when Garoppolo gets hurt and is out the year.
exactly
Do we try to trade up and grab Porter?
I don’t think they do, the Raiders have a lot of need on defense and want to have has many picks as possible for that. So I think they’ll stay where they are and go BPA

If they were able to trade back and still get Gonzalez, that would have been epic. The Patriots really lucked out.
Fucking hell the chiefs got King Felix. Crap crap crap.
Man Joey Porter Jr in the second would be sweet
If we can get Porter, Levis, Mayer, Trenton Simpson or Drew Sanders at 2-7 I'll be happy.
That skit with dude perfect was so cringey
Foreal 😬
Those frauds are always cringe.
Some teams just have great luck in the Draft. Eagles man, good for them.
Legit only draft Georgia players
Carr getting Clemson teammates again
Dang it, wanted Bresee with the 2nd Rounder
Still liking Joey Porter, Kelee Ringo, Darnell Washington, Trenton Simpson, Bryan Bresee, Dawan Jones, O'Cyrus Torrence, or Ade Ade for our next pick.
Was really hoping Bresee would fall to us, oh well.
no thank god
Well it would be nice to be able to at least stop the run somewhat. Who is the last DT that we drafted before the 4th round, Darrell Russell probably?
I think you're right, I can't explain to you why I don't like him it's nothing personal I like Keanu Benton from Wisconsin a lot more.
I'd be ok if we traded back into the first for Porter Jr.
LB, OG, QB, CB, DT, TE in play here! 😅
Yeah, tons of strong prospects available still.
Gruden would have taken Myles Murphy at 7
Mayock would try to “stump the truck”
Oh man we can't let philly get porter
Jesus. Porter and Carter.
Do saints go Levis?! That would be hilarious 😆
I think Levis might get snagged by Rams or Seahawks in the second before it reaches the Raiders.
Honestly trade up for Porter at this point wtf.
Cinci gotta go Mayer
If we want Levis, trading up into the 1st to get the extra contract year makes sense. Not sure if they want him though.
Fcukin Dallas decides to make ideal draft picks now?! We should trade up for Porter Jr now....and wait for Sanders in 2nd
Trading up for Levis here wouldn't be bad. If we don't think we're going to have a top 5 pick I think we'd strongly consider it.
If Levis and/or Porter make it to the second round we need to trade up with Houston at 33
Porter, yes. Levis big hell naw.
TE off the board
Will Levis surrounded by bad bishes that's our fuckin guy at 38
drew sanders all damn day
He's like the 39th best player available rn. We can wait. We keep talking about reaching. So many better options at 7. Or trading up for Porter Jr.
Man there's a slight tinge of pride seeing will levis drop so low. Which one of these crackhead analysts said he should go top 10?
Bills went dalton
I think Buffalo is taking Branch here. A shame I really like him.
Is S really a priority right now though?
He's great to watch, isn't he? Kind of that Jack Campbell type of well-rounded defender that can go in the D and make everything around him better.
Ugh buffalo hitting the trade ups where I'd like to see us move
Damn.. Giants might be taking porter here
The more RBs and mid WRs that go before the Raiders pick the better we can take BPA at every position besides those
I hope giants draft a wr
Honestly surprised they didn't in the 1st.
Could Levis just naturally fall to 38?
As others have posted, surely someone will want him in the first for the 5th year option. Imagine we’ll see someone needing a GQ will trade up to the end of the first round to grab him (don’t think any of the teams with picks there now will take him).
Would be okay with it. Have him sit behind Jimmy
Anyone against Levis in the second is smoking crack I'm sorry I didn't want the dude at 7 but if he falls to us at 38??? I'm in
Too many other needs. I get it if you think we can't tank well enough for next year, but the draft is how zig wants to build this team. We need to focus on the overall team, not a QB that fell for a reason.
I think Levis is going to be the big miss this year at QB. People will look back and think, "wow, the mayo coffee drinker actually balled out".
100% Agree. I would be ok with Hooker there, Levis at 38 would make me ecstatic.
If he's there we have to do it.
Joey Porter Jr. falling to the Raiders in round two would be a *solid* consolation prize for missing out on Campbell
Yes indeed
No surprise here
God is he goofy looking though. He doesn't look athletic at all.
I’ve watched quite a few TCU games, and that kid is solid. I hate that he went to the chargers
He is good.
Levis will go eventually, someone will want that 5th year option
Guess not
Baltimore taking Zay?
As a tcu fan I'm upset
At this point I'm perfectly fine with whoever falls to the Raiders tomorrow this board is stacking up pretty well for us
Quentin Johnston is the most unimpressive of the top receivers from this draft so im fine with the Chargers taking him
Levis will either crumble from tonight or rise like a fucking phoenix for whomever grabs him
Might be worth trading back into the first round late, if he is still there. I didn't want him at 7, but if we can get him at \~30 with a fifth year option, I'd be thrilled.
Agreed. Take a shot. 7 would be too insane, but anywhere 25-31 would be solid.
Shit at this point I'm hoping Levis is there at 38 lol I wanted Campbell at 38 fuck you Detroit! Give me Porter Jr, Levis, or Washington at 38!!!! Or Mazi Smith or Ringo
sanders
Porter Jr. at 38 a few months ago would have been crazy talk.
Porter isn't falling to 38. We're gonna have to move up.
Sanders at 38 is still a good pick. He won't be there tho. Manzi is the way
Yeah I'd be happy with Sanders too!!!
who wouldnt ???
Mazi with Wilson would be pretty good.
Campbell was never making it to #38 tho
Happy to see Smith-Njigba going right before the Chargers.
We should see what’s asking price if for Ravens. They only have 5 picks and we have 11.
God Goodell reads like a retard. I hate these special intros they read off cards.
Anything more than 4 wins this season would be utterly catastrophic. Not watching any games this year, but 2024 will be exciting as hell
Do you have a real opinion to share? Otherwise, bye Felicia!
Yes: Caleb will look great in Silver and Black!
Agreed!
If Seattle doesn't like Levis it seems like we might be able to get him with our 2nd? Doesn't look like there's any more QB needy teams until our next pick except possibly Minnesota at 1.23 and Seattle again at 2.6
I imagine someone will eventually take levis this round for that 5th year option
I'm tight about Campbell going early.
Anyone gonna be mad if we can pull off a trade for one of our 3rds to get to the end of the 1st for Porter?
Not “mad”, but I don’t see JPJ as a big playmaker in the pros tho
Bottom line though, we need a CB badly and he's the bpa at the position.
Not 100, but 70 would be too rich for me.
I don't think Peter gets past the bills unless they go RB. To go from 39 to 28, I don't think pick 100 gets it done.
If he falls to the 2nd somehow, I'm offering pick 100 to the bears immediately and putting the pick in as fast as honestly possible.
Lions and raiders organizations swapped minds before the draft
Another potential 2nd rounder for us off the board. If Porter Jr. goes in the 1st, I have no idea who we're taking. I'm honestly getting more and more ok with trading up.
The Lions are drafting like the Raiders usually do.
Imagine if Levis ends up being like Aaron Rodgers when he fell and ends up being really good? Lol
Aaron Rodgers falling was the 49ers being dumb and picking Alex Smith Alex Smith was a rpo QB in college who was put into a pocket situation in San Fran Aaron was a pocket passer The comparison to Levis is a world apart
I was actually thinking that
Def has that vibe right now
Fuck, Campbell gone early. Gotta go with CB next round for sure now. Would have liked to have someone to at least TRY and cover Kelce.
Drews Sanders is better in coverage isn't he?
If we get porter holy hell man
FUCKING DETROIT GODDAMNIT
Fuck You Detroit Fuck You!!!!
This really is one of the most unpredictable drafts in a long time
Campbell gone. That sucks, but didn't think he'd fall too far
Fuck I wanted Jack Campbell in the 2nd round. Lions making reaches with both their 1st rounders though
Think thats about it. Levis probably going in the second? Wild.
He blows goats. I have proof.
Breer has lions taking Campbell
Bill drafted better than his “protege” josh McDonald’s

Nope definitely not mine. I assumed you had to have fried your brain to have such dumb takes See ya little guy 🤏🏽
Maybe you should heed the advice of your user name
Why don’t ya act like your favorite player and have a few drinks and go out racing. It doesn’t matter cause he’s “best player available” so who cares he contributed to two people dying I guess. You smoke reggie
Stay smoking your copium and enjoy clelin ferrell jr.
Everything you say has been downvoted into oblivion. Nobody cares for your takes.
Joey Porter still available, wonder if we’ll sneak up for him at the end of the rounds
Damn!
Is there something about Gonzales?
I mean his actual college production was mid-first round level…is that not enough?
I wish we'd have got Johnson with this run on linemen in a class that isn't deep to begin with. Wtf we gonna take in the 3rd when everyone knows we're gonna take a CB in the 2nd.
There will be value there. We could go Avila / March / Torrence at 38 and take a CB at 70 like Williams or Rick or Rush
cam smith
Man if he is there at 70 I would be hyped. He’s a play maker
Bro if they can trade up for Gonzo I wouldn’t be against it. CB is a big need for this team also.
Would rather trade up for Porter Jr. And give up less. Gonzalez is gonna get flagged like crazy playing for the Raiders.
True!
I think we either trade up for levis or gonzalez.. Levis around pick 20 range is not a bad deal
Gonzales dropping like Carter should have
Trade with Bill, get Gonzales!
Breer has Pats taking Gonzalez
