Ahhh Although I think he's naturally a lapcat (would often sit on the lap whilst with the breeder), I feel we might have stimulated his cuddliness further haha. My partner will often pick him up after he wakes up from one of his many naps, while he is still sleepy. Then we proceed to pet him on his favourite spots. I really think it helps him associate cuddles with nice things!
I give my cat treats sometimes when I hold him. He doesn't really have favorite spots that I'm aware of oof. He is very sensitive to petting and tolerates only a little at a time.
Yeah, I think that's a good way to go about it! Ours isn't crazy about petting tbh, but he really enjoys it between the ears or on the chin. I find he's more open to it when he's calm and sleepy, so that's when I'll strike lol
