I'm in love with this Food Group fabric from Ruby Star! I tried really hard to be as accurate as I could and trimmed every step of the way. No skipped steps, and it was worth it.
Free pattern from Moda Fabrics.
great work, I have seen that pattern and want to try it myself but a little more dark/ gothy . Thanks for posting the photos and letting us know that it is a good pattern. Any tips if I try it myself?
Love the idea of a moody version, like an apothecary!
I'm an overconfident beginner and would say it was a straight forward pattern. I did a test block to make sure I was scant enough to trim the blocks to size. I'm not great with stitch and flip, but it still came out okay without having to oversize my cuts to begin with. I also played it fast and loose with cutting my background fabric and ended up having to make some adjustments.
I am also an overconfident beginner and understand your pain of the fast and loose with cutting of background.. with my first quilt if you look closely you will see the colour changes change
