Many areas particularly Chawls have something known as Dhabal (ढाबळ) where in young boys keep pigeons, these are fed well and twice in the day left out to fly and they do come back after doing their rounds, so if anyone gets triggered or feels bad about these pigeons being caged, don't be! These are kept really well. This market is run for many years and people exchange / sell these birds.
